Chapter 6 : Guess Who's Back in Business
I watch in shock as Percy and that blonde kiss. I sit, frozen in my seat, thinking on my one thing.
Impossible.
It was simply and utterly impossible.
It wasn't even my doing.
I loved it when people fell in love at first sight, but I always had to push those people together first. Without me, there would only be lust; but Percy did the impossible.
He resisted my affection implant, keyed to a boy he'd known for years, and he kissed a boy he barely met.
With my implant, he shouldn't be able to take his eyes off of Nico, he should want to endlessly peruse him, to kiss him! Not some blonde he never knew!
Dear mother Rhea, why did nothing with Percy go to plan?!
Kissing and caring for another boy beside Nico was impossible! Almost as if-
Almost as it were magic.
My face grows red in anger as I watch Percy and that blonde bimbo talk to different guests, stealing kisses from one another when they thought no one was looking.
How dare Hecate meddle with my affairs!
Of course the bitch would put a magical bond on them! She just couldn't resist!
"Hecate," I growl out, applying layers of pink lipstick to try and calm myself, "I summon you, minor goddess of magic and crossroads. Come, as the demand of an Olympian, a major goddess of love and beauty!"
Immediately, Hecate appeared before me and bowed. "Why have you called me, Aphrodite?"
"As if you don't know!" I shrieked, livid at the sheer audacity of her actions. "Take the bond off of Percy and that blonde boy! Now!"
Hecate looked up at me, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. I roll my eyes and show her my love glass. Hecate's eyebrows rose on her forehead as she watched Percy and-
"Is that Draco Malfoy?!"
I narrow my eyes at her. "As if I'm supposed to know his name!"
"Whatever. The magic bond on them is natural, it's not my doing."
"I. Don't. Care. Remove. The. Bond."
"I don't know how, Aphrodite! It's never been done!" Hecate cried out, her tone pleading.
"Well you better figure it out! I will not ask again!"
"We don't know what will happen if I sever the bond! Those boys were chosen by each others magic-"
"Hecate," I hiss, rising from my throne, the minor goddess shrinking under my furious gaze, "you will do as I ask as a major goddess. It is your duty, and you have no place to question me. Do it."
Tears started to fill Hecate's eyes. "Forgive me, my blessed."
She started a complex chant, stuttering slightly as she made up the spell on the spot, brows furrowed in concentration. The spell took one hour to complete, both boys in different locations as the day came to an end.
Hecate's eyes flew open just as both boys collapsed, anguished scream tearing from their throats, arms pushing at their chests.
"What have we done, Aphrodite?" Hecate whispered, her eyes glossed over as magical exhaustion settled in.
"We did what was necessary," I say, wincing as both boys started to vomit blood, the people that cared for them rushing around them to figure out how to help them.
We watch as the boys were transported to St. Mungo's Magical Hospital by the night bus, the healers worried what apparation and portkey would do to their sensitive state of body and mind. Both boys were staring into space, totally out of it, too enraptured in their pain.
Percy started to cause earthquakes, the ground below the healers cracking and jumping, making it difficult for them to move quickly.
Draco's magic was searing anyone that touched his skin, his magic in chaos, searching for the connection, the peice that was ripped away from him.
Once both boys were sedated, I called upon one more goddess.
"Mnemosyne, I summon you, titaness of memories. Come, as the demand of an Olympian, major goddess of love and beauty!"
It took a few moments, but golden dust started to swirl in front of me, and Mnemosyne finally appeared in front of me once the mini-tornado got to the right hight and width.
"You called, Aphrodite?" The titaness whispered out, her chocolate curls framing her face delicately. Maybe I'll style my hair that way once I was done with this mishap.
"Mnemosyne, I need you to erase the memory of hugging and kissing from Percy and Draco's mind."
Mnemosyne nodded, "It shall be done, my lady."
I relax back into my throne.
"Good."
