"what took you so long?" uma asked mal as they regrouped and headed to the barrier. "hades is not an easy person to negotiate with." celia answered for mal. "what did you promise him in return for getting his ember?" jay asked, mal didn't know what to say and neither did celia.

"we'll discuss that later. by the way, where are our bikes?" mal asked as she took notice of the lack of bikes. "the kids who took them crashed them." mal was not very fond of this as she loved her bike, bought it with her own money and didn't steal it.

they reached barrier and jay opened it up with the key he had from the limo. now to find a way to get across. contrary to popular belief, there were two buttons to open up the barrier not just one.

"what now? you're gonna turn into a dragon and fly us over?" uma asked, which actually sounded like fun to the others. now they wanted mal to turn into a dragon and let them fly on her back. "don't be ridiculous, we can swim back." this did not bring joy to them. "hades said the ember can't get wet or else it won't work, remember?" celia reminded mal who groaned in response.

"here hand it over, if we do swim back i can take it. i know how not to get it wet." uma extended her hand for mal to give her the ember. "no, i am not trusting you with this." mal held up the ember and turned to look away from uma. she knew better than to trust her. celia however trusted uma and took the ember from mal.

"that was like taking candy from a baby." she said as she handed uma the ember. "hey!" mal turned to look at uma again. "look if mal won't give us a ride on her back, i can take us back. after all i do have 8 arms." with that uma jumped into the water, which earned her a scream from mal.

"girl calm down, it's safe with me." uma said once she rose from the water. her shell necklace was glowing, she opened it and inside was the ember. she grabbed harry and gil and they seemed excited. it's not everyday you get to ride an octopus. celia jumped in the water and uma caught her before she actually touched the water.

"that was fun! you guys should try it!" celia told the others as she was in uma's grip. jay and carlos looked at each other and shrugged. they did as celia had done and jumped in, uma catching them before hitting the water.

"come on mal, we don't have much time." evie said to mal as she let uma grab her. "fine, and only because if i turned into a dragon the people of auradon will notice and go into an even worse panic mode." mal let uma grab her too and off they went. uma got them back to auradon in no time.

riding an octupus was so fun, even mal enjoyed it.

"they're asleep." mal said once they arrived back to auradon, specifically auradon prep. "i can't get ben." carlos said as tried calling ben from his phone. "i can't get bella or doug." evie put her phone away as her panic grew.

"the signals out." jay stated as he looked at his phone. they couldn't reach anyone and they didn't know where everyone was.

"is that auradon prep?" celia asked, she hadn't seen the school yet. oop. "yeah, and when everyone wakes up you're gonna love it." carlos told her. he was in charge of guiding the new vk students around auradon prep next school year. he couldn't wait.

"carlos!" everyone turned around to see who was calling carlos' name. no one else was around them. they looked down and saw dude running as fast as his little dog legs could.

"dude? do you know what happened here?" carlos asked picking him up. "yep! audrey showed up and put everybody to sleep. and then she turned some of them to s-"

"guys!" evie got their attention as she walked towards a statue. "hannah turned to stone." "yeah exactly." dude said as carlos put him down.

"okay everyone, stay on your toes." jay said as he looked around, you never know when audrey would come back. "look since we're here let's check the school." uma said as celia, harry, gil and her were ready to go into the school.

"no. audrey went straight for the crown, so i think it's safe to assume she's gonna go to beast castle." mal was right, but audrey has already gone there. also, what a weird name for a castle, beast castle. sounds dumb. "that's where we'll go."

"says who?" "says me." mal really thinks she the leader of everything and everyone. "says you and that's suppose to mean something to me?" well uma wasn't wrong. she had a point, mal wasn't really in a position to tell her what to do. god there was so much sexual tension between the two. "guys!" everyone turned to look at evie and they looked down as she gave them the stare. the stare that a mother gives you to warn you.

soon they were at the castle and no one seemed to be here. it was empty, or so they thought.

"bella!" "ben!" carlos and evie called for their partners but got no response. "ben could be asleep anywhere." carlos said with panic in his voice. "or turned to stone." celia pointed out, evie simply covered her mouth with her hand let's try not to upset carlos or anyone for that matter. "ben!" carlos calles out again, not getting a response yet again.

"i got a scent, very pungent cologne, easy to track. follow me people." dude said, woah the dog might save the day, for ben that is. "woah that's very good dude." "fyi, i give great cuddles too." okay not the time pup.

"really? i never had a pet growing up." gil said as they began to follow dude. "hold up, what's this?" uma asked pointing at the claw marks on the wall. carlos went over to examine them. "these have never been here before." he was even more worried now. did audrey unleash some beast on ben and that's why there's no one in the castle?

"follow me!" dude said again and led them to a giant door. "ben?" carlos called out again hoping that ben was behind the giant doors. he wasn't...

they walked in the room and checked behind the suit of armor statues, maybe ben or bella were behind them.

"bella! ben! if you're hiding you can come out! it's us! bella, it's me evie!" evie called out once more hoping that bella would come out. she didn't and neither did ben. if they weren't here then where were they?

"i believe we're being challenged." harry tapped uma as one of the suit of armors moved. shit was freaky. "let's split up and look for audrey." uma ignored what harry said, no one else noticed the armor moving.

"that makes absolutely no sense, unless you give me my ember she's gonna spell you." mal said pointing at her shell necklace. "your ember? you mean hades ember."

"girls!" harry yelled finally getting their attention. they looked at what he was pointing at and they finally took notice of the moving armor. "we have a situation here."

"you like a prince carlos? how about a knight in shining armor? or knights?" the suit of armor said, well it was audrey who was speaking but the suit of armor was her vessel to get the message across.

they were able to defeat the army of armor. jay and gil were so excited that they hugged, which ended with gil quickly kissing jay on the lips. oh right, they started dating behind their friends backs. yep. they forgot to tell their friends, jay was spoken for after all.

"what was that?" carlos asked. "did we miss something? when did y'all become a thing?" uma asked. "like a week after we the cotillion." gil answered for him and jay. "okay cool, one thing though. why are just finding out?" mal asked. did they not think their friends would be okay with it? after all, almost all of them are gay. "it's cause uma and mal hate each other, so we thought this was going to cause trouble for us." "okay babe, how about you just let me answer the questions from now on." jay said pulling gil towards him.

"oh you guys, we would never be against you two dating. right guys?" evie looked over at uma and mal with the same stern mom look. "right of course." uma and mal answered in union. "now, time to find my girlfriend." evie said heading out. the pile of armor gave her the creeps.

"you mean find audrey and put a stop to her evil doing." harry said as he followed behind her. celia and dude right behind them.

"you know you could've told us." mal said to jay, "i would never be against it. just because mal and i are at each other's throats doesn't mean you guys have to stop stop being in each other's throats." uma added. "yay!" gil said as he took jay's hand in his and left the room. "you couldn't of worded it differently?" carlos asked before he followed after them. now it was just uma and mal. they just stared at each other before running out the door to catch up with their friends.

"okay so where does audrey live? where does this cheerleader bunk down?" uma asked once she and mal caught up with the group. "actually she's still in the dorms." evie stopped and answered her question. also she didn't know where to go exactly.

"you're right, because of summer school." this earned them a laugh from harry. "no wonder she wants revenge, summer school? poor gal." "we have summer school." gil reminded harry, this made him shut up. thank you gil.

"okay the guys and i will go look for ben and bella. you four will go look audrey, meet back at evie's in two hours. okay?" carlos told the group. he didn't care if they wanted to or not, he was telling them what to do because he was tired of all this fighting.

"okay, once you find bella tell her to meet me at my place." evie said to carlos before they all split up. here goes nothing.
