I've noticed with many My Little Pony villains, a lot of them were ponies that have gone rogue. The best villains were definitely Tempest Shadow and The Storm King from the theatrical movie. Tempest was a tragic complex villain. A villain like Dark Heart, well, how could he compete against her? I made him simple enough to where he was an irredeemable villain that nobody would sympathize with, he was evil, plain and simple. His design was simple enough, and for an original My Little Pony villain, he at least stands out. The icing on the cake was when I showed it to a friend and he said it was nightmare fuel.
