After the NOL's got escorted out of class Takeem was in there with blood running down his face getting held back like he did something. Marcus and Anthony was sporting matching black eyes but Anthony had it worst cause both Iyan and Jayceon was stomping on him.

After last bell rung I went to the parking lot to find Jayceon, his car was still there so I was relieved, I gave my car keys to Kailani and told her to wait in the car for me. Jayceon came out after five minutes with Mason, they didn't notice me standing there because they looked to be having a serious conversation.

"Are you okay?" I asked making him and Mason look my way.

"I'll talk to you later five." He dabbed Jayceon up then hugged me.

"I'm aight. This belongs to you." He handed me my phone and I was never happier.

"Jayceon I-"

"Don't."

"Jayceon don't do that."

"That's what you did to me right? Been doing that since Saturday, I'm not no fucking track star so why you got me chasing you?"

"I've never asked you to chase me Jayceon, why are you even chasing me? You have enough girls who would happily be in my place."

"I always miss the good stuff! Y'all pussy ass niggas couldn't wait to fight at lunch?" Jayden asked walking to us with Allison obviously not aware of the deep conversation we were having.

"Lysa you okay?" Allison asked. I looked at her but Jayceon kept his eyes on me.

"Yeah, um I'm getting in the car. I'll wait for you." I looked at Jayceon one last time and quickly walked to my car. I plugged my phone in listening to Better in Time by Leona Lewis.

After Allison got in the car I rushed to get in the house, I needed to talk to Tac. Thankfully, he was in the house.

"Hey daddy." Alli said as soon as we walked into his office and then left out.

"Can I talk to you Tac?" I asked sitting in one of his chairs.

"Yeah what's up?"

"I can talk to you about anything right?"

"I swear to God if you are pregnant Lysa."

"Why do you always assume the worst? I don't even wanna talk no more." I got up walking towards the door.

"Come back, I'm sorry. Go head." He said laughing.

"Okay so you know the boy JC? I think I like him."

"You think?"

"I know."

"What's the problem?"

"He says he's not playing me but I don't know Tac. I'm not stupid and I don't want to be heartbroken again, I don't have enough trust for him."

"Again? When was your first heartbreak Lysa? Write his name down." He handed me a piece of paper with a pen.

"That's not the point of the conversation daddy." I whined.

"Okay Lysa, I can't tell you what to do but answer this, have he ever given you any reason not to trust him?" I took a second to think about it.

"No he's never even lied to me but I hear the rumors going round."

"Wasn't it just rumors bout you going round that wasn't true?"

"Yeah."

"So why are you believing them if he's showing you he's not that nigga?"

"I don't know Tac." I groaned out loud banging my head against his desk.

"How about you bring him over here and I'll tell you if he tryna play you or not." I looked at him weirdly.

"I don't know if I trust you enough."

"I'll be good I promise."

"Fine, Friday. I'll bring him over."

"Aight just remind me Thursday babygirl. Love you"

Thursday came around and Iyan, Jayceon and Mason was coming back to school from their suspension. I haven't spoken to Jayceon since our argument on Monday, I was kind of nervous to see him.

"Noah, Alyssa why are you late to my class?" Ms.Noel asked as I walked into class five minutes late with my friend Noah.

"It was totally Noah fault." I said laughing, Noah looked at me smiling showing off his dimple.

"My fault huh?" He whispered so only I could hear as I laughed. "I take full responsibility for this one Ms.Noel." He threw his hands up in surrender.

"Don't let it happen again." Ms.Noel said smiling and shaking her head. I walked to my seat with Noah following behind me, he placed my books on my desk.

"If I would have got detention, I would've fucked you up" Nolan whispered in my ear, I laughed and smirked as I watched him go to his seat.

"Chill out." Kailani said.

"What are you talking bout?"

"Jayceon just came from suspension, you bout to make him get some more days and bout to get Noah a black eye."

"How would I do that?"

"Looks how he's looking at you." I turned around to Jayceon giving me death glares. If looks could kill I would of been six feet under, he stopped the eye contact and looked forward.

"Today each three groups would change girls, once I call your groups of three choose how you'll change." Ms.Noel explained. She started calling off different names.

"Iyan, Jayceon and Mason." I had Mason, Kailani had Jayceon and Olivia had Iyan. I walked to Mason desk passing Jayceon he didn't even look my way.

"Lets go in the courtyard." Mason suggested as we ran out the class racing to the courtyard.

"I won!! Ah kiss that!" I yelled jumping up and down doing my victory dance.

"Your whip looks like you on crack." Mason said laughing.

"Hater!" I said, we started laughing then fell into a silence.

"You know he tryna fuck with you." Mason said breaking the silence.

"That's exactly what's he trying to do, fuck me." I concluded as he did a dry chuckle.

"Why you tryna play my manz?"

"I'm the one trying to play somebody?" I asked dumbfounded.

"You coming in with that lame playing with him while he all up on you tryna get him jealous."

"That's what he thought? Noah has a whole ass girlfriend. Y'all should of just asked instead of assuming."

"Like you did right Lysa? JC my brother we talk, he's manning up and trying. Why you making it hard on him?"

"No offense but look how you did Olivia, she spent months crying over you then that turned into resentment. I'm trying to protect myself from heartache."

"Point taken but I wasn't shit, I cared about Olivia to the point I made her my girl but my mother just died and I used my sadness as an excuse to fuck these bitches, I wasn't ready. I'm still not but I love that girl and one day I'll be ready for her. JC ready for you now so what's stopping you?"

"Trust, trust gets you killed."

"You already his girl, you using his slang." We both laughed. "Just give him a chance, put your guard down and let him show you he different. It's going to be hard but what's a relationship without some problems?"

"When did you get so serious?" I asked amused at the good advice he was giving.

"When I got slapped by a girl because I hurt her cousin." He said giving a sympathetic smile. I hugged him and when we released the bell rung. We walked to lunch then went our separate ways. Once Olivia and Kailani sat down we were talking and joking around.

"I'm about to be petty and childish." I announced.

"How?" Olivia asked.

"And to who?" Kailani asked also.

"Since Alli sitting with them Ima go over there and whisper some things in her ear making her say and do some things that'll have Jayceon mad at me then ima ask him out Friday."

"If you live to Friday." Kailani laughed.

"I ain't scared of his punk ass." I said getting up. I walked over towards their table the first one that noticed me was Mason. He leaned back in his chair and smirked as I bent down to Allison ear.

"I'm being petty and I need you to help me, you gon help?"

"Yeah."

"Good now act like I said something and put on your widest smile than say 'Aw he did that'?"

"Aw he-" I cut her off.

"If i'm whispering to you, why would would you not whisper back?" I said loud enough for all them to hear.

"My bad, continue."

"Ight now put your smile back on and cover your mouth with your hand." She did exactly what I asked. "They looking at us? Jayceon seem mad?" I whispered.

"Yeah they all looking, Mason got a smirk on his face, Iyan and Jayden look confused and Jayceon look likes he going to kill you, he's scaring me son."

"Good, the exact reaction I'm looking for. Now we're going to look back at the table the football players sit at then ask out loud 'him'." We looked around by the football jocks then Ali squealed him just like I asked her to.

"Aight, whisper anything in my ear and then I'll nod looking around the table, say hey to them and then Ima walk off and when they ask you what's going on say something petty that's going to get him mad but don't over do it Alli." She nodded and started doing the alphabet in my ear making my goofy ass laugh instead of nodding. I looked around the table and they were sill looking at us. Once Alli got to Z I stood up still laughing.

"Hey y'all." I hugged all them except JC, I just waved at him. He was still giving me death stares.

"Did it work?" Olivia asked as soon as I got to the table.

"You tell me." They both looked towards their table then smirked.

"How do you want your funeral cause he gon kill you bitch." Kailani asked which caused all of us to laugh.
