Ever since you were given a datapad you had been keeping track of what time of year it was where you lived back on Earth. According to your calendar it was Christmas Eve. You were sad that you wouldn't be able to celebrate Christmas or be with your family. You sighed as you got up and went to the mess hall. Everyone at the base had noticed how sad you had been lately and they tried asking you what was wrong. 

But each time they asked you would just tell them that it didn't matter. During one of Keith's visits to the base a few days earlier he noticed how sad you were, and he knew why. So he told Kolivian and the others all about Christmas and why you were sad. Kolivian thought about what Keith had told them and he decided that they would surprise you. Kolivian, Thace and Regris would try baking Christmas cookies after they somehow found a recipe. 

Ulaz and Antok were in charge of finding something to use as a Christmas tree. Antok suggested that they visit the Earth store space mall. While they were there Antok found a tabletop tree that came with ornaments. When they got back they smelled the slightly burned cookies. They put the cookies somewhere safe and went to your room.

Since you were asleep Antok set the tree up on your nightstand and put a note next to it. He smiled behind his mask when he saw how peaceful you looked while sleeping. He left your room as quietly as he could.

You yawned and stretched as you woke up the next morning. Your vision cleared up as you sat up and rubbed your eyes. When you saw the small Christmas tree on your nightstand you felt like crying in happiness. You saw the note and smiled as you read it. You quickly got out of bed and did your morning routine before you went to go eat breakfast. 

As you walked into the mess hall you saw Antok and went to go sit next to him. You smiled when you saw a plate of cookies at your place. Then you realized that everyone had a plate of cookies. They looked to be a little burned, but you didn't care.

"Thank you, Antok, for the tree." You said softly.

"You're welcome. And Merry Christmas." Antok said.

You were happy that you were able to celebrate Christmas. Later that day you would tell everyone at the base about your favorite Christmas memories.
