"Arjun ?" Yudhishthir called.

He looked up at his brothers and wife, standing up and walking towards them.

"Jyesht, with your permission I had brought her from Vidarbh. Didn't you know what she was to me ?" Arjun asked.

Yudhishthir looked at Arjun, but didn't say anything. The Ajatshatru who had answers to all questions, didn't have answers to this.

"Bhrata Bheem, you were the first person with whom I shared my feelings with. Didn't you know how much I loved her ?" Arjun asked.

Bheem sadly looked at Arjun, never has he been so broken. And it's such a circumstance that Vrikoder cannot comfort him.

"Nakul, you were the most happy when you came about Rukmika. Didn't you realise if you're so happy then how happy I must've been ?" Arjun asked.

Nakul with teared eyes looked at Arjun and then lowered his gaze, as his tears fell down on the ground.

"Sehdev, whenever you see a bad premonition you go and save the person. Didn't you think it was necessary to save her ?" Arjun asked.

Sehdev too lowered his gaze, Arjun shook his head and then looked at Draupadi.

"Panchali, my dear, I had shared all our love letters with you. You consented to our marriage because you understood our relationship the best. You knew how much I loved her, you knew how happy I was with her, you knew what she meant to me..... Then couldn't you have told me sooner ?" Arjun asked.

With tears falling down her face, Panchali looked at Arjun.

"Was no one here aware of my competence ? Did none of you trust me ? WHY DID NONE OF YOU TELL ME !? I COULD'VE SAVED HER !" Arjun burst into anger.

"Arjun, the Vishastra had no counter." Yudhishthir said.

"Jyesht.... You thought I didn't know ? If Vishastra had no counter then I wouldn't have even let him use it ! I could've killed him before he even shot that astra !" Arjun said.

The Pandavas fell silent at that, Arjun looked at his hands as tears fell down his eyes.

"She lay in my hands, fighting for each breath, holding onto life, just because you all didn't tell me.... Had I been there a few moments before then she would've been by my side now.... Destiny took her away.... Destiny took my happiness once again.... But not this time.... I refuse to bow now...." Arjun said.

"Bhrata ?" Nakul muttered but Arjun raised his hand.

"No. Now I am no one's brother nor am I anyone's son or husband ! Neither am I anyone's friend nor student !" Arjun said.

"Arya ?" Draupadi looked at him with wide eyes.

"Until and unless, I don't bring my Rukmika back, I will not show my face to you all neither to my ancestors ! Till then consider me dead ! From today itself ! I renounce all my bounds ! I renounce all my relations ! I RENOUNCE ALL OF YOU !" Arjun said.

The very next moment he stomped out of there as the rest of the Pandavas looked at him shocked.

"Jyesht ! Please stop him !" Bheem said.

"He will not stop Bheem. He is Arjun." Yudhishthir said sighing.

A/N

I almost cried writing this chapter....

The chapter has more to it than what shows, if you know Arjun you would know he wouldn't renounce his family for anything or anyone.... Then why did he leave ?

What is the bigger reason ? What is behind his anger ?

If you can guess then great, if not then 2-3 chapters mei wapas dil tutne ke liye taiyaar rehna 🌝
