You were currently cleaning the cow pins, since it was your turn. Dark, on the other hand, was feeding all the animals.

You wiped some sweat of your forehead with the back of your hand and continued to work. That was until the sound of a huge explosion was heard from outside.

You paid no attention to it. Dark probably hit one of the cuccos and now a huge hord was after him. This has happened before, and you remembered on that day they destroyed a lot of stuff. It did sound like a bunch of stuff was exploding.

That's what you thought until Dark came running into the barn.

"(Y/N)...GET OUT...HERE, QUICK!!!" He ordered completely out of breath.

"Dark, if you need me to calm down the cuccos again, I can't, I'm busy right now" you said plainly, not looking up from your work.

"BUT (Y/-"

"Just hide out in the house for a while" you interrupted, "I promise they will go away."

"PLEASE COME OUTSIDE!!!" Dark pleaded.

"Dark, I already said I can't, I'm busy right now" you repeated.

"BUT YOUR FAMILY" Dark yelled pointing at the door.

This made you stop what you were doing and look at Dark. "What do you mean my family?"

"THEY'RE HERE!!!!!" Dark yelled, throwing his hands up in the air.

Your eyes widened and you froze. Dark rolled his eyes before running over to you and grabbing your hand.

"COME ON!!!" He yelled before pulling you out of the barn.

Dark was right. When you got out of the barn, there they were. Your family.

Your Mother and Father were talking to Talon. While your two 6 year old brothers, the twins, we're chasing a cucco.

Talon noticed you were staring at them. He smiled and pointed at you. You could hear him say, "there she is!"

Your Mother and Father turned around and their eyes widened. Your Mother had tears in her eyes and her hands were over her mouth. Your Father, on the other hand, smiled a warm smile and held out his arms.

You were no longer frozen from being surprised. Tears began to stream down your face before you let go of Dark's hand and ran into your Father's arms.

Your Mother joined in the hug and you held each other for a whole minute. When you let go, your Mother still had tears pouring down her face.

"It's so good to see you (y/n)" your father said.

"We missed you so much!" Your Mother cried, bringing you into another hug.

"I'm missed you guys too" you said.

That's when the angry cry of an cucco could be heard. The twins got a hold of it. Dark was already over there and picked the boys up before walking away from the mad cucco. While you picked up the cucco and calmed it down before it could call it's buddies.

Dark set the boys down. The boys looked up at him with annoyed looking faces.

"Why'd you do that?" the twin on the right said.

"Yeah! We were having fun!" the twin on the left said.

Dark was about to answer them, if it hadn't had been for your Mother who called them over.

"Logan! Luke!"

Logan and Luke, the twins. Just like in movies and TV shows, they were best friends. They did all sorts of mischievious things together and you could never separate them. They both had longish messy your color hair and were quite short.

"What were you doing?" She asked when the twins went over to her.

"We were playing with the chicken!" They answered at the same time.

"It's not a chicken" you said as you walked over to them with the cucco still in your arms, "this is actually a cucco."

"What's the difference" your Father asked.

"they're much dangerous" you answered before holding out the cucco for Dark, "Why don't you demonstrate how dangerous they can be?"

Dark stumbled back. "ARE YOU CRAZY!?!?"

You laughed. "Just kidding!"

You put the cucco down and it ran off.

You looked back up at your parents. "How did you guys get here?"

"That would be us!" You heard someone from behind you say.

You spun around to find yourself face to face with Sarina and Alex. You immediately hugged them, and, of course, Sarina was uncomfortable. After a few seconds, you let go of them.

"You brought them here?!" You asked, "how?!"

"Well, you see, the old man we got our Journey Stone from gave us another one and said "wear it as a necklace, it will work better that way"" Alex told you, "when we tried it out, we found out if you wear it, it won't disappear!"

"So that means we can travel as much as we want to any world we want!" Sarina added.

Right after she that, Alex pulled out the charm of a necklace she was wearing from under her shirt. There it was, hanging from a necklace around her neck, a rainbow stone, the Journey Stone.

"That is so cool!" You yelled in excitement, "now you can visit!"

"(Y/n), will you come over here for a minute!?" Your Mother called.

"Sure!" You called back.

You ran over to your Mother, she seemed to be looking at all the buildings on the Ranch.

"So, is this where you work?" She asked.

"Oh! I don't just work here!" You said, "I live here!"

Your Mother gave you a surprised face. "You live here?"

You nodded your head and smiled.

"How can you live here?! It's filthy!" Your mom was an extremely fancy person and a clean freak.

"Well, this is where I was offered to stay" you answered, "and the only way I could stay was if I worked."

"Please tell me your room isn't this filthy!?" Your Mother pleaded.

"Of course not!" You immediately said, "I keep our room nice and clean, I'll show you!"

You began to walk to the room you stayed in, with your Mother following from behind. Your Mother couldn't help but think about why you said our room.

You and your Mother weren't the only people going to your room, your Father came a long too. Along with Dark, who had to get something. You know, because you both share a room.

When you opened the door to your room, your Mother's worried face immediatly went away. Your room was very clean, and you made sure of it. Even though Dark wasn't the most organized person.

Dark walked over to the closet and opened before rummaging through it. When your parents saw this, they flipped out. This freaked Dark out.

"What are you doing going through my daughter's closet!?!?" Your Mom yelled, whacking Dark upside the head.

While your Father marched over and looked like he was about to punch Dark in the face. Luckily, you got over there just in time to keep that from happening.

"Woah woah! Calm down!" You told everyone before looking behind you at Dark, "you okay?"

Dark had a terrified look on his face and was so shocked he couldn't speak, but he managed to nod his head.

"This boy needs to be taught some manners!" You Mother said sternly.

"No mom, it's perfectly fine!" You said putting your hand on Dark's chest, "I kinda forgot to tell you guys."

You walked to Dark's side and wrapped your arms around his arm. This surprised your parents.

"Mom, Dad, this is Dark Link..." you began, "my boyfriend."

Both your parents were shocked, expecially your Father, who was a bit over protective of you. Your Mother was the first one to talk.

"Well then your boyfriend needs to be taught some manners!"

You shook your head. "No mom, you don't understand, me and Dark share this room, also this closet."

You Father snapped out of his state of shock when he heard that and turned red with rage.

"YOU SLEEP WITH HIM!!!" Your Father yelled, but everyone ignored him.

"You share this room?!" Your Mother said before eyeing Dark, "but he's so filthy!"

She was right about that, Dark wasn't clean at all right now. There was dirt all over his clothes and smudges all over his face. Bathing wasn't really a normal thing here at Lon Lon Ranch. That was a thing for the rich people. Every once and a while, you would go to the springs and wash off a bit, but there wasn't really any soap. It was like living in medieval times, but you didn't mind.

"I don't mind his filthiness" you said before you leaned up and kissed Dark on the cheek.

This caused your Father to become more mad then he already was. "Why wasn't I told of this?! How long has this been going on?!"

"You weren't told because I couldn't tell you" you said answering his first question, "and I would say this had been going on for over a year."

"OVER A YEAR!!!" Your Father yelled.

"How old are you?" Your Mother asked Dark.

"Um...17" Dark answered cautiously.

"Well at least your not dating someone in their twentys" your Mother said, "but still, this is unacceptable! Living in such terrible conditions, having an ill mannered boyfriend that we didn't even know about, completely unacceptable!"

"I completely agree!" Your Father agreed.

"If I don't see one good thing about this place starting right now by tomorrow morning..." your Mother began, "I will have no choice but to make you come back home with us!"

"WHAT, BUT MO-"

"No buts!" She interupted, beginning to walk out of the room with her husband.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!!!" You yelled as tears began to roll down your face.

Dark was planning on staying out of this conversation, but when he saw you crying...oh! Something inside him snapped.

"She's right!!!" Dark suddenly yelled before your parents could walk out of the room, "you can't do this!!! You don't know what we've been through toge-"

Dark stopped when he saw your Mother shaking her head. "And what's even worse about this boy is that he yells at his owns girlfriend's parents."

After that, they walked out. When the door closed, you immediately broke into sobs. Dark pulled you into his chest and stroked your hair as well as rubbed your back, trying to calm you down, but it didn't work.

Dark sat on the bed with you still sobbing in his chest, soaking his shirt. He slowly rocked back and forth and whispered things like "it's okay", "everything's going to be alright" or, "I promise I won't let them make you leave" into your ear.

Dark tried everything, but he couldn't calm you down. No matter how many kisses he gave you or cuddles, you just wouldn't stop crying.

As much as you tried to stop crying, you just couldn't. You had been through so much with Dark and you wanted to be with him forever. But now you just couldn't help but think that would never happen just because of your parents.

The day got worse after that.

You couldn't just cry all day, you had to get back to work. When you came out of your room, your Mother wouldn't stop following you around. While your Father followed Dark around and gave him an extremely hard time.

When your Mother saw what you did for a living, she was disgusted! She thought it was completely gross that you had to clean up after filthy farm animals everyday!

Every once and a while you would break into sobs. Dark, for some reason, always knew, it was like a sixth sense, but he couldn't go help you because of your Father. That's when Alex and Sarina had to come step in and calm you down. You laughed when Sarina tried to do a impersonation of Dark to try and calm you down, and it would always work! But the happiness didn't stay because your Mother would come back and start criticizing everything again.

That night wasn't good either. Your Mother found out about the whole bathing thing and how you couldn't bathe a lot here, she freaked out. Then she started asking questions like "what would you do if there was a fire?" or "what would you do if someone broke into the ranch and tried to kidnap you?"

She wasn't very fond of that you had no idea what you would do if there was a fire. She was furious when she heard Dark's answer about the kidnapping question. His answer was that he would slowly kill them and watch them suffer because he would never let anyone touch you. You thought it was sweet, your mom did not.

When it was time for you and Dark to go to bed. Your Father wouldn't let Dark stay with you. Of course, Dark got extremely mad. Him cuddling with you at night was what he looked forward to everyday.

Dark ended up getting yelled at and getting pushed to the ground.

That night, you felt strange. It didn't feel normal not having Dark hold you before you went to sleep. You would turn around constantly, expecting Dark to be sleeping right next to you, but that side of the bed was always empty.

Today went terrible. The only thing your Mother found nice about this place was that your room was clean. You knew for sure, that tomorrow would be your last day here.
