Lucky's POV

I opened my eyes and was surprised to see that I was already here in the room that Jorvina gave me.

“How did I get here? Kania lang ay nasa ilog ako.” I whispered at the same time as the door opened, I looked there and saw Zaphael and Linglie enter.

“You finally woke up too.” Zaphael seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

“How are you?” Linglie asked seriously.

“I'm thirsty,” I said, so Zaphael immediately handed me a glass of water which I immediately drank. “Where’s Jorvina?” Tanong ko pagkaubos ng tubig.

“It's good that you're awake, you've been unconscious for a week.” Biglang pumasok si Jorvina at ‘yon agad ang sinabi n’ya, napaupo naman agad ako dahil sa sinabi niya.

“What? Seriously? One week?” I couldn't believe that I slept for a week, they nodded at the same time, so I gasped.

Damn it! One week? But why does the fight at the store seem like it happened just yesterday?
And what happened in the river? How did I get there?

“Lucky, are you okay?” I looked at Zaphael when he asked that, I nodded then wanted to stand up when I felt pain in my stomach and then I just remembered that I was stabbed there.

“Wait,” Jorvina said then she left the room, maya-maya pumasok ulit siya na may dalang dahon, kaya nag taka ako.

“What’s that for?” I asked but she didn’t answer, she approached me and lifted my clothes on my stomach then she rubbed the leaf on my wound but I gasped when she removed the leaf.

“My wound...” I said, hung up.

“Gone? Your wound is gone.” Gulat na gulat na wika ni Zaphael.

“Wait, where did my wound go?” I asked Jorvina, she giggled then showed me the leaf and my eyes widened when I saw my wound attached to the leaf.

“This leaf can remove the wound and heal, but only the superficial wound and not the deep one.” I nodded at what she said.

So cool!

“Because you're fine now, we'll start training you later.” Tumaas ang isang kilay ko sa sinabi ni Linglie.

“What do you mean?” Zaphael asked.

“Later we will find out what powers you have.” Jorvina spoke, I frowned because of that.

“What? Power? Do we have power?” I asked them with confused. How do we have a power? We're just a humans.

“Yes, you have power.” Jorvina said, I shook my head.

“No, we have no power, we are just a human.” Zaphael and I looked at each other and we were both confused by what they were saying.

“You cannot come into this world without power, hindi kayo magtatagal sa mundong ito kung wala kayong kapangyarihan.” Linglie said seriously, so I looked at her, her face was emotionless then she turned away. “The lunch I cooked is ready so go to the kitchen.” After she said that, she left the room and Jorvina followed her, while Zaphael and I couldn't believe what we found out.

If we have such power, does that mean we are not human?
Maybe it's like that, we're not human but why didn't Grandpa even say anything about it? I'm sure he knows something because the book came from him.

“I know that like me, you are also confused pero kailangan nating maging matatag sa mga nangyayari at sa mga maaari pang mangyari, especially what we can discover in our personality.” I looked at him when he said that, I smiled then nodded. He was right, no matter what happens we need to be brave because otherwise we are the only ones who will suffer. In this world, we must be strong because we don't know what creatures we can associate with, even though we haven't been in this world for a long time, we almost died immediately because of what happened last week.

I raised an eyebrow at Zaphael so he frowned.
“What?” He asked with annoyance, I hit him hard.

“Won't you come out? I will clean my body.” Dahil sa sinabi ko, parang ang kasing bilis ng hangin na umalis siya sa harapan ko at sa kwarto habang ako naman ay natatawa sa kinilos niya.

I went to the wooden cabinet and took a dress that Jorvina had bought for me, I winced when I saw that the dress was so long, so an idea formed in my mind and I saw the scissors. I took that at saka ginupit ang haba ng tela hanggang tuhod lang at tinanggal ko na rin ang manggas ng damit, so it became sleeveless.

“Perfect!” I said and smiled, then I went to the bathroom of the room and took a shower.

After about half an hour, I also finished fixing myself, I left my room and went to the kitchen to eat. I saw them eating except for Zaphael.

“Hmm, parang hindi sanay kumain ng sabay ang mga tao dito sa mundong 'to.” I murmured and as I got closer to them, I sat down on one of the chairs and started to get some food. “Jorvina, these foods aren't duck and pigeon, right?” Paniniguro ko at nakahinga naman ako ng maluwag nang tumango siya.

It's good because I'm definitely not going to eat again.

After we ate, Zaphael and I offered to clean the dishes but Jorvina refused, she just sent us to the back of their house and said she would take care of the dishes.

“What power do we have?” Zaphael suddenly asked, I crossed my arm and then shook my head.

“I don't know,” Bagot kong tugon sa kaniya kaya sinamaan niya ako ng tingin.

“Aren't you interested in your power?” I stood up in the chair we were sitting in and then looked around the back of the house. From here I can see the beautiful view and especially how high this mountain is.

“The truth is, I'm scared.” I said while still turning my back on him.

“Afraid of what?”

“In power.” I replied, then I turned to face him and looked him in his eyes.

I was scared for no apparent reason, but why? Why am I scared?
