Anti - This Can't Be Just Another Dream

Septic, having taken full control of Anti's body now, didn't sleep the whole night. He merely looked through Anti's things and listened to Anti's begging and threats. Septic was having the time of his life telling Anti all the things he wanted to do to his family mainly with the knife Jameson gave him as his weapon.

It had been two years since the last time he was freed from Anti's mind and he wasn't going to squander his chance at making all of them suffer. Why? No reason, really, except to cause misery and anguish.

Septic had been a part of Anti since the beginning, you see. Ever since Anti was created, so was Septic. He had always been there. Like he was a part of the ego. Hell, he was almost an ego himself but no one knew that. Only Anti knew he truly existed. Schneep and the rest of his brothers just thought he was bipolar and really so had Anti. But now Anti was afraid he'd never be able to even warn the others.

But he had to think of some way. There had to be a way.

He wasn't about to let this psychotic demon get away with hurting his family again.

"Will you pipe down in there? I'm trying to think about which order to kill your brothers in."

"Fuck off!" Anti yelled through his head, "I'm not going to calm down! You're not going to hurt them! They've done nothing to you!"

"I don't care."

"You're a fucking monster!"

"Thank you"

Anti groaned in frustration. There was no talking to it. No reasoning.

Anti leaned on the wall of the 'room' he was in and sighed. It reminded him of what the inside of an interrogation room looked like. The space was dimly lit, nearly pitch black if it wasn't for Anti's green glitching glow, and there was a chair to sit in and a window that let him see what Septic could see. He really wished he didn't have the window at all, actually. It just made it more painful for him but then again, that's what the monster wanted.

"Hm" Septic hummed, "It's nearly nine in the morning now. Probably could go greet the green slugs. Would you like that, puppet? Would you like to see your brothers alive and happy for just a little while longer before I kill them dead?" he spoke so sweetly and Anti practically snarled at the suggestion.

Septic didn't wait for his answer and got up, sticking the knife in its sheath and into his pocket for safekeeping.

As he walked out and downstairs, he giggled slightly but refrained himself as he neared the kitchen.

Schneep was there with a mug of coffee looking tired but less so than yesterday. Anti felt a twinge in his heart from when the doctor had snapped at him yesterday. Schneep saw him and sighed.

"Anti. My friend, I'm sorry for what transpired last night."

Septic cocked his head a bit but said nothing as the doctor continued.

"I was so frustrated with my vork, I didn't realize ze words coming out of my mouth. Can you forgive me?"

Anti wanted to hug him so bad but Septic just stood there tauntingly, "It's alright, Doc. No harm done"

Schneep furrowed his brow a bit but nodded, "Vhy did you come to my office last night? Did you need something? Please tell me"

The demon entity hummed, "It's nothing, really. Jackie got upset with me for trying to help him with his wounds yesterday and he hurt me. Nothing TOO bad"

Schneep looked apalled, "He vhat!? He hurt you!? Where? Let me see!"

Anti had been confused before when Septic had healed his arm but not the wound on his head. But now he understood. This was part of his plan, the cunning asshole.

Septic turned to let him see the gash on the back of his head and Schneep gasped, "Is it sore? I'll get you pain medication. Or better yet, I'll get Marvin! He'll have a potion to heal it up in a snap!"

"No!" Septic shouted, confusing both Anti and Schneep, "It's fine" he stated more calmly, "It'll heal fine on its own. We don't need Marvin involved in this. It's healing over fine on its own anyways. No need to cause a fuss"

The doctor still seemed worried but let it go, "If you say so. Ve will still have a word to Jackie about this though. This behavior vas unacceptable."

Septic nodded, "Of course, of course"

Anti, meanwhile, was slowly putting pieces together of what Septic wanted. He had always hated Jackie the most because he was the strongest of the egos physically and could take him down. Marvin, however, Septic feared. Marvin could sense him and if he were to sense anything from the dried blood he left, he'd be found out too soon and it'd ruin his fun too quickly.

Septic sat at the counter and waited. Schneep threw him a poptart and the demon flinched a little. The doctor chuckled, "You sure you're alright, my friend? You're looking at those poptarts like they're a bomb. It's your favorite flavor, isn't it? Cookies and Cream?"

Septic looked confused as he had no need to eat but nodded for the sake of staying in character, "Yes . . .  So sorry. I guess I'm still a bit tired."

Schneep let it go and was about to say something more when Chase walked in. The father looked like hell warmed over and Anti felt himself tear up in remembrance of what Chase had called him last night. Albeit he had been drunk but still, it hurt all the same.

Chase stopped immediately once he saw 'Anti' and the two stared at each other in silence like deer in headlights before Chase suddenly ran at him in a tight hug, "Anti! Holy fuck, man. I'm so sorry about last night! I didn't mean anything I fucking said. I love you, Anti! I was so drunk and stupid. Please forgive me" he cried in 'Anti's' chest but the demon didn't do anything. He didn't even return the hug or pat his back.

Anti cried  wanting everything in the world to just hug Chase and tell him it was okay but Septic just smirked and pushed him away, "Get off of me. Go preach to someone else who gives a fuck. I don't care anymore"

Chase gaped at him, "A-anti.. . . Anti please. I'm so sorry." he whimpered, "I didn't mean any of it. Please. I was just so upset about Stacey and not being able to see the kids, I-"

Septic resisted the urge to giggle and laugh in his face, "I tried to help you and you pushed me to the ground, kicked me and called me a freak. There's no apology big enough that can fix that pain, Brody."

With that, he walked out of the kitchen with the poptarts in hand, relishing Anti's pain. He bit into a poptart, "Hm. These are actually pretty good."

"You're a fucking- Goddammit!" Anti slammed his fists on the window, "I hate you!"

Septic licked his lips, "There, there. This is only the beginning, Anti. Would you rather see them sad or dead?"

Anti went silent and bowed his head in defeat.

A few more hours went by and Septic did his best to avoid Marvin and irritate Anti.

"Hm" Septic though outloud, "Who can I emotionally wreck next? We'll save Marvin for later. Got Chase already. That was fun. I'll toy with Schneep later. Sean will be here tomorrow. I have plans for Jameson tonight. He'd make a fine mindless drone. Ah how about Jackie?! He's got to feel just horrible about hurting you last night, hm?"

"Stay away from him! He didn't mean it!"

"Oh didn't he, though? You and I both know he's never trusted you. Just because you two had a heart to heart doesn't mean shit."

"Bastard. You're just a sick beast. You think you're so great? Hurting people making them suffer?! You're nothing! You think yourself a great puppeteer but you're unaware of the strings you placed on yourself!"

Suddenly Septic froze and suddenly a miniature version of him appeared in front of Anti in the room. Anti flinched back seeing the rage in his eyes.

"The fuck did you just say to me, g̶l̶i̴t̶c̶h̷ ̷b̵i̶t̷c̶h̶!?"

Anti felt some courage bubble up inside of him. He had gotten under his skin, "You heard me. You've always wanted pain and suffering but if you have been a part of me all my life that I've existed then doesn't that make you an ego, too? You're just as much of a puppet as I am then"

Septic suddenly gripped Anti's throat and slammed him against the hard wall, "You little bitch! How dare you!? I'm your fucking master now and there's no one who can stop me! I am eternal! You will listen to me!"

He started crushing Anti's windpipe, "I am the stronger here and soon everyone will see that! I'll kill all of them saving your precious Sean for last and THIS TIME I'LL TEAR HIS HEAD CLEAN OFF!!!"

Septic threw Anti to the floor, "Ḭ̷͎̫̯͖̭̞̜̪̎̈́̆̾̅̓͐̋̏'̷̢̱̜̀̑̈̓͗͝͝M̶̢̼͇͊̌̑̕  ̶͉̗̲̯̬͋̃̄̈́͋̿̈́͋͗Į̵͓͉͎͔̥̖͉̣̐̄N̸̬̳̫̪̗͚̼̅͐͆ ̸̝̗͙͔̩̞͠ C̷̙̏̈́͘O̶̬̮̱̮̗͛ͅṊ̴͖̥̏Ṭ̵̩̹̯̺͛̒R̴̪͈̻̟͇̔̄Ǒ̸̜̭̦̤̩̤̙̫̓Ļ̴̖͕̤̼͕̝̀͜͝!̴̢̧̠͕͈̰̘̫͕̈́̒"

He was about to stomp on his chest but Anti glitched away and on his feet before punching him in the face, knocking him back a bit, "No you're not! You're nothing but a sick virus trying its best to be relevant! BUT YOU NEVER WILL BE!"

Septic suddenly glitched to him and stabbed him in the stomach. Anti felt the wind being knocked out of him and although he wouldn't be in real physical danger, it would hurt the fight in him. Septic whispered in his ear, "Let's go pay Jackie a visit, shall we? I need to let off some steam now." He giggled in his ear before disappearing and started walking again to Jackie's room.

Anti held his bleeding wound and watched in uncertainty at what was about to happen, "No"

Septic knocked on the door and a few moments later Jackie answered. Immediately, Jackie could see something was wrong, "Anti? Are you okay, man?"

Septic grinned and pushed Jackie in the room, following him in and closing the door shut, locking it behind him.

Jackie looked confused, "Anti? Look if this is about yesterday, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you! I was just so"

"Frustrated?" he filled in for him, "Angry? So am I, friend. And I think you owe me now. I still have the wound you gave me. Schneep said it'd take a while to heal."

"I'm sorry, Anti. Look just tell me what you want and I'll do whatever it takes. You're my brother and- oof!"

Septic suddenly punched him in the gut, and shoved him back to the wall, "I WANT payback. You willing to give me that, Jackieboy?"

Jackie seemed confused and worried but didn't argue, "Anti. . . . I'm sorry. If it's a fight you want, I won't fight back. You've never fought me back so . . .if this is what you want then . . . ."

Anti cried out, afraid of what Jackie was agreeing to, "Jackie no! Fight him! Fight him back!"

"Fine"

Septic grinned and punched him across the face, "That's gonna leave a bruise" he gripped Jackie's hair and shoved him to the ground before kicking him a few times, earning him a few yelps and grunts.

Septic laughed at Jackie's poor attempts to get back up, "Little hero hurt? Oh poor thing." he took out the knife and Jackie felt his blood run cold.

"Anti. . .I agree to a beating but not this. Put the knife away, man"

Septic merely giggled, glitching in his excitement, "Anti isn't here anymore, J̸a̸c̶k̵i̵e̶b̸o̵y̷.̵"

He shoved the knife into his shoulder and knocked him out hard, giving him a gash of his own on the back of his head.

"Jackie!!" Anti screamed, "You fucking monster! You said you wouldn't kill them yet!"

Septic ripped the knife out and licked the blood, "I didn't. He's just knocked out is all. Probably won't even remember how he got hurt." he laughed, "Let's take him to the doctor. We can say we found him like this. The fool would believe that, wouldn't he?"

With no effort, he picked up Jackie and swung him over his shoulder, walking to Schneep's office.

Anti, meanwhile, was starting to black out. The wound Septic gave him had bled him out making him exhausted. Not being able to take it anymore, he laid on the floor and passed out.

When he opened his eyes, he was in pitch black. It was just darkness everywhere and for a moment, Anti was terrified that Septic was giving him another nightmare but something was different about this area. He didn't feel Septic's presence anywhere. There was just nothing. Like an empty void.

Not seeing any choice, Anti started walking in the black void until he found a mirror. It was cracked and a little bloody and Anti realized it was his mirror from in his bathroom and he could see the other side inside the bathroom. He saw the blood in the sink that Septic hadn't yet cleaned up and his pills on the counter, the bottle still full.

'Can't believe he's been tricking me all this time.' Anti thought, 'Every night he's just been making me think I've been taking them. That's how he's gained more power. All because that one night I forgot to take the ONE damn pill.'

Anti shook himself from the thought, 'It doesn't matter anymore. What matters is stopping him whatever it takes.'

He left the mirror to walk around some more.

"Where am I?" he ventured further until he found he was still in the house. The layout was the same, it was just that the only objects around were mirrors floating where they usually would be.

He followed the layout until he was in a room with around seven mirrors big and small.

'This is Marvin's room!' Anti thought excitedly.

'If this isn't a dream maybe I could warn him somehow!'

He found one of Marvin's larger mirrors that was in his room and could see the magician practicing a spell on the other side. He tried banging on the mirror but it made no noise or vibration. He wasn't even sure if he could see him.

"Marvin! Please! Look over here! Marvin!" still nothing, "Please." Anti cried out in frustration but he wasn't about to give up. He kept banging on the mirror trying to do anything and everything to get his attention. The mirror was strong on this side of the void but that wasn't going to stop Anti.

Glitching insanely, he traveled to the other mirrors in Marvin's room and tried the same thing but nothing was working. Marvin was too enraptured in his work.

Finally starting to lose it, Anti slammed his fists over and over into Marvin's biggest mirror that hung on his door until suddenly a green blast of energy like lightening erupted from him and shattered the mirror, sending him flying back.

Marvin's mirror suddenly shattered and fell into pieces on the ground, alerting him.

'What the hell?' putting down his wand and taking off his mask, he walked over to the mess to inspect it.

Anti got up and ran over to the mess in tears, "Fuck! Dammit! Marvin, please! I need y-"

He had one of the pieces in his hand and could see Marvin standing over them looking confused. Marvin slowly bent down to pick up one of the pieces of glass which was the same one Anti was already holding. As he brought it up to his face, he turned it around curiously before a suddenly green shock zapped from it, making him drop it.

"Fuck! What the hell?" Marvin's face contorted in confusion but just briefly he thought for a split second he saw Anti in it. He picked it up again but there was nothing there.

"Marvin" Anti pleaded him, "Marvin please. See something from it. You know it's weird. It's a sign! Please!" but Marvin was already walking away to get his wand to pick up the mess.

Suddenly Anti had an idea but he had to be quick.

"I don't know what I did before but I have to try and do it again!" he concentrated hard, "Come on! Anti, come on! For once in your life, control your glitching! Do it!"

A little spark formed around Anti as he stood in the middle of where the rest of the mirrors were, "Come on! You got this!"

Anti thought of Septic and the nightmares he had given him over the last few weeks, "You can't let him win! He won't win! Not this time!" his glitching was so out of control, it was like there was a motion blur effect on him and green lightning crackled from him uncontrollably and he screamed out in his rage and desperation.

"Rrrrraagaaaaaahhhhh!!!"

The lightning shot off into all directions, taking out and shattering all of the mirrors in the room. Marvin froze when all of the mirrors shattered and glass shot out from the frames. He used to protection spell to keep the shards from cutting him and watched in awe as green sparks flew around his room among the shards before disappearing as the glass fell.

Everything was silent as Marvin stood frozen at what just happened. It was unexplainable but for a brief moment, he saw him. Anti.

"What in the world?" Marvin was just as confused as ever, "What did I just see? What's happening?"

He didn't know but he'd find out.

Meanwhile with Anti, he laid in the darkness around the shattered glass, his energy expended. However, he stood up, the cracking of the glass under his feet the only noise around. Even though he was in pain, he accomplished his mission and now Marvin was trying to figure this out. Anti picked up a shard and watched as Marvin pulled out a book from his shelf and a small hand-mirror fell off with it but he couldn't be bothered to put it back. Anti wandered to it as it was the only mirror not having been destroyed in the room. It was far stronger than the others infused with magic.

He picked it up and looked into it and for a second, he swore he could hear a familiar voice shouting at him from it. For just a second, he thought it saw Dark's face in the mirror.

But then it was gone.

And just like a dream, Anti woke back up in the room Septic kept him in.

"Have a nice nap, little puppet?"

Anti hoped it wasn't just all a dream.

Hey, just a quick question everybody- do you guys think I should change the title of the story? I feel like 'Egos and Angst' just doesn't fit this anymore but what do you guys think?
