ben's p.o.v

we were all in bella's room watching her. by everyone i mean, carlos, mal, uma, and my parents. after mal and uma took down audrey they brought her here and i told them to take her to the guest room. i left carlos to watch over bella as i went to look for my parents, uma and mal were going to try to reach evie and the others.

we were waiting for evie to show up with hades, it was quite. all you could hear was my mother crying as my father comforted her. the looks on their faces were ones i hope i never see again. pure sadness and hurt. wait until i tell them who we brought over to help us bring her back to life.

"s-she's slipping away, my baby." my mother couldn't stand to look at bella in the state she was in. we didn't know how much time she had left before she actually.... died.

"there's only one person who could do something about this, and that's hades." mal said to my parents. "hades? he wouldn't do it." my father looked at mal then at bella, he was right. how do we know he'll actually help us? why would he? after all, my dad did lock him away in the isle for eternity.

"actually, he might do it for me. he's my father." mal rested her head on uma's shoulder as she tried to avoid making eye contact with us. so you're telling me, two of the most powerful villains to have lived are mal's parents? woah, just woah.

"well i'll have to send guards over..." my father began to say to himself. then there was a knock, that must be the god i ordered. "he's here." i said as i went to open the door. my father had no time to react as evie walked in with the guys holding a handcuffed hades. my father had a surprised look on his face, my mother looked up to see hades walk in. they were both shocked to see him here.

mal turned and walked over to her father. "thank you for coming." she spoke in a monotone way. hades simply rolled his eyes, "didn't have much of a choice." to which evie rolled her eyes and went to see bella. i should apologize to her for the way i treated her earlier.

"can you wake her?" i asked, i didn't want to waste any more time. bella can't and will not die. not on my watch. hades lifted his arms up and this prompted my father to walk over to him, i doubt hades would try to hurt us right now. not with mal here that is.

"yeah. i'm gonna need to use my hands." harry went to uncuff him as the awkward silence grew. my mother had stopped crying, she stood there in fear. if hades couldn't help bella then no one else could. mal handed hades his ember and he walked over to bella's bed as his hair lit up again. before he actually reached bella's bead, my father got in the way. these two fully grown men began to growl at one another. are you fucking kidding me?

"dad!"
"dad!"

mal and i both called for our fathers to back off, again time was running out. if hades doesn't hurry up i swear i'll send him back to the underworld myself. maybe evie would even help me. soon the room turned blue as hades began to work his magic. he moved his hand in a circular manner and with that magic began to flow towards bella. her top half was raised up and soon she woke up. oh my god she woke up! yes she woke up! yes she's not dead! oh my god oh my god. fuck yeah i'm not loosing my sister!

"bella!" evie and i said at the same time. bella looked around the room trying to take in her surroundings.

"tell me it was all one big horrible fucking nightmare." bella looked at me, i guess she didn't notice my parents in the room. "i wish i could, but its over now." evie grabbed bella's hand but she pulled her hand back. "evie..." bella whispered. i guess she remembered what evie said to her as her eyes got teary. evie got up and walked towards the other side of the window. i'm sure bella would understand what happened and how it wasn't evie's fault. still, evie felt sad and stood behind me. "i'm sorry." she whispered again. she didn't need to apologize to me though.

"audrey's in the other room, fairy godmother and queen leah are waiting for us." my father said to mal and i. and also hades i guess. "come with me." mal said to her dad but he didn't listen.

"i was told i only had to save one girl, not two. why do i need to save the girl who tried to kill you all?" hades asked. bella looked at him then at me. "audrey? she's here? you took her down and brought her here?" she asked me. i simply nodded, i don't think she's behind this idea of saving her.

"since when do heroes care about villains?" hades asked. "she's-" he cut me off before i could say anything. thought i shouldn't really try to defend her. after all she did go over to the dark side and almost killed my sister.

"one of your own? right. when you guys try to destroy the world, it's an error in judgment. but when it's one of us, lock 'me up and throw away the key. right beast?" hades said looking over at my father.

"he's right." bella went to get up but our mother stopped her. "glad i'm not the only one here with common sense, you sure she's your daughter? i mean she does have the blue hair and all." hades joked but dad didn't like his joke.

"bella, you can't actually be okay with letting audrey die." i said to her but she shook her head. "ben i'm sorry but this is what's best for auradon. we can't have her running around causing trouble, putting our people in danger." bella got up from her bed, despite my mother's protest, and walked over to where we all stood.

"bella," i tried to think of something to say but i couldn't think of anything else. "she and jane have to be punished for what they did. death is too good for them. everyone who's not a teenager follow me." with that bella exited the room, with my parents behind her.

"dad, you should probably go too." mal said to hades. "you're trusting me to go off on my own?" he asked. mal only nodded and with that hades exited the room and followed bella and my parents.

"you think bella will let them live?" carlos asked as he came over to stand next to me. "bella's not cold hearted, she can be a mean bitch but she's not a cold hearted bitch." i said jokingly, but there was some truth behind what i said. bella was right, death is the cowards way out of escaping punishment. i just wonder what audrey's punishment will be, and jane's since bella brought her up. fairy godmother let her off too easily.

now to apologize to someone who i hope will one day be my sister-in-law.

"evie, i owe you an apology." i turned around to face her. "i was a real dick to you back in fairy cottage. you were under a spell, i should've known that. i know that you love bella and would never hurt her. i just let my emotions get the best of me, and i shouldn't of gone all beast mode on you. i shouldn't have blamed you for bella almost dying, that was a real dick move. i hope you can forgive me, not now but when ever you're ready." evie looked at me for a second without saying anything, kinda scary actually. what if she wanted to hit me?

"i forgive you, i mean i understand why you said what you said. you were grieving, i would've reacted the same way you did. neither of us are at fault really, we were about to lose bella and after all, she's important to both of us. i just hope she can forgive me." i opened my arms and evie hugged me as she understood what i was going for.

after a while hades came back with bella. he was going back to the isle, bella wanted to thank him for what he did for her and tried to offer him a life here. after all, he wasn't as evil as he seemed to be since he willingly helped us. he might deny it but evie told us what really happened when they went back to the isle to get him.

"i should go say my goodbyes before they leave." mal was sitting on the edge of bella's bed but she didn't move. maybe she wasn't ready to say bye to her dad at all. "he'll be outside waiting." bella rubbed circles on mal's back before she got up and went to get the guards.

"maybe i can hitch a ride." uma said as bella went to call the guards to take hades back. we all looked at her confused, especially mal. "the isle is my home, someone needs to be there to protect it." uma avoided looking at mal. maybe she didn't want to leave mal, i mean after all they did get pretty close. like holding hands close. but if the barrier was going to be closed for good then she must go home and take care of it, if she really felt like that was for the best. i'm sure the barrier won't stay closed for good, bella wouldn't let that happen.

third person p.o.v

"well, then. you'll need your first mate." mal wanted to say 'no, stay uma. please stay.' but what came out instead was, "the isle will be in very good hands." she smiled at uma, if she really wanted to go back then mal wasn't going to get in the way. she didn't want to hurt uma more than she already had.

"can i go too?" celia asked getting up from where she was. "i wish i could be in both places." celia went to stand next to uma and harry.

"uma, i'm sorry. you deserve so much better than that." mal didn't want to say goodbye but she had too. uma had made up her mind.

"i guess i'm going too." gil let go of jay's hand and walked towards uma and harry. "what? why?" mal asked. "yeah, why?" jay asked his boyfriend.

"jay, i love being here with you but uma's right. the isle is our home, i have to go back for my siblings. if they can't be here with me then i shouldn't be here at all. they're young and they need me, i'm sorry jay bear." jay laughed at the embarrassing nickname gil had given him, he didn't want to cry but he was close to doing so.

"i understand." jay went to kiss gil, a goodbye kiss ya know.

"bye." all four of them said as they walked out of the room. "bye." mal turned around and was hugged by evie, she accepted the hug and let the tears roll down her cheek. jay had done the same but with carlos, gil was his first actual serious relationship and he couldn't believe it was over so quickly. they never even got to go on the adventures they planned out for themselves.

guess not everyone got their happily ever after after all.
