Chapter 9: The chosen owner of Celestial Sword
Lucky's POV
We're arrived in town, and I'm still thinking about what happened earlier, and I still can't believe it.
“Lucky, are you sure you’re alright?” Nag-aalalang tanong ni Zaphael at ngumiti ako sa kanya.
“Don't be concerned about me, I'm fine.” Napangiwi siya dahil sa sinabi ko, I was about to pissed him off when I saw a creature that resembled a normal human.
“What do you call people like them, Jorvina?” Jorvina stopped walking, so we stopped as well.
“They are the charmers, and they have special abilities.” She replied, nag taka ako dahil mukha lang silang tao.
“Why do they look like human?” Zaphael inquired, mukhang pareho kami ng iniisip.
“Because their ancestor was a human endowed with power by the Goddess.” Because of what Jorvina said, I nodded, and my palm was already on my chin.
Tumingin ako sa paligid at nakita ko rin ang mga katulad nina Linglie at Jorvina, mga batang catrus na tumatakbo at naghahabulan, mga white demon nag kalat sa mga tindahan, namimili at may mga nagtitinda rin.
“That creature, what do you call them?” I asked after seeing the men with pink large bodies.
“They are the anthegwere, the rebels in this world. They can drain your strength in a single snap.” Jorvina's response made me frown.
I took another look around and noticed that the shops in this area were just sticking together, with only fabric serving as their walls. Their way of life in this world is very old fashioned, and so is the way they dress. The womens wear a giornea with tight slashed sleeves that reveal the full chemise sleeves beneath, wore over a kirtle or gamurra. Mens wear high-collared over gowns.
A man running too fast caught my attention. I stared at him and could tell his face was normal, but when my eyes landed on his hands, I was surprised because they were strange, his hands are large and appear to be hard as scales.
What kind of creature is that?
“That's forbidden blood,” When Linglie said that, I looked at her as if she heard my thoughts again.
“Forbidden blood?” Zaphael asked, Linglie nodded and spoke once more.
“He carries forbidden blood because he is descended from an element user and an ocean monster.” She explained.
“Is he really that dangerous?” I asked, then retuned my gaze to the man, who was still running.
“Yes, ngunit sa halip na katakutan siya, kinasusuklaman siya because of the blood he has.” I gave Linglie a frown.
“He is pitiful because he has no family, friends, everyone hates and despises him, and he lives alone in the forest.” I felt annoyed because of that. It's not like he has forbidden blood, he should be treated as such, nilalang pa rin siya, at dapat igalang.
Even in this world there's a judgmental being. I looked at that man again, and his eyes were turned to me, he was stunned for a moment, but continued to run because the guards were chasing him.
“Come with us, we'll buy your clothes.” Jorvina continued walking, followed by Linglie, while I frowned and looked at the rebels who were currently stealing money from the seller in town.
“Give me your money, lady.” He ordered, but the woman shook her head and clutched the money container tightly. When the rebel's eyes narrowed he slapped the woman hard, my eyes widened and I became irritated.
“They are bad! They have no respect for womens.” I was annoyed by what I saw. Maglalakad na sana ako papunta sa kinaroroonan nila nang biglang may humawak sa kamay ko at nang tinignan ko kung sino ‘yon, si Zaphael lang pala.
“Don't get in their way,” He said seriously, I glared at him before removing his hand from mine.
“But what they're doing is wrong.” I said angrily when he held my hand too tightly again, and would have walked back towards the rebels.
“No, Lucky. We came here to accompany Jorvina and Linglie on their shopping trip. I hope you avoid trouble even now, especially since we don't know what the abilities of the creatures in this world are.” I saw the censor in his eyes, kaya napabuntong-hininga ako at sinundan siya sa paglalakad pero bago ‘yon, I returned my attention to the insurgents who had stolen the money from the woman.
When I saw a store full of weapons, I stopped walking and went inside, only to discover that my companions were on the other side of the hallway.
When I first walked in, I looked around the entire interior of the store. Lots of great weapons there, there have an armor as well, Swords, Dagger, Mace, Spear, Crossbow, Flail, Long sword, War hammer, Lance, Bow and arrow, Battle axe, Glaive, Arming sword, Morning star, Knife, Poleaxe, Bardiche, Rapier, Caltrop.
But, of all the weapons out there, only one weapon caught my interest. The one that was unique in that, it was placed and covered with electricity at the very end. I was amazed looking at that sword, it was golden and at the end of its handle there were engraved symbols of the zodiac sign, three stars, sun and moon in the middle part of the handle. I carefully examined that sword, and then I also noticed something engraved in its metal: caelestis, a Latin word, but in Middle English, celestial.
I backed away abruptly because the sword flew at me, I blocked my right hand, expecting it to hit me, and I closed my eyes, but after a few seconds, I felt no pain, so I opened my eyes and was surprised to see that I was holding the sword in my right hand. Not only that, but I didn't even feel like I was holding it, possibly because I was afraid the sword would strike me.
“The celestial sword seems already found its intended owner.” After seeing a little fox transform into a human, I turned my gaze to her and parted my lips.
What? Celestial sword?
Damn it! Sa mga nangyayari, parang mababaliw na ako ngayon!
