Nova's Point of View

I led my silings and Ron's friends towards the Burrow anxiously. Mum's clock was probably telling her that we were in peril or we were home. If Mum was looking at it right now and noticed my arrow at the home part it would make her surprised I'm sure since I haven't come over in a few months.

"'Ey Ron. What's been going on with you? How's hogwarts been since I left with Bill?" I asked as we walked. "Um...... it cpould be better." He said scrathcing the back of his head. "How so?" I asked slowing down some.

"Well we've had to rexcue the Sorceror's stone. The Chamber of Secrets was opened in our second year," I could hear Ginny shudder. "And Sirius Black caused a lot of trouble last year." Ron said. "Wow...................... Well I'm sure this year will be around as interesting as that." I said slyly.

"How do you suspect?" Harry asked making me grin in the dark. "You'll find out!~" I said and noticed the fain lights coming into view ahead. "We're almost home!" I said loudly making everyone speed up.

Once we were in the actual yard Mum came rushing out to meet us. "OH! RON! HERMIONE! HARRY! FRED! GEORGE! NOVA! Thank heavens you're all alright!" She excaimed squeezing each of us individually.

"Fred, George. I'm so sorry! The last thing I saod to you was me getting angry just because you didn't get enough O.W.L.'s! If something had've happened to you-" "but nothing did." "Yeah especially with Nova around!" The twins said interrupting Mum.

Mum turned to me looking teary eyed. "Nova, I had no idea you went! I wouldn't have even gotten to speak to you if you got hurt!" Mum said making me grimace. "Mum relax we're ok. The others will be here soon. I promise." I said holding her hands in mine.

She nodded and led us back inside. Mum made mugs of tea as we sat at the table waiting for Dad and the rest of my brothers. Eventually they march inside making me jump up and squeeze the life out of my twin.

Once I was down I also slapped the sense into him. "OW!" He said and rubbed his sore cheek. "William Weasley who scared me and Mum to death and then decide to come home late into the night! What did you expect me to do?! At least it was a slap and nothing more!" I said shaking him by the front of his shirt.

Charlie placed a hand on my shoulder and gently removed my hands off William's shirt. "Nova, we know you are upset but calm down. Think of the situation. Don't lose it over Bill just yet ok? Let's get some sleep then we can think clearly." Charlie reasoned and I nodded with a sigh.

"Yeah...... Night everyone." I said before heading off to my room which I now shared with Ginny when I came home. Before long she was there too and we were asleep within minutes.

I'm standing beside Percy, and Mum as we see off the rest to Hogwarts. "We'll see you soon guys. Sooner than you might think." I said with a grin. "What's that mean??" Ron asked me curiously.

I shook my head, "you better get on the train looks close to leaving." I said and the trio rushed to get on board. "I best go too. I'll see you soon Perce." I say before heading closer to the front of the train.

I get into the car closet to the engine so it would be less likely to run into my siblings. I find an empty compartment and sit down reading a book I brought with me. A light knock on the door made me look up. The door slid open to reveal a girl with short black hair and light brown skin.

"Oh hi?" I said confused. "Hi um mind if I sit with you?" She asked and I nodded. She joined me and set her trunk in the holder above. Once she sat down I gave her a smile. "I'm Nova Weasley, what's your name?" I asked as her eyes widened.

"You're a Weasley?! Like related to Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny Weasley?! Cool! I'm Kiarra." She said. I chuckled at her excitement. "Yep. Those are my younger brothers. I'm one of the oldest my twin is William or as he goes by "Bill"." I rolled my eyes, and she giggled.

"You seem pretty nice. What house are you?" I asked. "Um Hufflepuff." She said and I smiled. "That's a nice house. I've always enjoyed Hufflepuffs. Especially since they're always good friends with Gryffindor." I said and she smiled.

"Wait. Didn't you already graduate? Why are you here?" She asked and I grinned. "You'll find out once we get there. You take Care of Magical Creatures?" I asked and she nodded. I reached up into the carrier and pulled down a smaller pet cage. "Oof! He's a bit heavy." I said as I sat back down.

"What is he?" She asked as I undid the locks. "A Niffler!" I said and pulled him out as he wiggled in my grip. "Aw~! He's so cute!" She said and tried to reach for him. "Woah! He has to really trust you first." I said at her hurt expression as I held him away.

"It took several weeks to get him this affectionate with me." I said as I tickled him. "How'd you do it?" She asked scooting forward a bit. "Food. Lot's of it." I grinned. "What's his name?" She asked and I deadpanned.

"Um...... I haven't got one for him I've only called him well, Him." I said and rubbed my neck. "Well what about Butter? He looks slick as better considering your holding him pretty tightly." She said. i nodded with a smile.

We spent the ride talking to each other and I realized she was really nice for her age. "Well you best geto onto the platform and i gotta sneak off the train without being seen." I said unamused. She wished me luck as I left carrying my pet carrier and bag.

I had to run ahead in order to catch a carrige by myself. Once I reached the front steps I met Mcgonagall. "Sorry *pant* I took so *pant* long. had to hurry to avoid the students." I said hands against my knees. She nodded and led me to an empty room I could leave my stuff until after the feast.

I gave her my thanks before hurrying into the Great Hall. I sat next tol the space Hagrid woyld be sitting in since I ewas gonna help him this year until the event was over. I hid towards the shadows so my family wouldn't see me and realize that I was here.

Eventually the feast had started and all the new students were sorted. "Attention students!" Dumbledore said standing up. "This year Hogwarts will be host to a notorious event known as the Triwizard Tournament. Visitors from Durmstrang Institute and Beauxbatons Academy for magic will be arriving in October to compete.

However seeing as this a dangerous event we have two very important professionals here to oversee that there are limited casualities. Please allow me to introduce Mr. Barty crouch and Ms. Nova Weasley!" We both stood up from our respective seats and I could tell my siblings were surprised.

"To ensure the safety of students there is to be an age restriction so that no student under age will be allowed to compete." Crouch said resulting in many yells of protests especially from Fred and George.

"AND! There will be no creatures that could extreme harm or possible death to students! I will ensure nothing will hamr anybody eho does compete." I stated after rising. I stared over them all with a hard stare.

"Yes tha k you Ms. Weasley and Mr. Crouch. The Goblet will be open to entries once the other schools arrive. And since the school will be hosting such a wonderous event there will not be Quidditch games." Dumbledore said and I noticed a distressed expression on Harry's face.

"Now! Lety's finish this marvelous meal." He said but before he sat a figure burst through the doors. "Ah. Also allow me to introduce the new Defense Against the Dark Arts porfessor Alastor "Mad-eye" Moody." He said clapping the figure on the back as they removed thier hood.

I could feel my breathe hitch. I had seen him while I was working once, but from a distsance. He had been leading a small unit of Aurors and one asked me where the nearest village was. I quickly regained my composure and continued to eat my potatoes.

The feast ended and I walked to the room that held my bag and Butter. Whenever I walked out I headed to the Griffindor tower. I would be staying there and had the passwords so the Fat Lady couldn't deny me.

Almost as soon as I entered my siblings pounced on me. "Why didn't you tell us you would be here?! How long are you here?" They asked making me get a bit annoyed but I just sighed through my nose.

"It was a secret/surpirse. And I'm here until this stupid tournament is over." I grumbled, crossing my arms, my gloves showing. "I gotta get Butter out before he goes nuts." I said setting down my bag.

"Butter?" Harry asked looking confused. "My pet *grunts as pulls him out of carrier* Niffler." I said as I held him up. Ron and the younger twins groaned once they realized I had brought him while Ginny and Hermione let out small giggles and Harry stared in curiousity.

"Please tell me there's a closed off area in the common room?" I said looking around. Fred pointed towards a darker corner with some old wood planks. "That should work thanks Fred." I said before walking over with his carrier. I set it down and set the planks up into a medium sized box corner. I set him inside before stting down one more as a lid and sealed it with magic.

"*sigh* Now I don't have to worry about him. See ya guys in the morning." I said before climbing to the top of the girl's stairs.

I'm standing beside Hagrid since I'm helping with his class until the first event. "Wel'ome ever'one!" He boomed. "To'ay we 'ave a guest. Nova Weasley." I gave a wave but stayed silent. "You brought 'im?" he asked turning to me. I nodded and brought Butter from his carrier.

"Everyone meet Butter, my pet niffler. I know Hagrid has probably introduced you to some........ interesting creatures by now, but the thing to know about nifflers is that they love gold. They sure are cute but you leave them alone without some sort of carrier they will look for anything shiny like gold or silver."

I said setting him down and putting a galleon a bit away from him. "Watch." Everyone watched him as he immediatley ran towards the galleon. I picked up right as he reached it and he let out a note of betrayel.

"They are very fond of gold. That's why goblins don't like them. They both like gold but nifflers don't restrain themselves unless they're trained but it's very difficult." I explained but Butter jumped up and snatched the galleon from between my fingers.

"HEY!" I shouted and picked him up. "Hagrid continue please I gotts try to get my galleon back." I said gritting my teeth. He nodded in amusement and assigned evryone a niffler for some challenge they were doing.

I eventually managed to get it from his grip but he was still mad. He let out little snuffs that sounded like they were quite colorful. "Ergh You are a pain." I said staring him in the eyes. He snuffed again and I narrowed my eyes.

"Be glad students are here." I said and he snorted. I set him in his carrier before locking it again. I turned around and noticed most students had fair piles of gold beside them. Poor Ron only had one beside him and looked exasperated.

I walked over and let out a series of short brisk whistles. He looked at me oddly but I ignored him. His niffler popped up and chucked at me before moving over a few feet and digging again.

"The ground had to much of a metal smell and it confused him," I explained to my brother. "You talk to animals? Since when?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. "I had to learn how to for my job." I said before standing up.

"Hagrid about 5 more minutes you think?" He nodded and I looked around again to see Malfoy yelling at his niffler. My expression hardened as I walked over to him. "An issue here?" I asked and he glared up at me.

"He hasn't collected half as much gold as in my pocket." He exclaimed in anger. I rolled my eyes. "Waah. Big deal not all nifflers collect a lot and yelling at them doesn't help." I said. He scoffed at me and I let out a low long whistle then three short ones.

"Wow, HEY WEASLEY YOUR SISTER SEEMS TO HAVE LOST IT! WHAT'D YOU KNOW-" He was cut off as his niffler jumped on his chest knocking him backwards. "Next time think before offending an animal or my family." I said before walking off a small smile on my face.

"OK guys! Step away from the holes." I said and everyone took some steps back. I let out 2 short whistles a long then another short and the nifflers ran to their boxes. We locked them and turned to everyone.

"So go to your piles and count the gold. Don't try to run off with it because it's leprechaun gold. It's duller than regular gold if you look closely." I said as they all hurried to their piles.

Me and Hagrid moved thorugh students counting the gold. Draco had only 15 pieces of gold and Ron had 6. Harry had 32 which made me kinda surprised.
"Hagrid what niffler did Harry have?" I asked but he shrugged saying he hadn't paid attention.

"Well based on the piles Harry Potter has the most gold. Ok off to your next class." I said before groaning. "I don't miss being in school." I said turning to Hagrid who laughed.

Finally after three or four other classes it was time for lunch. I entered the hall and sat in my seat. Karkaroff sat 2 seats down from me and Maxime on his side closest to me. Hargrid seemed to fancy her and she was nice enough.

The two had arrived a week or so ago along with their students. The champions were selcted on Halloween and everyone was surprised to find that Harry had also been selected leaving Hogwarts with two champions.

Charlie has been trying to get me to help him but I refused. What he was working with was to high level for me and I didn't wanna risk it. Now I had no choice for the first event but outside of that nope.

Nobody else knew he was here except for me and the rest of the staff and Crouch, and Percy who was here with Crouch. He had stsarted acting snotty towards us even me, William, and Charlie who were all older than him.

"I wtched ze lezon from afar, you know zery much Ms. Weasley." Maxime said to me making me blush. "Oh well um thank you. I've always enjoyed creatures such as nifflers. I even have a pet niffler named Butter." I said smiling.

She nodded and we fell into a comfortable silence. I glanced up as I noticed Ron was avoiding Harry. I frowned and stood up. I walked over and touched my brother's back making him look up.

His face paled once he noticed my annoyed expression. I violently tilted my head to the entrance hall. He followed me outside and to an empty classroom. "Ronald Weasley either tell me why you are avoiding Harry or so help me." I said not looking at him with my arms crossed.

"Well it's just- He- I-............. He always gets the attention Nova. He saved the stone from Quirrell, he saved Ginny from the chamber, he saved Sirius Black, and now he gets to compete in the Triwizard Tournament." Ron said angrily.

I truned around and glared at my brother. "Are you, Ronald Weasley, telling me that you would abandon your best friend over something stupid as jealousy?! Don't be a bloody idiot!

I'm telling you this only for you, Harry, and Hermione to know. The next event is dragons. Use this opportunity Ron and make up with Harry, or I'll tell Mum to send another Howler." Ron's eyes widened to saucers. "You-" "Oh yes Ron, Fred and George told me all about it. Now either go and tell him or else." I said popping my knuckles.

he ran out with no hesitation and I chuckled to myself. I walked out and went down to Hagrid's. On my way there I ran into Moody. "OOf!" I fell to the ground. He turned around with a scowl and I noticed his hair was a darker brown. "Um, Moody? Are you ok?" I asked standing up and backing away some.

"EH?" He seemed to realize something was up and touched his head. His eye widened and he downed a drink from his flask and his hair changed back. "You're not Moody." I said reaching for my wand.

He growled and shot my wand away. "Why you-" I started but didn't get to finish. "Stupefy." I fell backwards and everything went dark.

3rd Person Point of View

The Weasley family stare at the staff table nervously. "Has anybody seen Nova?" George asks and they all shake their head. "I haven't seen her since lunch." Ron says glancing at Harry.

"Let's ask Percy. He may know." Ginny suggested but the others said no. "Where is she then? Does she ever miss meals?" Hermione asked. "When she visits the Burrow no but when she isn't we have no clue."

They sigh and continue to eat but it's now silent save for the clicking of silverware on china. Percy notices their solemn behaviour from the staff table and looks down to where Nova usually sat but noticed her absence.

A few moments later the doors are thrown open and she rushes in, looking flustered. She sits down and begins to eat ignoring the stares around her. Eventually conversations resume and her sudden arrival is forgotten. Except for the Weasley family and their friends.

Once they all arrive in the common room with Nova they question her. "Why were you late?" Fred asks. "I was tired and I took a nap I must have overslept." She snapped. Her arms crossed but her gloves were missing.

"what happened to your gloves?" ginny asked making Nova stare at her. "I didn't wear them today." She said but Ron shook his head. "You had them when you talked to me." She had a confused expression.

"We didn't talk today. Only during Care for Magical Creatures." Nova said making everyone share a glance. "Yes you did. You told me the secret." Ron persisted but she shook her head. "I'm going to bed, you're all weirding me out." She said before rushing up the stairs.

"Dumbledore?" Harry asked. "Dumbledore." They all agreed. They headed off to bed and would speak to Dumbledore the next day since it was late now.

The next day Ginny and Hermione woke up Nova and then they traveled to Dumbledore's office with Ron. "The bloody hell we up this early?" Nova grumbled. "To talk to Dumbledore. You know the password right?" Hermione said/asked.

Nova nodded but rolled her eyes as well. As they walked up the stairs to Dumbledore's office they noticed that again she didn't have her gloves. As they looked closer they noticed her hands were pale and seemed to have a mark on each one.

As they knocked they could hear a faint "Come in" from inside. They entered with an annoyed looking Nova. "They dragged me here Professor, I had no intentions of coming but they made me." She explained shooting a glare at her siblings and Hermione.

"I see and may I know why you have brought her here?" He asked the others as she sat in a chair. "You see professor, last night Nova was extremely late to dinner and according to Hagrid she never returned to his hut for the rest of the classes or for Butter.

and when we got to the common room she didn't have on her gloves or recall her talking to me during lunch. And she doesn't have them now." Ron said pointing to Nova who tugged down her sleeves and glared at Ron.

"I just don't wanna wear them Ron ok?!" Nova snapped standing up. "Think you know everything about me Ronald?! Ginerva do you think so too?!" Nova said glaring at her younger siblings.

They both shared an expression of shock and fear of their sister. "Ms. Weasley. Nobody has said this. They merely show a concern for you in this time. Now sit back down please." Dumbledore said gently but with an undertone that was serious.

Nova growled but obeyed. "Where the bloody hell is my wand when I need it?" She mumbled still angry. "Now Mr. Weasley, you mentioned she had a conversation with you and now does not seem to recall it?" He said once more and Ron nodded not trusting himself to speak.

"Might I ask you to recall this conversation?" He requested in a way that made it clear it wasn't a request. "W-well, I had been eating but I was avoiding Harry seeing as we had a row shortly after he was chosen for the Tournament. And then-"

"DAMN IT RON! If you hadn't acted like a baby maybe then I would have trustedyou to talk to Harry without me nudging you along!" Nova claimed standing up from her seat. Ron, Ginny, and Hermione grinned. It was working.

"well she pulled me into an empty classroom and told me to make up with Harry." "Not just that, I told him something important that if he tells anyone else I'm gonna slug him." She said with a serious expression

Ron nodded quickly and turned back to the headmaster. "I see and I'm to assume this information was shared with Mr. Potter and Mrs. Granger?" Hermione nodded and Nova looked ready to interrupt again. "She told me to sir." Ron said rubbing his neck.

"I see you appear to recollect the event Nova?"  Dumbledore asks and she nods feeling oddly subdued. "But, I feel like it was forced out of me the last bit I remember from last night before dinner is leaving the classroom and then bam darkness. Wait no I ran into Moody and then bam darkness." She said holding her head in her hands.

"Did you have your gloves during this?" The headmaster asked. "YES! And then.......................... I don't know where they went or my wand! My wand is missing! That thing is dangerous in the wrong hands!"

She looked at her hands in fear knowing that if her siblings saw or found out she would be in even more trouble. "Dumbledore can I talk to you privately?" Nova asks not looking at the younger students.

He nods and shooes them out of the room. He locks the door and turns back to her, "Now what is it?" He asks noticing her sad expression. "This." She says and rolls her sleeves up to reveal her pale hands with black snakes carved into them.

"My dear how did this happen?" Dumbeldore asks, gently holding them closer to his spectacles. "Possible D-Death Eaters. I was found by myself as usual it's part of my work. And they tried to get me to tell where the Dark Lord was, but I denied knowing and they did this." She says glancing at the door.

"They can't know, especially my siblings. They're suspicious already since I've never worn them before now. It feels like I was Imperiused but that's impossible right? It's illegal. Nobody would do something illegal in Hogwarts right?" Nova says growing desperate.

Dumbledore nods but not to agree but to reassure the young witch. She sighs in relief and pull sout an extra pair from her pocket. "Luckily I'm prepared." She mutters and puts them on.

"See you soon, sir." She says and walks out scaring the others. "Just so you kno I knew what you were doing and used a wandless spell on the door." Nova says and walks past them down the stairs.
