The astrologers and astronomers were summoned to fix a date for the marriage of Rukmika and Arjun.

"So what is the auspicious day ?" Draupadi asked.

"Next month is that of Kartik, hence it's full moon night, the tripurari-purnima will be the best day for their marriage." They suggested.

"I think we should keep the marriage on Tripurari-purnima only. It's a very auspicious day." Rukmini said.

Listening to that Rukmika and Arjun gazed at each other and smiled looking down with red cheeks.

"But there is a problem." Kunti said.

"What Bua ?" Krishna asked.

"Who will do the Kanya-daan ?" Kunti asked and then looked at Rukmika.

"Pitashree went to Vanaprasth and Bhratashree will certainly not do it." Rukmika said worriedly.

"Who said I will not do it ?" A voice said.

All turned their heads and were shocked to see Satyaki bringing Rukmi. His posture was defenseless, his eyes were filled with tears.

"Bhrata ?" Rukmini and Rukmika muttered.

"I know that I shouldn't show my face to you after what I have done. I have misused my position as a brother, instead of ensuring you get your happiness, I tried to snatch it away from you." Rukmi said.

He went towards Rukmika and kept a hand over her head.

"Due to ignorance I missed to see Rukmini's wedding. And now I was about to miss yours due to vengeance. I couldn't see what I was losing, I have committed a grave crime, which can only be washed away if I do Kanya-daan. I know it's hard for you to trust me, but if you can then please help your brother redeem himself." Rukmi said.

He joined his hands in front of Rukmika, but she held them shaking her head in humility.

"Bhratashree what are you doing ?" Rukmika asked.

"Forgive me Rukmika." Rukmi said as tears rolled down his eyes.

"You are her brother, Vidarbh-naresh. No one can take away the right of Kanya-daan from you." Arjun said keeping a hand on Rukmi's shoulder.

"Yes Bhrata. In absence of Pitashree, it is you who has the right to do my Kanya-daan." Rukmika said.

"So you give me a chance ?" Rukmi asked.

"Yes." Rukmika nodded smiling.

"My dear." Rukmi smiled hugging Rukmika.

"I'm so proud Bhratashree that you finally understood." Rukmini said.

Everyone there smiled except Dwarikadheesh himself. He was not the one to be convinced with false words and crocodile tears.
