6- Decisions

The next few days Ethan prepared for the big meeting and the closer the day came, the more nervous he became. He was hoping the deal would go through and was curious as to what kind of bonus Antonio was planning on giving him.

Harlow the past few days was in another place, she kept thinking about Antonio and how he made her feel. Each time their lips joined, it felt like tons of electricity running throughout her body. He made her feel so alive and like she was the only woman on this earth. She loved how he looked at her and like how just thinking about him, had her creaming in her panties.

Her phone was always nearby and couldn't wait to get a text, or even a phone call from him. Each text had her smiling and, hearing his voice on the phone, had her insides melting every time. Not to mention, when he would stop by to see her, she felt like she was floating on air.

After confiding to her best friend, Gemma, about Antonio and her feelings about him, she was talked into making a doctor's appointment, to get a prescription she wasn't sure if she even needed. She was nervous about asking the doctor for it, but then felt the need to get it, for the just in case.

While her parents were setting up for the garage sale, she was able to sneak away and head over to the doctor's office. Harlow nervously sat in the cool room, waiting for him to come into the room. The longer she sat in the room thinking about it, her heart raced faster. She was just about to change her mind and stood. And as she was holding onto the door knob, getting ready to leave the room, the doctor opened the door, bumping the door into her.

"Harlow, how nice to see you. What brings you here?" the doctor asked, as he walked in and sat in his chair.

She looked at him, turning a different shade of red as she thought about telling him why she was there. She felt embarrassed to explain to him, her reasoning why, especially since he's known her since she was a little girl. "I was curious about going on the pill," she said quietly and hesitantly.

"The pill, huh?" he asked, giving her a questioning look. "Are you sexually active at the moment?"

"No... not right now."

He handed her a gown to put on, explaining that he needed to do an exam on her first and left the room, giving her time to change. After a few minutes, the doctor came back into the room, ready to give her the embarrassing exam. While examining her, he noticed something and figured he better enlighten her. "Looks like you're ovulating and if you're planning on having sex right now, I would wait."

"I'm not planning anything as of right now, I was just doing this after a friend suggested, I do this, as a precaution."

He finished with his exam and wrote her out a prescription. "You can start now if you would like, but my suggestion would be, to start this on your first day of your cycle for the best results."

"Okay, thank you," she says taking the prescription from his hand and looking at it. She looked back at the doctor and lowered her hand on her lap. "Please don't say anything to my parents."

"Don't worry, we do have what we call, a patient confidentially here," he said winking.

She let a sound of relief and stood. "Thank you so much."

She left the office and went straight over to the pharmacist. While waiting for her prescription, she looked around, hoping not to not see anyone she knew. Once she received her supply, she began heading to the exit, only to have her heart drop to the ground when she saw Antonio walking in. She quickly ducked behind a shelf and hoped he didn't see her when he walked in.

She kept peeking around the corner, watching him. After he made his purchase and walked out, she waited a few minutes before leaving the store. She quickly walked over to her car with her head hung low, hoping nobody recognizes her and as she opened her car door, she heard Antonio calling out her name. She froze and quickly whipped the bag onto her front seat and shut the door before turning around.

"Hi," she said, feeling her face turn red. She walked over to his car and bent down to talk to him.

"Are you busy later?" he asked.

"Sort of, my parents garage sale is tomorrow and I have to finish helping them set up, why?"

"I was curious if you were wanting to do something later."

"Maybe."

He hung his head out the window smiling, motioning with his finger for her to come closer to him. As she moved closer, he pulled her in for a kiss, sucking on her bottom lip as he pulled away. "I'll be waiting for your call; I better get back to Ethan. We just landed a big deal and he's probably wondering where his bonus is that I offered to give him if we got it."

"Bonus?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

"Since he lined it up, I promised him if it all went through, I'd give him a huge bonus."

"Wow!" she said surprised. "That's awfully nice of you. I'm sure he will like that."

He looked side to side to see if anyone was around and motioned with his finger for her to come closer to him. "I'll give you a bonus if you feel like going out later," he said quietly, winking at her and pulling her in for another kiss.

"I better go, maybe I'll see you later?"

"Okay," she said quietly as her heart raced, wondering what he meant by wanting to give her a bonus.

She walked back to her car and headed on home. She couldn't get her mind off what Antonio said to her and looked over at the package she just received from the doctor. Then remembered what the doctor told her and got extremely nervous.

While helping her parents finish setting up for the garage sale, her phone rang. She quickly glanced at her phone, saw that it was Antonio and ignored his call. She continued setting up and placed her things all on a separate table, making sure all the items she brought out, she really wanted to get rid of, before placing a price tag on them.

Throughout the night, Antonio continued to call Harlow. After many attempts and no such luck, he called Ethan. Asking about Harlow and asking if everything was okay with her. I haven't seen her since I got home. Ethan said. I know she's home; I saw her car in the driveway.

"Will you please go check on her, I'm worried I might have said something wrong to her."

I'll go talk to her; she's probably having one of those days.

"Thanks." Ethan heard Antonio sigh before hanging up.

I'm sure she's okay. He walked over to Harlow's bedroom door and knocked.

"Go away, Ethan," Harlow called out.

With the tone of her voice, he knew something was wrong and opened the door, peeking his head through the crack of the door. He saw her lying on the bed sideways, facing away from him and wondered what Antonio did for her to be acting the way she was. "Care to talk?"

"No, I do not, now please go away."

He ignored her wishes and walked in anyway and sat down on the bed next to her. She felt the bed dip and scooted further away from him. "Ethan, please. I just want to be alone right now."

"What did he do?" he asked, taking a deep breath.

"What did who do?" she asked, snippy.

"My guess would be Antonio, who else would have you upset like this?"

She sighed, burrowing her face deeper into the pillow. "He didn't do anything."

Ethan rubbed the back of his head, trying to figure her out. "Something is obviously wrong, is it something you want to talk to me about?"

She rolled onto her back, covering her eyes with her arm. "I just have a lot on my mind, nothing that I would like to discuss with my brother."

"I might be able to help if you opened and talked to me."

She laid there thinking, wondering if she really wanted to talk to him about something that was way too personal. She then remembered Antonio mentioning he was giving Ethan a bonus and slid her arm backwards to look at him.

"I hear a congratulations are in order?" she asked, half smiling.

"You heard?"

She shook her head. "Yes, I ran into Antonio this afternoon, says you guys struck a huge deal and was on his way to give you a bonus. What did he give you?"

Ethan smiled "I don't know if I should tell you?"

She quickly sat up, furrowing her eyebrows at him. "How come?"

"Well... you won't tell me what's bothering you, so why should I tell you what he gave me?"

"Ethan, please... what I have on my mind is extremely personal."

He chuckled. "Fine, he wrote me a check for twenty-five grand."

Harlow's eyes widened, not believing what she just heard, giving him a hard shove. "He what?"

"You heard me," he grinned. "So... tell me, what's your secret? Maybe I can help," he asked again, hoping she'll finally tell him what's wrong and what could be bothering her.

"It's nothing and if you speak to Antonio, just let him know I'm okay, that I'm having a bad day is all and I'll talk to him tomorrow, okay? I just wanted to be alone."

"He's pretty worried and feels he did, or said something wrong to you.... I think maybe you should call and tell him yourself."

Harlow laid down on her back and stared at the ceiling. Folding her hands together and twirling her thumbs as she thought.

Ethan curiously looked at her, feeling worried about her. "Are you sure he didn't do anything?"

"Yes, I'm sure. He didn't do anything, this is all me," she said, rolling her head to the side and looking at Ethan while taking in a deep breath and slowly exhaling. "It's just that I have these strong feelings for Antonio and I don't know how to deal with them. He makes me feel things I've never felt before and I'm not used to it. I just scares me a little."

"How would that scare you?"

She shrugged her shoulders and looked back up to the ceiling. "Because, I've never felt this way about anyone and I'm afraid to give him my heart. Afraid to lose him if I do."

He had a feeling where this was going and started putting two and two together, without letting her know he knew. He pinched the bridge of his nose, thinking about what to say. "If you're worried about Antonio hurting you, I can honestly say you won't have to worry about that. That man has a thing for you and I can see he's absolutely crazy about you."

"Thanks Ethan," she says, sitting up. She then scooted over to him, giving him a hug. "Please call him for me, I just don't feel like talking to him right now... please?" she begged.

"Fine, I'll call him," he sighed, giving in to her.

"Thanks, and you better buy me something nice with that bonus you got. After everything I've done for you, you owe me," she giggled.

The next day, Harlow ran the garage sale for her parents while they left to go take care of some things at the church. Ethan was able to leave work early and help Harlow out. He came home, saw her dealing with some people and smirked while setting a couple items down onto her table and quickly walked away, hoping she didn't see him.

Harlow sat down after the people she was dealing with left and stared at her phone, nervously tapping her fingers on the table. She decided to send Antonio a text. Sorry about yesterday, I was having a rough day and there was a lot on my mind. Don't think that you did anything wrong, because you didn't... If you're not doing anything later, I would love to see you.

For about a half hour nobody came around and she was getting thirsty. She saw Ethan's car parked across the street and knew he was home. To be funny she sent him a message, asking him to bring her out something to drink.

Ethan opened the door and chuckled as he walked out, handing her a drink. "The things I do for you."

"Yea whatever, why don't you sit with me and keep me company."

Ethan sat down, looking at the table and had to laugh knowing she hadn't seen what he did. "Have you talked to Antonio yet?"

"No, I sent him a message a while ago and he never responded. Whatever I said to you last night, forget I even said anything, I screwed up."

Ethan nudged her, chuckling. "Don't be stupid. He's in court today." He looked at his watch and smiled. "I'm sure you'll be hearing from him soon; he should be out of court now."

Twenty minutes went by and she was feeling bummed she hadn't heard from Antonio and leaned back in her chair. Covering her face with her hands. "I'm so stupid," she said sadly, stomping her feet.

"Why?" Ethan questioned, looking at her with a crazy look and shook his head.

"I screwed things up between us, I know it."

"What did you screw up?"

Harlow quickly removed her hands away from her face and lowered her head when she heard a familiar voice. "Antonio." she said, standing up and hugging him.

She cupped the sides of his face and pulled him down to her level, kissing him. "I take it somebody missed me," he says, pulling back and looking in her eyes.

"Just extremely happy to see you."

Antonio sat down, pulling her onto his lap and wrapping his arms around her waist. "How's the sale going?"

"It was busier this morning, but it's slowed down the last couple hours."

While they were talking a younger group of people walked up and began walking around, looking at the items for sale. Ethan's eyes glued to them as they started walking over to Harlow's table. As they looked at what Harlow had on her table, they began laughing and turned around, looking at the trio sitting there talking to each other.

Ethan held back his laugh, knowing what they were laughing about. "I wonder what they're laughing at?" Harlow whispered.

Ethan shrugged his shoulders and then laughed when one of the guys held up a vibrator, and a dildo, shaking the dildo. "How much for these? There's no price tag on them," he asked loudly.

Harlow's mouth dropped and stood up quickly, hurrying over to the group. "I'm so, so sorry, I have no idea where those even came from. Those aren't mine!" she squealed, taking them from his hands. She turned around, saw Ethan laughing and lowered her hands to her sides. "But I have a pretty good idea who put them there," she hissed.

She walked over to Ethan wiggling the dildo in his face. "Does this look familiar to you?"

"Well actually they do, it's a little bigger than mine and the coloring is quite different."

Antonio couldn't help but laugh and laughed so hard, he had tears coming out of his eyes. While she was holding them, she accidentally hit the button on the vibrator and it began vibrating, causing her to drop it onto the ground. Only making Ethan and Antonio laugh harder.

Antonio felt bad and stood, taking the dildo out of her hand and throwing it over to Ethan. He wrapped his arms around her and smiled, trying to hold his laugh back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to laugh, but you have to admit that was pretty funny."

"I should kick your ass, when the hell did you put those there?" she asked, turning her head towards Ethan and giving him an evil look.

Ethan laughed, holding his gut. "When I got home, you were talking to some people when I snuck them on the table. Damn, you should have seen your face though... priceless," he chuckled. "It reminded me of that bank teller with the painted eyebrows, you looked just as surprised as she did."

"Question is, why do you have them?" she asked, smirking at him.

"Yea Ethan, why do you have these? Is there something we should know about?"
