I looked at the door where I had heard the knock.
John stood up and left me to put away Marlo and Sheldon. After placing Sheldon in I made my way to the door to go see who was there.
"Hey! Alex! This is Peggy and Lafayette!" He called from the living room. I made my way out to meet his friends.
"Hi, I'm Alexander!" I said attempting cheerfulness.
"Hi!" They chorused.
"What are you two doing round here?" Laurens asked the two who were now sitting on the floor.
"My sister was getting to overwhelmed with stress so I went to find Taffy who was being ignored by Herc," explained the petit girl.
"Ha, unlucky ducks," I was showing Alex my turtles!" I smiled at John as he made that comment.
"So Alex, where are you from?" Asked Laf, his heavy French accent tainting his words.
"Oh I'm from Nevis," I told them.
"The place that was hit by the hurricane?"
"Yeah that's why I'm here," I told them shuffling, slightly uncomfortable.
"Oh... What are you studying?" Asked Peggy.
"Law and political science. You?"
"I'm going for medical," she said.
"I'm doing culinary arts," Laf said.
"Neat!" I said happily. Maybe this wouldn't be to bad, I already had some friends, this might not be horrible.
Eventually Laf started baking while Peggy put in a movie that I had never seen before. I think she called it 'Brave' there was a sassy red head and a lot of bears.
Around midnight Lafayette and Peggy went back to their dorms. But I fell asleep right after they left, I was lying on something really warm... I couldn't be bothered to care. Jet lag was killing me.  It wasn't horrible but it would be 1 am there and I would try to fall asleep by now I also hadn't had the best sleeps in the past month due to the fact I was in an orphanage. It didn't give you the comfiest beds or the quietest nights.
So I let sleep over come me.

John-
Oh shit he was sleeping on me. What do I do. Halp. He's too cute and warm. What if Francis comes in. Oh well too late. I fell asleep, using Alex as a blanket. Class didn't start for another week.
