[ drabble ]

And I know for some, it's temporary

Like a shooting star, soon out of view

But this will always be

It's my destiny to be in love with you

Camilo pushed up a nervous smile, his grip on the small bouquet tightened, he didn't know how to begin, the words seemed to be stuck on his tongue. 

"I, uh." -- was the first thing that fell from his mouth,  he expected you to tease him about it, how he mumbled through words so intelligently, but of course, you didn't. 

"I asked Isabela to grow these for you." He muttered, his eyes glanced towards the flowers in his hand, vibrant and so full of life. "They're your favorite, right?"

No response.

"Look, I know, we haven't seen each other in a while –     and I'm sorry,  I really am."    He said,   looking   away. "I've just been busy, I'll make it up to you, I promise!"

Camilo sighed, he fiddled with his ring, twisting it with his finger. His eyes drifted towards the gravestone, your name etched across. 

"I miss you more and more, mi vida." 

Some people fall in love for life

Others never get it right

Love's fickle when it calls

One thing that I know for sure

Longer than our lives endure

You're my forever fall.
