IT WAS DAYS LIKE THIS WHERE DIONNE REALLY MISSED THE MELBOURNE WEATHER. The sweltering heat and soggy humidity Brisbane was notorious for caused her nothing but pain and sunburns. She missed being able to walk out into the March sun without melting into a puddle of 'wow, I hate humidity.'

She wiped away the sweat beading down her forehead for the hundredth time, convinced there must be an infinite stream. Her and Korra were back in the office but the latter girl had asked if they could sit out under the sun to plan for tonight. Korra was always so enthusiastic when there was good weather, she didn't have the heart to say no. "So, I got us a list of who we've not got any content with in order to most followed on social media to least," she'd been saying, sliding a piece of paper towards her.

Korra's brow furrowed as she looked over the list. "Have we got a major interview lined up or is it just going to be short-form one's with everyone tonight?"

Dionne scratched her head. "Well, Timothee hasn't lined one up so I think we're just doing mini ones after the game." Speaking of Timothee, Dionne hadn't seen much of him since they'd gotten back to Australia. He'd barely been in the office, having a lot of 'meetings' with the higher ups meant he was in and out all the time. Not having him to report to made her anxious, she liked having someone to approve her work plans before she went through with them.

"Did you see the post Carrigan made?" Asked Korra after a moment, watching Dionne closely for her reaction.

Dionne shook her head, scribbling out a question in her notebook. "No, I blocked him. He was annoying me." She looked up when her co worker didn't respond straight away, frowning. "Why?"

Korra pulled her phone out wordlessly, sliding it across the table open on his latest post. "Seems he can't stop shading you in his captions, I'm sure Timmy will be excited about the publicity."

The brunette pinched the bridge of her nose, feeling a migraine come on just by looking at the picture of him. Huffing, she rummaged through her purse for her own phone. As predicted, she had a bunch of new followers, mentions and dm requests—it's like he was trying to build her up a social media presence at this point. "Fuck sake," she groaned.

DIONNE COULD UNDERSTAND THE APPEAL OF LIVE SPORT. The atmosphere of the stadium, all clad in their team colours as they roar in support of their favourite players. An obnoxious voice over the loud speaker, only encouraging them to be more rowdy. There was a comradely amongst this stadium of strangers; all here for the common goal to see their team to victory. (Sure, some were also her to place massive bets and drink a lot of beer but that was also in the spirit of the sport.) Even though it wasn't her scene, she could still respect it.

Trying not to watch a specific brunette player wearing a number thirteen jersey, she spent the match people watching (which, in hindsight, probably wasn't the smartest when she was supposed to be reporting on the game but that was what watching the highlights was for). She saw fathers and sons, hugging for probably the first time when a player would score. Dionne could help but smile when the stadium would burst into a silly little dance—from old men to little girls alike—to celebrate specifically when the Broncos would score while the bitter South Sydney fans would boo them. There were a row of teenage girls in front of her, pouring over one of the phones as they made Tik Toks about the players they found attractive. Maybe she'd write a positive article for once, capturing the energy of a game.

She'd hardly even noticed when the full time horn sounded and people began dispersing from the stadium. "Let's try to beat them into the sheds," Korra said, nudging her to follow as she nodded at the field.

Dionne looked down at the green pitch, watching the players circle around to the hoards of screaming fans. Her eye twitched, watching him sign a young girls poster and smiling for her BeReal. "Good idea," she mumbled absentmindedly as she stood to follow.

Dodging the crowds was the easy part, working up the strength to go into the loud sheds was the hard part. She could hear a loud mix of cheers and music coming from inside. As she went inside, her stomach dropped; it was probably just as busy as it'd been in the stands in here. Like sardines in a can, family members all sporting maroon merchandise packed in.

"Start rolling," Dionne muttered, pushing through the hoards to track down any players. Her eyes locked with Deine Mariner, who'd scored a double tonight. The olive skinned player smiled at her, straightening his poster as the camera landed on him. "Deine, pleasure to properly meet you," she said curtly, extending her hand for him to shake.

Accepting, he nodded excitedly. "I've heard a lot about you," he admitted, "how are you?"

Dionne decided to tuck that piece of information into her brain for later, when she'd have time to properly over analyse what he meant by that. "Feeling the buzz of your fans—how was it to get your first win of the season?" She held the microphone to him expectantly.

He nodded again, more enthusiastic this time. "Oh, it's a great feeling, aye," he began but his voice faded out as she saw Patrick round the corner, chest dripping and shirt missing in action. The ghost of his hands, what they'd done against her skin made her face burn as she tried to pay attention to what Deine was saying.

Almost robotic-like, when he finished his answer, she asked another question from her pre-prepared list. Across the room, Patty let his hair out of the now messed up bun he'd played in. The tension leaving his forehead making him sigh in relief. He swipe some sweat from his forehead as he glanced around the busy room, trying to locate his family in the crowd but instead he was met by a pair of brown eyes. He didn't know how to feel about the intensity she'd been staring at him with but he couldn't look away, even when she did. All he could think about was when she looked at him like that—being under him, however.

She looked beautiful as ever, dark hair pulled into a slick ponytail with money pieces pulled out to frame her face. Her black, skin tight dress accentuated all the right places of her body. He readjusted himself in his seat, trying not to have a reaction the memory of what she looked like without clothes. The way her bare skin had glowed under the moonlight the peaked through the curtains, smooth like silk.

He watched, lips in a straight line as she continued to interview the winger. The petty side of him wondered if he'd be able to force her into interviewing him next if he just came in an interrupted. It'd be so easy, all he'd have to do was mosey on over casually and throw an arm around Deine, who'd use that as an excuse to go be with his family. They'd be left together and she'd have no choice but to play nice for the camera.

She weaved in and out of the crowd, her camera woman following her as she interviewed various members of his team. He wondered how long she'd be able to get away with not interviewing him—he knew the public wanted her to, he'd read the comments. He could also imagine her boss would want it to happy at some point, for that sake of publicity.
