I have always wondered what it's like to finish college and be thrilled to start working. Little did I know that the last year in college is a daunting task.

I have finished my internship of 400 hours in airlines and is currently compiling all the necessary documents and the journal. I was busy with the laptop in front of me when I received a text message from Billy.

I can't come to your place today. Have an extra hour of review of lecture for Neonatal Care.

I sighed and replied, "It's fine. Busy pa din ako sa internship portfolio ko."

Alright! I'll just call u when I get home! Love you!

I smiled and said the same thing before I put away my phone to finish my business. In a span of an hour, I was able to get it done and have it checked again before keeping it inside my bag.

I stretched my arms and glanced at the clock.

2:00pm, it says.

My stomach suddenly growled and I knew that I am in need of some good food.

I was about to stand up to take a look at the refrigerator but was halted by a knock on my door. Curious, I went to look who it was.

When I opened it, a poker-faced Tyler barged in with two box of doughnuts in his hands. He went straight to the couch and I followed him after closing the door.

"Uh, hello? Naligaw ka 'ata?" I asked and he rolled his eyes.

Yes. This is Tyler. The older brother of Tyrell. How did we become friends?

Well, it was a funny and embarrassing way to start a friendship.

I was with one of our classmates, Ysabelle Cojuangco, in the mall when out of the blue, a young man snatched my shoulder bag and Ysabelle started to freak out while I became speechless. A lot of people were already yelling as I slowly came to my senses.

As soon as I have gathered my thoughts, I found myself running after the snatcher. As I ran, I didn't notice the slippery caution as I approached the bakeshop where the snatcher ran to.

I was about to halt and maneuver to the other direction but was amazed when Tyler came into view and intentionally extended his leg to trip the snatcher who was only a few inches away from him. Just as we expected, the snatcher toppled over the shiny floor of the mall and mall-goers remained shock to what had transpired.

As the snatcher grunted in pain, Tyler removed the bag from his hands and handed it to me.

"I believe, this is yours." Those were Tyler's first words with me as he locked eyes with me.

Panting and out of breath, I nodded and took the bag from him.

"Than- thank you." I said and tried to catch my breath.

I was about to smile when suddenly, my knees wobbled due to tiredness and I collapsed instantly.

I was expecting to kiss the tiled ground but I felt were the strong arms of the guy who saved me.
His manly scent filled my nostrils and there, I surrendered to fatigue.

I woke up to see him inside the mall clinic and filled me in on the details. He said that the guy was being taken cared of by the police and Ysabelle was out to explain what happened to them.

Those were our first meeting which led to us being friends aside from being neighbors. What people don't know about Tyler is he is such a down-to-earth guy with a great sense of humor.

According to him, being pokerface is just a facade of what he truly is. He also don't want people to take advantage of him being too nice or too kind. Which I guess is quite true.

Ignoring me, Tyler opened a box of doughnuts and sweet scent of it infiltrated my nostrils. My stomach growled in response reminding me to feed it.

"Ayaw mo?" He asked and munched in on choco honey-dipped. I shook my head in disbelief and went to the kitchen to get us water before joining him at the sofa.

I immediately took a bite of Nutty Choco. I let the flavor sank into my tastebuds and suddenly, I felt satisfied.

I heard a chuckle from beside me and a quick click. My eyes flew open and I glared at him.

"Gandang-ganda ka na naman sa akin, ha!" I sneered and bit again on the doughnut.

"Ikaw na!" He laughed and took another doughnut from the box. This time, he took the Bavarian Cream while I looked at him. It was now his turn to ask, "Ano? Pogi ba?"

I rolled my eyes and swallowed the last of my doughnut before I drank on the water. I picked Choco Frosted and delved into its goodness.

"So, ano ang problema?" I asked and he sighed before confiding in me.

I was so sleepy when Sir Marsden began discussing about Pediatric Issues when I felt my phone vibrating inside my pocket.

As I make a quick glance at our professor, I carefully pulled out my phone and hid it between the pages of my book. I was thankful that I am seated at the back so I can occasionally check my phone for messages.

I grinned when I saw who it was.
Suddenly, I can't wait for this class to end.
