evie's p.o.v

"she's nowhere on campus." i said as mal and i entered audrey's dorm. we walked in on uma laying on audrey's bed while reading her diary and celia going through audrey's jewelry. woah, great job looking guys, i'm sure finding audrey this way is much easier.

"found her diary, and dang, did you guys ruin her life." uma said to mal. "okay, so did you find anything in there we don't already know? or?" mal right now isn't the time to be snarky. "she hangs out at fairy cottage. you know, where flora, fauna, and maryweather hid her mom from your mom." uma that last part wasn't really necessary, but this could mean she was there.

"yes, haha. the irony is not lost on me."

"okay, how do i look?" celia asked. i turned around to look at her. she was covered in jewelry. jewelry that wasn't hers. "okay the bling stays here." i told her before she even thought about taking it. "but she's bad." "and we're not." as much as celia looked beautiful in those jewels, i had to be an example and remind her that stealing isn't okay. no matter how evil the owner of that jewelry is.

after celia put everything back we left auradon prep and headed towards my place. it was a short walk but it felt like a long one with the awkward silence.

"i really hope they found bella." i said as we approached 'evies 4hearts'. we've never really gone long without seeing each other. even when we got into arguments we would check up on one another until we made up.

we walked in and found dizzy and the twins asleep. audrey was either here or her spell made its way here. she better not have been here, she's not welcomed inside.

"shh, it's okay." celia whispered to the sleeping dizzy before covering her and the twins with a blanket. "don't worry dizzy, we can fix this. and once we do, they're gonna let all the kids come from the isle. so, happy dreams." im glad dizzy had someone like celia by her side back on the isle. it was like mal and i.

then we heard a noise coming from the back. it was a quite little yelp that made us all go check on who it was. i mean who else could be here? when we left it was only dizzy and the twins.

we walked in and saw, bella! oh my god it was bella! okay we found her!

"bella." i whispered to myself once more, i walked over to her and crouched down. "bella! wake up!" i tried to wake her but she continued to sleep.

"she's spelled. is she not a fast learner?" uma asked mal. i will ignore her insult as i had other things to worry about. such as waking up my girlfriend. "she's emotionally involved." mal whispered as if i couldn't hear her. "well in that case, she should be able to wake her up." i turned to look at uma, how? i just tried and she wouldn't wake up.

"true loves kiss? works every time?" oh right. "well, we haven't actually used the L world yet." i was scared of telling bella i loved her. what if she only liked me and didn't like love me. "lesbians?" uma joked, though this wasn't the time for jokes. i leaned down to kiss her but i remembered i had an audience.

"can we be alone?" i asked them. they looked at each other and walked out. now time to do this. you got this evie. just kiss her and she'll wake up. probably. hopefully.

there i kissed her. i did it but she didn't wake up. fuck, oh fuck. i felt myself tear up, i should go. i should've known better. fuck fuck fuck okay i'm leaving now. i turned to walk out when she suddenly called for me.

"evie?" i quickly turned to look at her. oh fuck i did it, she woke up. so she does love me! wait no, i'm still mad at her. i mean how could she even think about closing the barrier for good? evie right now isn't the time, just be happy she does in fact love you.

"hey babe, what were you doing here sleeping?" i asked her as she got up. "right well, i was at home getting ready for the party. i saw your text and tried calling you, you didn't answer. then i went to tell ben what you texted me. after that, i went to look for my parents. i couldn't find them so i went to check on ben... that's when i saw a monster in his room and i ran all the way here. i thought you'd be in here but once i stepped inside i felt sleepy and i knocked out." bella explained what had happened and one thing i didn't understand was, she saw a monster? does she mean audrey?

"evie, i love-" bella was cut off by pieces of wood being placed on the windows? wait we're being trapped in!

"we're trapped!" i heard celia scream from the other room. i grabbed bella's hand and ran out to join the other girls. how did audrey know we're here? don't tell me that fucking scepter is all knowing.

"are you guys okay?" i asked as we entered the room. mal could fix this right? she was full of magic after all...

"you've caused my friends pain and fear, we've had enough now disappear!" nothing happened... were we really stuck in here with no way out? "you guys, i'm sorry my spells aren't working. audrey's magic is getting stronger." mal was able to take down her mom once, the mistress of all evil, audrey is no where near as bad as maleficent. how is she getting stronger?

"you've caused our friends pain and fear, we've had enough now disappear!" uma and mal had intertwined their hands and began to say the spell together. just like at the coronation, the whole 'friendship is magic' thing worked again. the boards disappeared and we weren't boarded up anymore. what happened between the two when i wasn't here?

"i guess my shell likes you." uma said as she took out the ember. "why don't you hold on to that?" she handed mal the ember. had they finally put their differences away after months of being at each other's throats? yes!!

"hey, it's the guys!" celia pointed out as she looked through the door. finally, what took them so long.
