Will he live?

When Kolivan returned from his and Antok's mission (Y/n) didn't see Antok anywhere, she knew that something was wrong because when she tried asking Kolivan where he was she didn't get

a response. She was about to go check the small shuttle they took until she saw Keith and some of the others carrying a large body to the infirmary. Her eyes widened when she realize that it was Antok; he got hurt during the mission and since he had to be carried he'd been badly injured. She followed them and hoped that he was going to be okay, she wasn't expecting him to actually get hurt, it was a surprise that Kolivan didn't leave him behind. On the way to the infirmary (Y/n) got to meet Thace for the first time; he seemed nice, although he'd been injured too and would need to go in a healing pod for a couple of days. As they entered the infirmary (Y/n) saw Antok laying on one of the examination tables as Ulaz removed his armor and bodysuit, even his mask came off.

She felt her heart stop for a few moments when she saw the large wound on his chest, she wasn't even paying attention to what his face looked like. Ulaz was quick to clean the wound before he put stitches in, apparently a druid tried to kill him but somehow managed to miss zapping his heart with their magic. Regris was helping out by cleaning some of the blood off of the floor while Yemi aided Thace who

wasn't in as bad of condition as Antok, but he still needed immediate medical attention. (Y/n) found a chair to sit down in as she watched Ulaz hook Antok up to a few machines, hoping that he would survive.

"We're losing him!" Keith shouted as the odd looking heart monitor started flatlining, signaling that the large fluffy man might not make it.

(Y/n) had to leave the infirmary after Keith shouted since it was too much for her to handle, the last thing she wanted was to start crying in front of everyone. She felt guilty for angering Antok

before his mission and she originally intended on apologizing to him when he returned, nfortunately, it didn't seem that she would get that opportunity. Once (Y/n) made it to her habsuite and went to her bedroom she broke down crying; it felt as though her heart weighed her down each time an image of Antok laying injured in the infirmary crossed her mind, it scared her to think that he might die. She wished that she hadn't gotten into an argument with him before he left, if they'd parted on better terms, she felt that he would have returned safely. It didn't take very long before she fell asleep on her bed, exhausted from all the crying she'd done after seeing her dying friend for what she assumed would be the last time.

__________

The very next morning (Y/n) went straight to the infirmary right after she woke up, ate breakfast and got herself ready for the day with the intention of finding out if Antok survived through the night or not. Despite knowing that Antok might have died she knew there was a slight chance that he didn't and she wanted to find out whether he was alive or not. Some of the other

operatives she passed watched her briskly walk straight to the infirmary, some of them getting out of her way since they knew she was in a rush. As soon as (Y/n) walked into the infirmary

she saw Ulaz writing something down while standing in front of a counter, most likely something important. When she went to the side room her heart nearly shattered because she didn't see

Antok laying on any of the beds, then she looked at the healing pods and saw Antok in one pod and Thace in the other.

"Is he going to be okay?" (Y/n) asked Ulaz after a few moments when she heard him enter the recovery room.

"Yes, I managed to get him stabilized." Ulaz replied as he stood next to her; he just barely managed to save Antok's life the previous day, as long as he stayed in the healing pod until his body healed he would be alright.

"Will he live?" (Y/n) questioned, hoping that the answer would be a yes.

"He will, but it will be a while before he wakes up after I take him out of the pod. The druid who attempted to kill him grazed his heart." Ulaz answered before he went to go check on how Thace was doing.

(Y/n) hesitantly walked over to the healing pod Antok was in so she could get a better look at him; he had a breathing mask on that prevented her from seeing his whole face, but from what she could tell he had lavender fur with bits of white similar to Ulaz, although his ears were higher up and much broader, and he didn't have any markings on top of his head like the good doctor, only a lighter colored crest. She could hardly believe that she got to partially see Antok's face for the first time, she just wished that it could have been under better circumstances. (Y/n)

thought Antok was really handsome, she couldn't understand why he always kept his face hidden behind his mask. When Ulaz took him out of the healing pod she would stay by his side until he woke up, then she would apologize for offending him. Her curiosity was piqued when she saw Ulaz walk over to one of the cupboards only to take out what appeared to be a can of some kind.

"What are you doing?" (Y/n) inquired out loud, curious as to what he was going to do.

"Thace and Antok still need their nourishment, this is a special pureed food that I insert through a port that travels through a feeding tube." Ulaz explained; he walked over to the young woman so he could show the can of pureed Olg'zed fruit to her.

(Y/n) wasn't aware that Antok and Thace were hooked up to feeding tubes, although it made sense since they still needed food and water in order to not starve to death. She was fascinated

by how the healing pods worked, the technology was so much more advanced than it was on Earth, although healing pods hadn't been invented on her homeworld yet. Ulaz offered to let

(Y/n) feed Antok, he wasn't surprised that she happily accepted seeing as the two of them were somewhat close. Antok would need help with his recovery after Ulaz discharged him from the imfirmary and he requested that (Y/n) help with that recovery, (Y/n) was more than happy to help her large friend recover after he was well enough to return to his normal life. The second in command would need a longer recovery time than Thace and thankfully (Y/n) had enough free

time, she would simply add it to her usual daily duties.
