chapter four
A/N:
I actually forgot how to start this chapter lol
x------
"Aren't you excited?" Alya squealed, shaking my shoulders frantically as we waited in line to enter the plane. I gave her a dirty look, knowing that she knows how I felt about this vacation.
She cleared her throat and released her grip from my shoulders, giving a small, awkward smile, "Come on, it's not that bad. You get to meet your favorite actor," she stated and shrugged, taking a step forward once the person in front of her did the same.
I remained quiet. Yes, I was excited that I was finally going to Hollywood and maybe meet some artists. No, I am absolutely not looking forward to the auditions for the overripe banana's movie.
I had a plan in mind, but it was way too risky. It could ruin my dream of being an actress. I mean, there was a part of me who badly wanted to do that to be sure that I could stay away from Agreste, and then there was a part of me that was too excited and is telling me to just work with him, even if I have to suffer everyday.
Once I finally got to my seat, which is a couple of seats away from Alya, I quickly fastened the seatbelt and gripped on the armrest.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Flying. I have never liked flying, especially takeoffs. It gives me that weird feeling that just makes me want to throw up. No, I don't have motion sickness; I just have anxiety, according to my mother.
A boy about my age sat down beside me, taking off his shades and fastening his seatbelt. He looked a bit familiar, but his name was at the tip of my tongue.
"Are you okay, miss?" He asked, his blue eyes intently staring into mine, making my eyes widen. "You seem a bit starstruck."
He grinned at his little joke as my face flushed in realization. "N-Natha-"
He quickly covered my mouth, placing his index finger over his lips and smiled, showing off his pearly whites. My face went hotter as my heart beat accelerated, realizing that I was sitting beside my celebrity crush; Nathaniel.
My breathing intensified as I internally screamed. Oh my tomatoes, he's here. Sitting beside me like a glittering fairy prince, smiling at me as if I was someone important. Oh my ghod.
He's covering my mouth. His hand had contact with my mouth and cheeks ... his amazing, soft, breathtaking hand.
I am never gonna wash my face ever again.
Once he let go, I opened my mouth to at least say something, but I was too starstruck. He looked adorable on screen, and spicy in personal. I was still screaming internally; this was a dream come true.
Oh my fudging fudge balls.
"Close your mouth, you might catch flies," he joked and chuckled, placing his finger under my chin, lifting it up to close my mouth.
"I-I... Um, you're so cute, really. I mean, I'm a big pan. I mean fan. I mean, not the electric fan, but as in, fangirl fan. I'm just so. . .I ca-"
He laughed and pinched my cheeks, making me feel like my heart was about to fudging explode. "You're the girl who hates Adrien, right? You're so cute."
My heart skipped a beat. He knows. He saw. He knew that I was the one who threw popcorns at the screen, the one who screamed to a movie poster, and the one who hates the "hunky sweetheart".
"T-This is embarrassing," I blurted out, covering my face with my hands, "Please don't talk to me. I shouldn't be talking to a breathtaking, heart melting god right now. You should be in business class, or first class. . .or you should have a private jet! That's what most stars have, right? I know you have one, you rode that jet on your trip to Paris, right? Oh my goodness, I'm a crazy fangirl. I can't believe I just realized that. I-"
I stopped myself when he bursted out laughing, catching the attention of some of the passengers. They were looking at him as if he was crazy, while I was just staring at him, amused. He looked adorable; his cheeks tinted pink, his smile so addicting, and his laugh was very contagious.
Which was the reason why I laughed along with him.
Some of the passengers chuckled, while some simply just ignored us and continued to do what they were doing.
I had absolutely no idea why the heck I was laughing, or why he was laughing, but all I know is that this would be the best plane ride I would ever have in my whole life.
***
"No, no, you don't do it like that," he said, waving his hands up in the air as he shakes his head, "If you want to get in the audition, you're gonna have to feel the emotions of the character."
I blinked twice, disappointed in myself, "So, how do I do it? I thought I was doing it right."
He shakes his head and gave me a blank expression, "Shame on you."
I mocked a cry, wiping nonexistent tears on my face, "How could you! I tried my very best, and all you do is insult me? I thought you were my true love, my one and only! I should've never given you my food!"
It wasn't long until we bursted out laughing again, this time much louder than before. But since the passengers got used to it, they just ignored us.
"Oh wow, Mari, you really need to work on your acting. You're the best example for the word horrible," he laughed, wiping tears from his cheeks.
"Nathy, I'm pretty sure my acting deserves an Oscar."
It hasn't even been an hour and I already had a nickname for Nathaniel, as if we were close friends. But he didn't seem to mind.
He shrugged, turning serious, "No, seriously. If you really want to get in, you have to be the character."
I nodded, tapping my index finger against my chin, "Got it."
After a couple of lectures on how to be a "professional actress", my eyelids began to feel heavy as my whole body turned weak. Slowly, everything went black as I drifted into a dreamless sleep.
***
"
You had quite a ride back there," Alya teased, winking as she nudged my sides. I couldn't help but smile; it was honestly the best plan ride ever, though I have no idea how that gorgeous god got into a plane without the paparazzi following him.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever," I replied, rolling my eyes as I felt my cheeks flush, "It's not everyday you get to talk with your celebrity crush."
Alya stopped nudging me once she realized what I meant. Her eyes widened, her jaw dropped, and her expression was something I couldn't read, but I can tell she was surprised.
"Holy peanuts," she gasped, breathing frantically, "That was Nat-"
"Ssssh!" I quickly shushed her, covering her mouth and took a quick glance at the taxi driver, "No one's supposed to know. I promised him."
It was true. I did promise him I wouldn't say a single word about the plane ride, but somehow I just can't help telling Alya about it. I mean, who wouldn't start blabbering about how you met your celebrity crush in personal? My heart was still beating so hard, I thought it would break my ribcage.
Once I took my hand away from her mouth, Alya wrapped her arms around mine and squealed, tightening her hug on my arm.
"You are so lucky! I can't believe that actually happened to you, Mari!" she screamed, ignoring the flinching of the taxi driver, "I mean, you get to audition to be Adrien's leading lady, and talked with your celebrity crush! Isn't that every girl's dream come true?"
I frowned when I heard the devil's name. Right. I just remembered that I was going to audition as a banana's leading lady, thanks to Alya.
Ignoring the squealing of my best friend, I looked out the window, thinking of what I might do to make everyone in that audition room hate me. I know, it's way too risky, but there were so many opportunities out there to make me an actress, not just this one.
And I'd do anything just do avoid working with the twin brother of Satan.

Hello my fellow Anti-agrestes~
I don't really like this chapter, lolol
Also, don't worry, I will make sure that the smol tomato will remain pure and smol, so ya'll don't have to panic.
Anyways, I'm not a perfectionist, so there might be a lot of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes, so please feel free to point them out 👌🙈
