Tears of an Angel
Pairing: Alice Angel and Bendy (not exactly meant to be seen as strictly romantic; so see it as you'd like.)
Basis: based on the events of a certain killing game I joined, man am I in an angsty mood.
Alice had no idea how long it had been since she'd been separated from Bendy. But it was beginning to worry her. The devil always had separation issues, stemming all the way from when their creator had left the studio.
But then a body discovery announcement played...and when she observed the scene, she pieces things together very quickly.
Cover my eyes, cover my ears.
No. This wasn't what she thought it was- it couldn't be. Bendy loved Lunar! Why would he do this?
Tell me these words are a lie.
Still, with every passing moment, her heart weighed in her chest, fear for what was to come.
It can't be true that I'm losing you.
For better or worse, the toons were never separated. Not even when the employees began disappearing. Not through that, and not through this.
The sun cannot fall from the sky.
The investigation did nothing to calm her growing fear. Bendy himself seemed calm, albeit a little jittery. Was that because he had lost a close friend? Or something more?
Can you hear heaven cry tears of an Angel?
The trial came far too soon. She needed more time
Tears of an Angel
No. She wouldn't cry. Not now. It would only give things away.
Tears of an Angel
There was still hope. Still a chance! Bendy had an alibi after all.
Tears of an Angel
But the accusations kept stacking up. Higher and higher, until Alice was no longer confident in her false hope.
Stop every clock.
Time drew to a standstill; all that was left now was the voting.
The stars are in shock.
"Bendy please..." she whispered, her voice threatening to break. Bit by bit, her mask was crumbling.
The river would run to the sea.
A chain came out to drag him away from her. But after what Mr. Drew did, she couldn't stand by. So she leaped over her podium and sprinted after him, barely making it inside the execution room before the doors shut behind her.
"I won't let you fly," she sang quietly, trying to reassure Bendy despite the situation they were now both in. "I won't say goodbye. I won't let you slip away from me."
How did the ink machine come to this dismal place? It didn't belong here.
"Can you hear heaven cry the tears of an Angel?"
Bendy laughed at her, though it was choked up with his own sobs. "Tears of an angel..."
"Tears of an Angel."
She held onto his hand, grasping it tightly as the ink demon began to melt within the pentagram he was trapped in.
"Tears of an Angel...."
She pulled against the pentagram's magic, straining with everything she had.
So hold on, be strong.
Yes, it was working! Little by little, Bendy's body came back into form and out of the danger zone. Just a little longer
"Everyday hope will grow!" Bendy sang, his body shaking from the pain he felt.
"I'm here, don't you fear," she sang back to comfort Bendy, despite the pain. though her voice was wobbly.
"Little one, don't let go!"
At the very last instant, a jolt of agonizing pain split the two cartoons apart. It was so painful and flung the angel back so forcefully that she crashed into some shelves. She was half conscious, but struggled to get up to save Bendy.
The machine worked faster, covering Bendy in ink while the little devil could only howl in agony. Alice crawled in front of the now vacant pentagram and sobbed.
Cover my eyes, cover my ears.
She wept and howled bitterly, too exhausted to do much else. She barely caught the figurine that fell into her arms.
"Tell me these words are a lie."
