Chapter 5

Your POV
Bell and I just sit there. Sobbing into eachothers arms. My face buried in his chest, as his head rests on mine.
I don't want this moment to end. I wish time would just freeze. Right here and now. We sit there for a while longer, then the silence was broken.
"(Y/n), we should probably find a way out of here." Bell says. I sniffle and look up into his big red eyes. I wipe his tears.
"You're right." I answer.

Bell POV
Good thing my face and eyes are so red from crying. She can't see me blushing. I stand up as (y/n) wipes her tears away.
Her (h/l) (h/c) hair is so pretty. How have I not noticed? As she's about to stand up, her legs give out because of the way she was sitting. I quickly react and grab her.
"Oh, th-thank you Bell..." She stutters, "Guess my legs fell asleep." She looks at me and blushes lightly.

Your POV
(Y/n), what the hell are you doing? Stop blushing!
"Can you walk?" Bell asks.
"Huh? O-oh ye-yeah, I think so." I answer.
"Alright, we gotta figure a way out of here..." Bell trails, but I'm to focused on the fact that he's holding my hand.
"I think we should go this way." He states. I look at him, he's going to let go of my hand.
Please. Just a little longer. Let me feel safe for a little longer. As Bell starts to let go, I don't.
"Mm..? What is it, (y/n)." He asks. I look at him. Then back at our hands.
Wait did I just-
"(Y/n)?.." He implies. His red eyes filled with worry. They look so sincere. I could stare at them all day.
"I-it's just...that...um. Know what? Nevermind haha..." I say awkwardly.
"...Do you...want...to hold my hand?" He asks looking away. I feel my heart in my chest pounding as I look at the white haired boy.

Bell POV
I stand there looking at the ground. Feeling stupid.
Why would I ask her that!? She probably doesn't want to! You idiot!

"What I was going to say is, is that you actually...make me feel safer...I don't want to lose that feeling...a-and...what if I loose th-that feeling when I let go of your h-hand...?" My heart flutters. I look at (Y/n), but she is averting from my gaze. She must feel awkward. Showing such a vulnerable side after showing me how strong and tough she is as a fighter. I smile to myself. Then at her.
"Why didn't you say so?" She looks back at me after I say that.
"..I didn't want you to think that I was weak." She says sadly. I take both of her hands in mine.
"(Y/n), you are the strongest person I've ever met. Hearing what you had to go through, and what you are feeling now, I can't even imagine the pain you're going through. No matter how strong you are, there will always be moments when you need to rely on others for help. You might not have had that before, but you can lean on me now. I want to help you anyway I can. I will gladly hold your hand if it makes you feel safe." I say whole heartedly. She looks at me.
"How was I so blessed to run into you that day?" She smiles.
"Haha. Let's go." I smile down at her.

Time skip
Hand in hand, we slowly try to figure our way out of the maze.
We've got to be getting somewhere.
"Hey Bell?" (Y/n) asks tiredly.
"Yes?" I answer.
"How long have we been walking?" Her feet start to drag a little.
"I don't know...20 minutes maybe?" I guess, "why?"
"I think we've passed this same flower 13 times..." she points at a small purple flower sprouting out of the ground.
"You sure?" I ask.
"...Mhm..." She answers quietly.
(Y/n)'s energy is drained. I don't know if we'll be able to go on like this. Well, I don't know about (y/n) that is. She's so tired. Should we rest? I could carry her. Should I ask to carry her?
Thud
I look back to see (y/n) on her knees almost completely asleep.
"(Y/n)!" I yell trying to keep my voice down so I don't startle her.
"..mm?" She answers groggily. I hesitate for a second.
"Hey, I'm gonna pick you up, I'd like to keep moving for a little while longer, okay?" I wait for a second, no answer.
She's completely asleep. I go in to pick her up bridal style. When she's up in my arms, she stirs in her sleep. She rubs her eye and it flutters open.
"Mmn...Bell? What are you doing?" She asks. I blush.
"I-I um...go back to sleep okay? I'm gonna carry you so we can keep moving." I answer quietly. (Y/n) wakes up quite a bit at that response.
"N-no! That's not fair to you! You need to sleep aswell!" She says angrily. I stifled a laugh. So cute.
"What's so funny?" She looks at me annoyed.
"Nothing, nothing. So you won't be satisfied unless I get some sleep too, right? I ask. She nods her head.

I find a spot where the soil is soft and lie her down. I lie down beside her. I shiver.
"Are you cold? Do you want your coat back?" She asks concerned.
"N-no! I'm fine! Remember your dress?" I blush.
"Oh...right." She looks guilty, "w-well then....at least...a-allow me t-to heat you up." She says embarassed.
"Wha? How?-" I was interrupted by (y/n) hugging me.
"W-with b-body heat...i-is this o-okay?" She asks blushing.
"Y-yeah." I answer.
"G-goodnight, Bell." She says.
"Goodnight, (y/n)." I answer. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep. She was so tired. Emotionally and mentally drained.

I looked at her for a bit. She is really pretty. The way her hair sways in the wind. Or when her eyes glisten after a victory in battle. Her smile when she's truly happy.
"How could anyone want to hurt you?" I ask as I put my hand on her cheek. I kiss her forehead lightly, and pull her closer to me.
So warm. After that last thought, it doesn't take long for me to fall asleep.
