evie's p.o.v

"evie grimhilde, please join us up here." lumière said from where he stood with bella's father. i looked over at bella who was just as confused as me. her father then walked back down to where bella and her mother stood and whispered something to her.

"go they're calling you." mal whispered to me as she nudged me. "right, yeah." i stood up straight and walked up the stairs with my head high. if i'm being kicked out then so be it but at least i'll look good doing so.

however lumière stopped me before i actually got to leave. he's not going to say something now is he? i thought he was nice. no, instead he signaled for the trumpet players to play their tune. the one that introduced bella, ben and carlos.

"the future lady evie!" lumière said to the crowd as the music stopped. i'm sorry what? i'm not being kicked out, but rather being introduced as a lady of the court? oh my god what? no way, oh my god oh my god oh my god. what would my mother say if she could see me now?! would she be proud? oh who cares, bella's proud of me right? that's all that matters, and of course my friends too.

"you work it girl." lumière whispered to me as i got ready to walk back down the stairs. i laughed as i looked down at bella who was amongst our friends, looking up at me with such a beautiful smile.

"yeah evie!" mal yelled as they all began to applaud and cheer once i made my way down. bella's father greeted me before i made it down to the last steps though.

"hi."
"hi." it just dawned on me that i've never really had a word with bella's parents. i mean of course not, they only knew me as her friend not her girlfriend.

"you look beautiful." he said as he helped me down the last steps. bella's mother, belle, stepped towards us smiling, beauty really runs in the family huh? "thank you." i tried not to sound nervous, hopefully they didn't notice it.

"i know that we weren't exactly happy to see you and your friends around our kids last year, and i'm sorry if i made you or bella feel like it wasn't okay to be yourselves around us. maybe you're what bella needs so that she can open up to us even more." belle took my hands in hers and gave me a smile that really warmed my heart. bella was lucky to have such great parents.

bella soon walked up to us and excused us. her parents nodded and walked back to their spot. i could feel bella's heartbeat and it was beating so fast. she's still very nervous.

"hi."
"hey."

"how are you?" i asked her, though i think she meant to ask me that first. "uh, sort of like i'm gonna throw up." she admitted, i don't blame her i mean we are on a boat and she just came out to everyone. "yeah? okay. that's okay." i reassured her as we walked back to our friends.

"we're here with you. i'm here with you." the music slowly began to play again as bella hugged me. "well aren't i lucky to have you here with me." i felt her lift me a bit and spin me, i laughed as she finally put me down. who would've thought i'd ever end up going from an isle kid to an auradon girl, to being seen as only the evil queens daughter but now as evie, a fashion designer loved by millions. okay maybe not my millions, or not yet, but by people who once strongly disliked me. life was good. life is good.

we were all dancing and enjoying ourselves as the night went on, nothing could ruin this straight out of a fairytale moment, but it was cut short. it was fucking ruined, are you fucking kidding me right now?

a big wave hit us and got us all wet. well we assumed it was a wave, but oh how wrong were we. the water was calm after that, we thought that was it but something happened. well someone.

"jane?!" fairy godmother screamed out and we all turned to look at her.light blue smoke was surrounding the spot jane was standing at. an evil laugh was released as the smoke began to clear.

"mother it's fine, it's me your daughter jane. no need to be scared, i'm not going to just hurt you. i'm only hurting those who hurt me, which sadly includes you." her eyes were green and her hair was long with blue and pink streaks down it. her hair had the colors of her mother's iconic gown, the one she wore when she visited cinderella.

she turned to look at all of us and pointed at mal

"you did this to me, i knew magic was in me but you, you pushed me in the right direction. or should i say wrong direction? oh who cares, i know you don't. none of you care! well i'll make you care now!" she whispered something to herself and mal was hit with magic, which threw her into the water. holy fuck, what's going on?!

carlos, jay and i ran to the side she was thrown off of and we saw her struggling.

"she can't swim!" carlos yelled as everyone went into a panic. i turned to look at the crowd, please tell me this yacht had those water donut things that save people from drowning. i don't know what they're called but i know what they look like, it counts.

"i'll get her." uma ran to us and looked over to see where mal was. oh no, mal began to sink. fuck. i looked at uma, how can she save mal? then her necklace began to shine, isn't that her mother's? is she just going to jump into the water too?

and that's exactly what she did. she went into the water, but she took her time to come back up. i was ready to jump in to get them, but i have never swam in deep deep water. a lake yes, the ocean nope.

"look!" someone yelled and there i saw... an octopus tentacle arm thing? was that? no it can't... it is! it was uma in octopus form. well half human half octopus. she used one of her tentacles to bring mal back on to the ship, she placed her right next to me and jay. oh thank you so much uma.

though that wasn't many people's reactions. they screamed in terror despite uma just helping mal.

"no! you're not going to be the hero that easily!" jane yelled running over to look at uma. how has no one tackled her yet? never mind that, back to mal. jay was performing cpr on mal and my heart was beating out of my chest. please don't die on us mal, please don't die on us...

soon mal coughed up all the water and just like that she was alive! maybe dead inside but alive nevertheless. i wasn't paying attention to the scene behind me but mal took notice of it. jay and i turned to look at jane who was throwing spells at uma, uma was able to avoid them all but jane was getting angrier.

"i need to help her." mal got up but we stopped her before she went over to jane. "mal you almost died, you're not prepared to fight anyone." i told her but she shook her head.

her eyes went green and smoke began to surround her. this felt awfully familiar. it was like when her mom turned into a-

"dragon!" someone yelled. mal had transformed into a dragon, just like her mother... everyone was full of fear as they saw mal help uma against jane.
what had gotten into jane?

"no! you're not going to take me out that easily! i'm powerful too!" jane screamed. she was getting ready to attack again but carlos tackled her down. finally.

"get off of me! i'm not going down that easily!" carlos should've knocked her out, but he wasn't going to. i would gladly knock her out. thanks jane for ruining the night.

jane used her magic to push carlos off, his back hitting the railing. he let out a groan as ben rushed over to him. "you and i could've been something ya know, but you're into...boys." jane said getting back up. next to go after her was lonnie and jay, two of the strongest people i know.

"lonnie sweetheart, what are you doing? you and i could've been a power couple, but sadly you like jay. sucks he doesn't feel the same way. oh my is everyone from the isle gay? who would've guessed! anyways lonnie, better luck next time." lonnie was frozen in place, but jay was able to go under jane's radar.

i didn't notice, neither had jane, uma was guiding one of her tentacles up to the boat. she was going to surprise attack jane, nice.

"now do you have enough time for me?!" jane pointed at bella who was helping fairy godmother move lonnie from the position she was in. "you said you trusted me with whatever happened at the party! you didn't have enough time for me, didn't listen to me, now you're going to pay for this!" jane used her magic to levitate bella from the surface. at that same moment, uma had wrapped jane up and picked her up.

jane still had a free hand which she used to fight against uma and mal. mal using her fire breath on jane, making sure not to hurt uma and the people on the boat, and uma using her magic and her octopus form. jane still had bella up in the air, she was frozen. her eyes were white and her mouth was slightly opened. she looked possessed. how perful was fairy godmother's magic? was it capable of killing? did fairy gomother have magic left in her to help?

uma handed jane to mal who then tried to shake her, were they looking for something? then as if jane was a piñata, mal's spell book fell from the bag she had with her. ugh that bag did not go with that dress.

it seems like the book helped her with the magic because as soon as it left her, her magic seemed to calm down. she was still angry but not as powerful. how was that possible? how did she get mal's spell book?

the little magic she had left was still holding bella up, but as jane began to scream and squirm around, the magic grip on bella began to slip away. before i knew it, bella was falling from high above. she still looked possessed so when her body met the water, she sunk. she wasn't able to save herself and i was too afraid to dive in after her.

i felt my heart begin to rip as i stood there watching, not being able to do anything. mal put jane on the boat and she transformed back to her human self. she rushed over to me as uma went under the water to look for her. jane was fighting against the guards who were trying to hold her down. sis just stop, please just stop.

"look! i see them!" mal pointed at the light that was in the water. that light made the water rise up and drop off uma and bella back in the boat. of course uma was back to her human form though, or else she would've stayed in the water aha.

"bella!" i ran to my girlfriend as she was shivering from how wet and cold she was. once she hit the water the magic must've washed off. "i thought i lost you there." i whispered as i hugged her. she was so cold oh my gosh. "yeah, now i have to go deal with jane. before she hurts anyone else." bella and i looked over at jane who was being confronted by her mom. we walked over to them together, i wondered what bella was going to do with her. throw her in jail? they do have jail right? it's not like everyone here is always so nice and perfect.

"there! all done." fairy godmother put her wand away as jane fell into a deep sleep. fairy godmother turned to look at us as we walked up to them. she had used her wand to stop jane, but never used it to help her daughter. pity.

"but you girls did most of the work, thank you." fairy godmother spoke to uma and mal. "your power, together, helped the fire in her calm down. who knows when it'll be sparked again though." she joked, too soon though ma'am.

"i agree, uma, mal, i assure you that you will be rewarded for your acts of bravery tonight." bella sounded so sophisticated which kinda turned me on. she sounded so mature and hot. okay evie, calm down this isn't the time.

"guard, take her inside. lock her in a room until we find a way to deal a proper punishment for her actions. i want two guards outside the door, one inside the room and a few outside the castle in case anything else happens." bella explained to the guards what she wanted done and when. girl i'm ready to throw her down and-

"well, we're still young and in the middle of a party. let's enjoy what we have left of this evening." bella turned to look at all of us. we were all shaken by the event that took place, some of us more than other as we also spent half the day on the isle.

fairy godmother was leaving with the guards as the music began to play again. it was quite though, almost like we were nervous that if we began to have fun the night might turn bad again. i could tell bella also felt that if she they had fun, the fun would be ruined. i won't allow this.

"take my hand," i whispered to her. "time to restore their faith." bella laughed and kissed my cheek.

"looking back at yesterday, i thought i gave it everything. but still there's so much road ahead of me." "when i looked into your eyes, i guess i didn't recognize, who we are and all that we can be"

everything was fine now. everyone was happy and having fun, it felt like a happy ending. i wanted to believe it was going to be a happy ending, but when was life ever in our favor. at least for now i have bella, who was an amazing  girlfriend and a group of friends who would always be there for me. for now everything was great.
