As the moon watches the stars tonight
a picture of him I see
dancing around the scintillating cloud
of new-found love
from a sweet serendipity
and this time,
it's not I
whom he chooses to dance with

And as the moon turns into his shadow
tears of pure regret and sorrow
flow through my eyes
And the stars, they seem to cluster
together like a couple afraid
to be separated
from one another
and that's how they seem
to feel most probably
right now,
I wish I could wake up
feeling less cracked
and never again think
about how the moon fell in love
so deeply;
dancing with somebody
else so lithely,
so lovingly,
so gracefully
and how the stars in the glowing sky
bring the mirth in his eye.
