"Come on, say papa." Antok told Alnov.

"No, say mama." You said, cooing to her.

Alnov looked at you and Antok in confusion. Lately she had been trying to talk and right now you and Antok were trying to get her to say her first word. You both were cuddling in the living room with Asher and Alnov. Asher was currently taking a nap, so he wouldn't be interested in what was currently going on. Alnov looked at you, then she looked at Antok.

"Uppy!" Alnov said as she held her arms up and made grabby hands.

"Uh… That was unexpected." Was all you said.

"Yes, it was." Antok said as he carefully picked Alnov up.

"Alright Asher, say mama." Antok said as he held Asher.

Asher looked up at his father with curiosity. Since he had been trying to talk Antok decided to try and teach him before you came back inside after hanging the laundry up outside. 

"Say mama." Antok said again.

Asher only looked up at him curiously. When you came back inside both Antok and Asher looked at you. Since Alnov was playing with a toy she was preoccupied.

"M-m-ma-mama!" Asher said happily as he looked at you.

"Antok, Asher just said his first word." You said in shock.

"I've been teaching him." Antok told you.

"You've taught him well." You said as you hugged him.
