chapter :6

Anya was enjoying the chariot ride, her laughter echoing in the air as she leaned out, waving her arms like she was on a roller coaster. Krishna watched her with a smile, though he felt a bit embarrassed by the attention her antics were drawing from passersby.

"Anya," Krishna gently urged, "perhaps you could sit down properly? We have a long journey ahead of us. Don't you have any questions you want to ask me?"

Anya, still grinning, turned to Krishna with wide eyes. "Oh, plenty of questions! Okay, first: Are you a BTS ARMY?"

Krishna blinked, momentarily thrown off. "A what?"

Anya giggled. "A BTS ARMY! You know, a fan of the greatest boy band from my world. Never mind, you probably wouldn't know them... unless you're secretly a fan of modern music?"

Krishna chuckled, shaking his head. "I'm afraid I'm not that familiar with BTS, as much as you Anya. But I do enjoy music - the divine kind, especially when played on my flute."

Anya pouted playfully. "Oh, well. Second question: Can you time-travel? I mean, can you take me back and forth between my world and here whenever I want?"

Krishna smiled, amused. "Time-travel isn't quite my specialty, Anya. I can move through time if needed, but it's not something we do casually. And I can't take you back to your world."

Anya made a face. "Bummer. Okay, third question: Can you make me invisible? Or, even better, can you give me super speed so I can run away from boring things like chores?"

Krishna laughed. "I think you're fast enough as you are. Besides, you have the gift of bringing laughter wherever you go. Why hide it?"

Anya gave a dramatic sigh. "Alright, no superpowers then... Fourth question: Are there any unicorns or magical creatures around here? I mean, this place looks magical enough."

Krishna replied with a grin, "Magical creatures? We have a few interesting beings in this Yuga, but I've yet to meet a unicorn."

Anya sighed in disappointment. "No unicorns? That's okay, I guess. Fifth question: Can you create an endless supply of snacks? Like, maybe a magical snack box that never runs out?"

Krishna laughed again. "If I gave you an endless snack box, Anya, I fear Dwarka would soon run out of food!"

Anya giggled. "Fair point! Okay, sixth question: How do you deal with having so many wives? I mean, isn't it confusing sometimes? How do you remember all their names?"

Krishna smiled serenely. "I cherish each of my wives equally, Anya. Love has a way of keeping things in order."

Anya raised her eyebrows. "Wow, impressive! I'd probably mix up everyone's names all the time. You must have some kind of super memory!"

Krishna chuckled. "Perhaps I do."

Before Anya could launch into another question, Krishna interrupted her gently. "Aren't you curious, Anya, about how you ended up here in Dwarka, in this Yuga?"

Anya blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "Oh, right! I guess I was so excited, I forgot to ask."

Krishna smiled warmly. "Well, let me explain. You see, a rakshasa, a powerful demon, was given a boon by Lord Shiva, which allowed him to move freely between different Yugas. I was pursuing him, trying to stop him from creating chaos. In his attempt to escape, he opened a portal that connected our worlds. At that very moment, your plane happened to pass through the portal, and that's how you accidentally crash-landed into this time and place."

Anya's eyes widened. "Whoa, so I'm here because of some demon playing hopscotch with timelines? And there's no way back?"

Krishna nodded. "I'm afraid not, Anya. For now, you're here in Dwarka."

Anya paused, seeming to process this seriously for a moment, then shrugged. "Well, okay! As long as I don't have to do any homework or take any exams, I'm good. Plus, no internet is still a bummer, but I guess I'll survive!"

Krishna, both amused and relieved at her nonchalant reaction, asked, "You truly are something, Anya."

Anya grinned widely. "Oh, I know. Anyway, back to my questions! So, can you fly without wings? Do you know how to summon a genie? Can you make me a goddess for a day?"

Krishna shook his head, still laughing. "Anya, your questions could fill a library. I'm afraid I can't make you a goddess, but you already have the energy of one."

Anya, undeterred, continued, "What about a time machine? Or, ooh, what about a magical wardrobe that takes me to another dimension, like in the stories?"

Krishna sighed, still smiling. "Anya, Dwarka is filled with mysteries. You might find things even more fascinating than time machines or wardrobes."

Anya's eyes sparkled. "Adventure, huh? As long as it doesn't involve chores, I'm in!"

Krishna's smile softened. "I promise, Anya, no chores. Just a lot of experiences to learn from."

Anya pretended to think deeply. "Hmm, experiences, huh? Does that include meeting a talking animal or a fairy godmother?"

Krishna replied, "Perhaps something even better"

As they arrived at Dwarka, Anya's mouth dropped open in awe. The city rose majestically from the sea, gleaming like a golden jewel. It was like a scene out of a fairy tale, with sparkling towers and domes, lush gardens filled with colorful flowers, and grand temples lining the streets.

"Wow!" Anya gasped. "It's like an ancient paradise, but with even more sparkle!"

Krishna laughed. "Welcome to Dwarka, Anya. This is my home."

Anya bounced with excitement. "Is there a place to eat? I'm starving! And maybe a library where I can read about all the ancient secrets?"

Krishna chuckled. "There are plenty of places to eat, and we do have libraries with ancient texts, though I doubt they have the stories you're used to."

Anya sighed dramatically. "Alright, I guess ancient scrolls will do for now. But if you find anything that's more my style, let me know first!"

Krishna grinned. "You have my word."

As they reached the palace gates, Krishna's wife, Rukmini, emerged, carrying a silver thali adorned with a diya and flowers to welcome them. She was radiant, her smile warm and welcoming.

"Welcome, Lord Krishna," Rukmini said, her eyes filled with love. Then she turned to Anya, "And you must be Anya. Welcome to Dwarka."

Anya's eyes widened as she took in Rukmini's beauty. "Wow, Krishna!" she exclaimed loudly, "Your wife is so beautiful! I mean, like, goddess-level beautiful! Actually, all the women here are so stunning! Are they all goddesses or something?"

She then added in a softer, more wistful tone, "Look at me... I'm just... average. Not like these heavenly beauties." Her shoulders slumped. "I guess I just don't measure up to everyone here."

Everyone around exchanged concerned glances, worried that she might be feeling insecure. Rukmini, trying to comfort her, said, "Oh, dear Anya, you are also very beautiful, with your unique golden hair and bright eyes. You are no less than a goddess yourself."

Krishna's sister, Subhadra, chimed in, "Yes, you are truly lovely, Anya!"

Krishna nodded with a kind smile. "Indeed, Anya. You have a charm all your own."

Anya's face lit up with a grin, "Oh, I know! My blonde hair is pretty special, right? And these eyes? Top-notch. I mean, I'm probably the most beautiful person in my whole neighborhood back home. It's nice that you all finally noticed!"

The palace courtyard fell silent for a moment as everyone stared, dumbfounded by her reply.

Krishna stifled a laugh while Balaram whispered to Subhadra, "Is she serious?"

Subhadra, still amused, replied, "I think she truly believes it!"

Anya continued, completely unaware of the stunned reactions. "So, tell me, where do I go to get a makeover? I heard ancient beauty treatments are the best!"

Rukmini, struggling to keep a straight face, said, "We shall certainly arrange that for you, Anya."

Krishna, now laughing openly, added, "Anya, you don't need a makeover. Your spirit is already bright enough to outshine any jewels in Dwarka."

Anya grinned widely, "Oh, Krishna, you always know how to make a girl feel special!"

Balaram, still recovering from his shock, muttered, "Well, this one will certainly keep Dwarka lively..."

Subhadra giggled, "Indeed, she will."

Anya, feeling completely at home, looked around. "So, where's my room? And is there a snack bar nearby? I'm starving!"

Krishna, trying not to laugh too hard, replied, "Follow me, Anya. I think we have just the place for you."
------
As they walked through the palace, Anya continued firing off questions, her curiosity seemingly endless.

"So, Krishna, what's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Do you guys even have ice cream here? Oh, and can you teach me some magic tricks? You know, like pulling a rabbit out of a hat or something? And what's your secret to having such perfect skin? Seriously, do you use some divine skincare routine? Can I get in on that?"

Krishna, still smiling but beginning to feel a bit exhausted, tried to keep up with her rapid-fire questions.

"Anya, we don't exactly have ice cream here, but we do have delicious sweets like laddoos and pedas. As for magic tricks, my flute can do wonders, but pulling a rabbit from a hat is more of a court jester's trick, don't you think?"

Anya nodded eagerly. "Okay, okay! But, seriously, what's the weirdest thing you've ever turned into? A fish? A flower? Can you shapeshift right now?"

Krishna chuckled but sighed inwardly, feeling his energy waning. "I think it might take more than a moment to explain all the forms I've taken, Anya. And, no, I won't be shapeshifting today."

Anya barely paused for breath before moving on to her next question. "Ooh, are there any secret passages in this palace? Or treasure rooms? What about-"

Before she could finish, Krishna finally held up his hand, smiling yet clearly fatigued. "Anya, why don't we take a small break? You must be tired after all this traveling."

Anya shook her head, beaming. "Me? Tired? Never! I have a million more questions! Like, do you ever-"

Krishna, chuckling and rubbing his temples, thought to himself, *How did she end up here? And why? Surely, there must be a reason beyond just testing my patience with endless questions...*

For a brief moment, he considered the cosmic humor in it all - the great Krishna, drained not by a demon or a divine battle, but by a curious, ever-questioning young girl from another world.

"Maybe," Krishna murmured under his breath, amused yet bewildered, "the universe decided I needed a different kind of challenge today."

Anya, oblivious to his internal musings, continued to chatter on with enthusiasm. "Anyway, Krishna, where were we? Oh, right! How do you feel about fashion from my time? Because I have some great ideas-"

Krishna, smiling in resignation, simply nodded along. *This might take a while...*

---

The chapter ends with Krishna realizing that Anya's endless curiosity and questions might be more than just a test of patience;

"Hey guys! I hope you all like this chapter. By the way, let me know if you're also a K-pop fan or a BTS ARMY by leaving a purple heart in the comments! 💜"
