Chapter 8: Enchanted Garden
Lucky's POV
Linglie was standing in front of a parked carriage. I looked around and saw Jorvina on the carriage's side, holding back a laugh as she looked at me, I rolled my eyes because of her posture, she probably didn't mean to say it was like that inside the portal.
That woman is also full of nonsense in her life, tsk!
“Ahh!” I rolled away from my position when I heard a shout and felt something fall, and I wasn't wrong because Zaphael would have stuck me by now if I hadn't rolled away because he fell out of the portal.
“Fuck that portal!” When he said that, I laughed even harder, and he narrowed his eyes at me.
“Ops! I apologize for not informing you.” Jorvina frowned as we both looked at her.
“That's enough, sumakay na kayo sa karwahe at pumunta na tayo sa bayan.” I nodded and we got into the carriage, which was unusual because it had no roof and was much larger and higher than the carriage we had previously ridden in. Linglie drove it.
There were flying fireflies, flying little dragons that appeared to be babies, and what drew my attention the most were the fast flying pixies and the gleam of their wings.
“Wait for me!”
Napaka-cute niya!
“Hi, little one.”
“Hello, Lady!”
“Hey, who are you talking to, Lucky?” When Zaphael asked that, I turned to face him and pointed to the pixie girl.
“Woah!” After seeing the pixie, Zaphael was taken aback.
“Who is he? Your boyfriend?” Because of the pixies' question, I became choked by my saliva and shook my head.
“What did she say?” Zaphael asked.
“Did you not hear?” Zaphael's brow furrowed as I asked him back.
“Shall I ask if I heard?” I slapped him on the shoulder because his question irritated me.
“Nobody hears or understands what we're saying, Lady.” As she said that, I looked at the pixie.
“Nothing? But I understand and I hear everything you say.”
She scratched her head and smiled at me.
“Why don't you understand what the pixies are saying, Jorvina?” Jorvina looked at me and smiled as I asked her.
“Because pixies are the lowest and smallest creatures created by our Goddess Asteria, only the Goddess and her Daughter Sierra can comprehend them.” Because of what she said, I frowned excessively. Bakit gano’n, why do I understand them? I'm not related to the Goddess, I'm just an ordinary person. How did that happen?
Annoying!
“My name is Soheila. Lady, what's your name?” Even though I was confused by the additional questions that arose in my mind, I simply ignored it in my mind.
“Lucky is my name,” I respond.
“Your given name is lovely.” I smiled at the compliment she told me, and I was about to say something else when I was interrupted by someone calling Soheila.
“Soheila! Soheila!”
Soheila and I both looked at her fellow pixies as they flew towards us. When they got close, I was surprised because all of the pixies shone, including Soheila. They are so bright that the light from them dazzles even my eyes.
“What is going on? Why are they so bright?” Zaphael asked with his eyes closed, and Jorvina and Linglie also closed theirs, indicating that the carriage we were riding in had come to a halt.
I looked at the pixies as they spoke simultaneously, and they seemed to be nothing of themselves.
“The forbidden tree's fruit has ripened,” They repeated those words over and over, my brow furrowed in surprise, and I don't know what they were saying. What does they mean?
Later on, I closed my eyes suddenly because the light coming from them became stronger, and when I opened my eyes, I was somewhere else. A enchanted garden, full of lovely and numerous flowers.
“Lucky...”
“Who are you? Where am I? Why am I doing here?” I asked, but instead of responding, she approached me, her yellow dress glittering, and her long curly hair reaching to her feet.
“My identity doesn't matter anymore,” She said calmly, but there was no denying the authority in her voice.
“Where am I? Why did you bring me here?” With all the strange things going on in this world, I was on the verge of going insane.
She caressed my cheek, and I felt relieved as a result of what she did. “I just want to tell you that no matter what happens in your life, you should always choose goodness in your heart because otherwise, what happened in the past can only happen again.” If I was confused before, I am even more confused now.
“What exactly do you mean?” My question was tinged with annoyance, I was already irritated by what they were saying. Why don't they just say it directly, so I can understand?
“You will also understand everything at the right time,” She said as she turned around and walked back to her previous position.
“Wait! Why don't you tell me right now? Why not at the right time?” She stopped walking.
“Because everyone has the right time, you don't have to take it easy.” It continued to walk, and I looked around, my eyes widening as I noticed that everything was become white.
“WAIT!” I yelled, but I can't see her anymore because of the light.
“Lucky! Lucky! Wake up!” As I opened my eyes, Zaphael's worried expression the first I saw.
“What happened?” Zaphael's eyes narrowed as I asked.
“You're dreaming,” He said, and my lips parted.
What? Am I dreaming? No. I went to that place, to that garden, is still fresh in my mind.
“But I ended up in enchanted garden.”
“What are you saying? You didn't leave, you just slept.” Zaphael said, puzzled, as I sighed and closed my eyes.
What's going on? Is it all a dream? And, if it was a dream, why did I dream it? What do that woman's words mean?
To be continued...
