Chapter 3: Visiting Jason
Y/N's P.O.V
After a crappy day of school, I'm now at home.
My teacher gave me an assignment. She knows about what happened with Peter.
She wants me to write an essay in order to help process everything.
I walk into my dorm room to see Robby sat at his desk.
Robby: Hey.
Y/N: Hi.
Robby: How you doing? I heard you got given an assignment.
Y/N: Yeah, I did. My teacher wants me to write an essay. She thinks it'll help me process my transition/adjustments.
Robby: Do you think it'll help?
I sigh.
Y/N: Honestly, I don't know. I don't know what will help me at this point.
Robby: Well, I hope it does.
Y/N: Yeah, me too. Well, I better get working on this. I just wanna get it out of the way.
Harry: Alright, man.
I sit down at my desk and get to work.
(Ten minutes later)
So, for the past ten minutes I've been trying to work on this assignment.
I haven't even written anything yet. I just can't.
I move in my chair and look out of my window. I then remember my brother, Jason is back in town.
He was on a trip for the past two weeks.
Time to go and see him.
I get up and open my bedroom window.
Once I'm out of the house I go to see my big brother.
(Fifteen minutes later)
I make it to Jason's apartment and climb up the fire escape.
When I get there I see him sat on the couch.
So, I snap a pic of him and send it to him.
A second later he looks out the window to see me.
Y/N: Hey, Jason. Did I scare you?
He chuckles.
After that he comes over to the window and opens it.
Jason: What are you doin' here?
Y/N: I was bored.
He smirks.
Jason: Okay, come in.
He backs away and let's me climb through the window.
After that we hang out and I'm now punching his punching bag.
Jason: So, how's school been, little bro?
Y/N: It's good. I mean as good as things can be.
He chuckles.
Jason: You talking to any girls. I mean smart girls are some good ones. Mid-Town High must be full of 'em.
I chuckle.
Y/N: No. There's no-one.
Jason: Hey, I can't have my little brother out there with no game. Did I ever tell you about how I got girls back in high school.
Y/N: No. Besides, I've got game. There's this new girl there. And she's kinda into me. You know how it is?
Jason: Oh yeah? What's her name?
Y/N: Uh, you know, I'm still laying down the groundwork right now.
He laughs and sits on the couch with me.
Jason: You know about the shoulder touch?
Y/N: Yeah, of course. But you know, tell me anyway.
Jason: Tomorrow, find that girl. You walk up to her and be like.
He puts his hand on my shoulder.
Jason: Hey.
I chuckle.
Y/N: You serious, J?
Jason: I'm tellin' you, bro. It's a science. I used that move on alot of girls in high school and it worked every time. Girls like a guy who's not afraid to go for it.
He tries to show me the shoulder touch, but it doesn't really work.
Jason just laughs.
Jason: Man, dad has done a terrible job at teaching you this stuff. I guess it's good you've got me.
I sigh.
Y/N: Yeah. Tell me about it.
After that I show J some of my work.
So, he takes me somewhere I can put it up.
(One hour later)
He and I go to an abandoned subway in downtown Brooklyn.
We walk down the tunnel.
Y/N: Man, how'd you find this place?
Jason: A few friends and I found it back in the day. It was a hangout spot for us.
He climbs over the fence, then I do the same.
Jason switches on the power and we're in a big room.
I walk into it.
Y/N: (Echos) Brooklyn!
I go over to a blank part of the wall.
Y/N: It's so fresh.
Jason throws me spray paint and I get to work.
Jason: Alright, you're on your own, Y/N. That's looking good.
(Thirty minutes later)
So, after about thirty minutes I finish my work with Jason's help.
We sit back and look at it.
Jason: Wow.
Y/N: Is it too crazy?
Jason: No. Definitely not. I see what you're doing here, bro. Yeah. You know, dad and I used to do stuff like this together.
Y/N: No way. Bullshit.
Jason: No, I'm serious. He used to take me to places like this and throw up some art.
Y/N: What happened?
Jason: It all changed after dad became a cop after that. We just, I don't know... it just became harder to hang out with. Dad's a good guy and I love him, but... well, you know what I'm saying.
I nod.
Y/N: Yeah. I do. But he's a pain in my ass.
Jason: What do you mean?
I sigh.
Y/N: He's always pushing me, even when it's not what I want.
Jason: You know he's only doing it cause he loves you, right? He did the same to me when I was your age.
Y/N: Yeah, I know. Just wished he'd stop sometimes.
Jason: I get it. I really do.
J's phone vibrates.
Jason: Okay, buddy. Let's go. I need to get back home and get ready for work.
He gets up.
I get up and go to take a picture of my work.
Just then I see a spider crawl onto my hand.
Y/N: Huh?
The spider bites my hand.
Y/N: Ah.
I slap it off my hand.
Jason: Hey, you okay?
Y/N: Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm good.
Jason: Alright, let's go.
I nod and we leave the subway.
Hopefully, that spider bite doesn't do anything crazy to me.
