Chapter 10: Celestial World
Lucky's POV
“That sword had been stuck there for a long time.” She said before sitting into one of the sofas.
“What’s the deal with this sword?” I asked because I felt so special about this sword.
“The spiritual guardian made and engraved the symbols on the Celestial sword, which came from the celestial world.” I scratched my head because I didn't understand what she was saying.
“Celestial World?”
“The Celestial World is where the immortal beings of this world go after they're died, but the dead can also return to this world through celestial users. Celestial users are beings who use the spirit or power of the dead creatures here in the Legendarria World, summoning the spirits of the dead to use against their enemies is the power of Celestial users.” Because of her explanation, I nodded.
Iyon ang kanilang kapangyarihan? Ang cool naman!
“But they can only summon one or two.” She added, so I looked at her.
“Bakit isa or dalawa lang? At teka, anong pangalan mo?” When I asked, she waved her hand, and then she was holding the cup of tea.
“Only the Celestial Guardian can use all spirits, as well as the spirits and powers of the 12 zodiac constellation, because Celestial users have a limit on summoning spirits creatures.” She took another sip of her tea before speaking again. “And that is dangerous for everyone, by the way I'm Emerol.” It gave me a serious look.
“What do you mean?” With a frown, I inquired.
“That is dangerous, especially if the appointed Celestial Guardian is evil, he or she will have an easy time annihilating all creatures in both this world and the celestial world because celestial power is the most powerful of all.” Because of what the woman was saying, I felt strange looking at this sword.
“Itong espada, bakit kusang lumapit sa akin?” Nang iangat ko ang ulo ko para tignan siya, she was stunned for a moment before answering my question.
“It simply means that you are the one the sword has been waiting for to take possession of him.” My eyebrows furrowed in response to what she said.
Me? Why me?
“Why me?”
“That's what I don't know, but it can only mean one thing, you're a celestial user or maybe a celestial guardian.” She laughed after she said that.
“Hey! What's so funny?”
“Nothing, I just want to laugh. I don't know why that sword chose you, but he won't choose you if he doesn't believe in your abilities.” She sipped her tea once more. “And one more thing, that sword has a life of its own, and you'll be lucky if he doesn't torture you.” It mocked me, so I just rolled my eyes, and that’s the answer a ‘him’ she says.
What made this celestial sword choose me? I'm just a regular person, a human.
“But I'm just a normal—” Naputol ang sasabihin ko nang biglang pumasok si Zaphael at nasa likod niya sina Jorvina at Linglie.
The way Zaphael looked at me made me wince. “Lucky,” He said it solemnly and gave me a stern look.
“Oh! Zaphael!” I scratched my head and gave him a small smile.
“Don’t be so stupid, Lucky, paano kung mawala ka? You don't know what might happen to you in this world, so don't go anywhere.” I felt like a kid lecturing by my grandfather on what Zaphael was saying.
“Come on, there's a restaurant behind the fruit market where we can eat, and I know you're hungry as well.” When Jorvina said that, I felt like I was starving.
Jorvina and Linglie were the first to leave the store, and Zaphael and I were about to follow when the woman spoke again. I still don't know her name.
“Purchase the Celestial sword.” I smiled after shaking my head.
“No, I don't have any money and I don't need that.” After hearing what I said, one of her brows raised.
“Are you sure you won't need that sword?” She asked, then stood up, and I looked at the sword I was holding, then set it aside.
“I'm pretty sure at malinaw pa sa sikat ng araw na hindi ko kailangan n’yan.” I left the store after saying that, and Zaphael just followed me.
“What’s going on?” I stopped walking for a moment to answer his question.
“Nah, don't worry about it. Let's go, I'm already hungry.”
We arrived at a restaurant that Jorvina says after a few minutes of walking. Zaphael and I were just walking quietly, and I noticed that he was thinking too deeply.
“Sit down,” Walang emosyong sabi ni Linglie pagpasok namin sa restaurant, inilibot ko ang mga mata at nakita kong medyo marami na ang kumakain dito.
“Where is Jorvina?” When I noticed she was the only one at our table I asked Linglie.
“She order for our food,” Her simple response made me cringe at the way she treated the people around her I suppose I'll get used to her.
When Jorvina arrived with the food, my eyes lit up because it looked so good.
Jorvina finally put the food in, we started eating without asking what kind of food it was because I was starving and didn't care what those foods were called.
“This Roast Duck with Figs is absolutely delectable.” Jorvina abruptly stated, while we were eating, my mouth was full of food, and I immediately spat when I found out that was the duck.
“Hey! Why did you vomit?” I locked my gaze on Zaphael.
“What the hell?! Is this an actual duck?” I asked Jorvina, and I pointed to the dishes.
Linglie and Jorvina both nodded. “This one is roasted pigeon.” When I heard that, I almost puked again.
Shit!
“Ano nga ba ang isyu? Masarap naman ah.” I immediately hit him and looked at him angrily because he had sarcasm on his face.
“Hindi ba halata? Hindi ako kumakain ng ganitong klase ng pagkain!” Zaphael rolled his eyes.
“Stagey,” I was about to hit him again when a woman and a man came over to our table.
“Jorvina, Linglie the captain is calling you.” Sabi no’ng lalaki habang umiiyak ‘yong babae kaya naman nagtaka ako.
“What happened?” Jorvina asked, slightly concerned, while Linglie simply stared at the newcomers.
Linglie stood up.
“Lucky, Zaphael dito lang kayo, may kakausapin lang kami. We'll be back.” They stood up and followed the woman and the man out of the restaurant.
Zaphael and I exchanged glances, and then Zaphael's shoulder moved up and down as he ate, while I sat down and stopped eating because I had lost my appetite.
“Hindi ka kakain?” I was about to respond when I noticed the woman and a rebel.
“You have not yet paid,” The old woman said to the rebel, and the rebel looked at her before walking out of the restaurant.
The old woman grabbed the rebel's arm, causing him to stop walking.
“You have not yet paid.”
“Lucky...” Zaphael said to me, may pagbabanta but I didn't listen to him, so I ran over to where they were, and the rebel was about to attack the old woman when I grabbed his palm, so it turned its attention to me and everyone else inside the restaurant.
“Let go of my hand!” Instead of being scared, I smirked at him and twisted his hand, hearing it crack.
To be continued...
