Guys. I LOVED writing this. I have no idea if it was any fun to also read, but there was one day where I sat at a café for six hours only writing for this fic. This was just so breezy and light and my god was it actually sweet. If you haven't read a fic from me before, let me tell you, what a fucking win that is.

I know that this final chapter was significantly shorter than the rest of the fic, but I think adding any more scenes might have made it forced. I debated writing out their mating scene, but I think that it just wasn't needed to tie their story up. I hope that it was cheese-y in an indulgent way, though, and that it felt like a good ending.

I can't express this with enough sincerity, but thank you to everyone who got to this point with this story, who commented, left a kudos, or simply enjoyed it silently. This fic has been such an incredibly fun journey even though it grew like crazy while posting. Everyone who has interacted has made this entire experience priceless for me.

The inspiration for this story came from a personal experience I've had over the past few months. I suddenly found myself a part of a completely different sub-culture, and while people in no way are stereotypes, I do think different sub-cultures prescribe to different communication styles and perspectives on reality. Not just a new lens to look at situations through, but a fundamentally different understanding of the world around them.

It was genuinely really jarring at first, but I think that I personally was too quick to discredit some people's life experiences because they happened to have lived kinder ones than I have. What surprised me most, is that I now feel really connected to these new people in my life, despite us not knowing the deepest parts of our histories. Not every relationship needs to be grounded in something heavy to be a genuine, close, relationship.

This is a way too deep analysis of a fun rom com fanfiction, but I tend to think way too deeply about my stories once we reach the end of them since I'm in my feelings over the fact that it's over.
