Today was the day! Liz was finally getting out of the hospital. She was so excited to get out of the place that reminded her of what happened. Matt and Gabby started packing up her stuff as the nurse took her iv out. Gabby walked over and grabbed liz's crutches and helped her out of the bed. Liz was about to change when she looked over to matt and said

"Uh um.... can you step out in the hallway."

"Oh! Yeah" he said with a laugh.

Liz began taking off her hospital gown. As she took it off she saw all the bandages. Her whole back and stomach was covered. She quickly threw on her clothes trying not to look at them,and Gabby and Matt came back in and helped her out the room. As they where walking to the elivator Liz saw dr. Halstead. She walked over and said

"Thank you so much Will...for everything" as she hugged him

"Your welcome....feel better lizzie" will said with a smil

They finally got to the elivator and outside. Liz stopped for a second and smelled the fresh air and then Matt helped her in the car. As they drove Gabby turned around to liz and said

"Hey me and matt have shift and we arent gonna leave you at home cause you might fall so can you come to 51 with us today?"

"Yes! I would love to" liz said excitedly

"She only wants to go because Otis is there." Matt said laughing

"Shut it Matt" liz said laughing

They pulled up to the fire house and helped liz out of the car. They all walked into the apparatus floor where severide and cruz where cleaning out the truck. Kelly turned and saw liz and said

"Hey...dont you look great!" He said

Cruz turned and noticed

"There she is!" Cruz said

Liz walked over on her cruthches and hugged both of them. Then all of a sudden Otis ran out of the kitchen door and picked Liz up and kissed her and said

"God I've missed you georgeous"

"I missed you to" she said as she kissed him back.

Severide looked at Matt with a confused look. He walked over and asked

"So how long and why has Antonio not killed him yet"

"1. About 2 weeks and 2. I dont know"  matt said laughing.

Otis carried liz into the kitchen while Gabby grabbed her crutches and followed them. Otis walked in with liz in his arms and said

"Look who it is"

Everyone yelled

"Hey lizzie!"

"Hey you guys" liz said

Otis sat liz down on the couch and sat right beside her with his arm around her. Chief boden walked in and said

"Hey! There's our girl"

"Hey chief" liz said

Gabby walked in and sat her crutches against the wall.

"Thanks Gab" liz said.

Liz turned back to Otis and kissed him  and leaned her head on his shoulder. Herman looked at them and said

"Hey you two get a room!!"

Otis turned shot Herman a glare,so did liz. As soon as liz went to kiss Otis again the bells went off...

"Ambulance 61,truck 81,squad three, three car collision."

Everyone started gearing up and running out the doors and getting on the rigs. Otis turned to liz and said

"I love you"

"I love you to be careful" liz said concerned

Chief turned to liz and said

"If you need anything just call me"

"Thanks chief" liz said yawning

Liz layed back on the couch and started to fall asleep when all of a sudden she felt a cold wet nose touch her face. Liz jumped as she looked down at an adorable little dog. She looked at his collar that read "pouch". The dog jumped on the couch with liz and curled up beside her and they both fell asleep. As everyone got back to the house they walked in and saw Liz curled up on the couch with pouch. Everyone stood around and whispered

"Awwww"

Gabby broke through the croed and said

"Let's move her to my bed."

Otis woke pouch up and picked Liz up and carried her to Gabby's bed. She stirred a little then pouch jumped into bed with her. Gabby looked at her and smiled and the three of them walked off and let her sleep. After a while liz woke up and yawned. She grabbed her cruthches and walked in the kitchen on them.

"Hey guys" liz said

"Hey lizzie" Otis said with a smile

"Hey liz, Antonio is coming by to pick you up he's getting off early. I think he said your going to his appartment and he has a suprise for you."

"Ok" liz said excited but sad because she wanted to stay with Otis.

"Hey can you come here for a sec." Otis said

"Yeah" liz said a little confused

She hobbled in there on her crutches and Otis picked her up and carried her to his bed and sat her down. Otis and liz stared into eachothers eyes and said

"I love you, and I cant wait to go on that date we where talking about." Liz said

"I cant wait either" Otis said.

Then they let all there worries melt away as they just layed there and kissed. After a while Antonio walked in.

"Hey Gab" Antonio said

"Hey Antonio" Gabby said

"Where is liz.....wait where is Otis." Antonio said walking quickly through the fire house,looking for the two of them.

Finally Antonio found liz's cruthches on the wall in the hallway. And started to get more worried of what those two where doing. All of a sudden Otis came around the corner with Liz in his arms. Otis  stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Antonio.

"Hey Antonio .....I....we where just looking for her crutches." Otis sad

"Yeah I'm sure you where.....liz you ready."

"Yeah uh bye Otis" she said giving him a kiss.

Antonio handed liz her crutches and helped her out of the fire house.

"Bye everybody......bye Gabby." Liz said

"Bye liz" everybody said.

Antonio helped liz to the car and started to drive to his appartment.

"So I heard you had a suprise fir me.....what is it what is it what is it." Liz said

"Wow you sound like when we where young and it was Christmas morning."Antonio said with a laugh

They pulled up to his appartment and Antonio carried liz up the stairs. When he opened the door there was a banner in his living room that said" Welcome home Aunt liz". And infront of it stood her niece and nephew Diego and Eva.

"Aunt lizzie!!!" Eva and Diego screamed.

"Hey guys!!" Liz said as the kids ran up and hugged her.

"Hey help aunt liz to the couch." Antonio said

The kids helped liz to the couch while Antonio grabbed groceries out of the car and started cooking liz's favorite meal. Antonio helped liz to the table and sat the plate down infront of her.

"Oh my gosh this looks amazing" liz said.

"Why thank you"Antonio said with a smile

After they ate it started to get late so Antonio put the kids to bed and came back out and sat down. Liz tried to keep her eyes open and talk to Antonio but she kept falling asleep.Antonio kissed her on the forehead and went to bed.liz began to dream. She dreamed that she was laying on the ground bleeding out and  all of her friends and family where just standing there and they left her all alone to die. Liz woke up quickly with a tap on the shoulder and she screamed.

"Hey hey listen it's ok it's ok I'm here." Antonio said as he wrapped liz in a hug and

"No no it's not it's not.....everybody left  me I was alone....you left me." Liz said

Antonio's heart broke as his sister curled up in a ball in his lap and cried  that she was all alone. Most of all it hurt that she thought Antonio would leave her.

"I'm here look I'm here i wont ever leave you again I'm so sorry." Antonio said

"Just hold me ....dont leave please dont leave" liz said.

Antonio knew this was gonna be hard for liz but he also knew she was a dawson and no matter what they would always be there for her. Antonio and liz sat there together until liz finally fell back asleep. He kissed her on the forehead and whispered in her ear I'm right here and went back to bed.
