Liz woke up to a nice breeze filling the room. She sat up slowly and saw that Otis had opened the patio door and was sitting out there looking at the beach drinking coffee. Liz smilled and got up and put on her clothes that where tossed on the floor. Liz walked out onto the balcony and kissed him.

"Good morning beautiful"

"Good morning back.... How long have you been up"

"A while... The sun was really bright and it woke me up"

"Oh then how come I didn't see it.. "

"Because you had your face buried in my chest" Otis said smiling

"Oh yeah." Liz said laughing

"You want some coffee"

"Yeah I'm about to get some"

"No no I'll get it I want you to look right out there(Otis pointed to a spot in the ocean) see them" Otis said pointing at some dolphins

"Wow they're beautiful"

"Yeah I've been watching them all morning... I'll be right back with your coffee"

Otis went inside and grabbed Liz a cup and fixed it just how she liked it, while Liz sat on the porch watching the dolphins.

"Your coffee my lady"

"Why thank you good sir" Liz said laughing

Otis picked her up out of the chair sat down and put her on his knee.

"This is heaven" Liz said closing her eyes and sitting backwards onto otis's shoulder.

"Every time I'm with you it's like I'm in heaven" Otis said kissing Liz on the neck

"Umm you wanna go inside... It's a little bright out here" Liz said with a grin

"Oh yeah" Otis said picking Liz up and carrying her into the room and closed the sliding door.

Otis closed the curtains and climbed into bed.

(Back in Chicago)

By this time Antonio was hard at work. He was undercover for a drug bust that the team had been working on.

"Hey can you hear me" Antonio said into his wire

"Yeah your good... What's the word to move in on" Kevin said

"Ummm..... Vacation"

"Alright everyone get in your places" Voight said into the radio

"Alright I'm going in"

Antonio walked up to the house and banged on the door.

"Hey open up Mason I know your in there"

"Get In here Alex" The man said dragging Antonio into the house

"Hey watch it" Antonio said pushing the guy off of him

"Listen there has been a little change in plans.... I don't have the product here" Mason said to Antonio

"What! You told me you had it here"

"Well I dont..... That's not  a big problem  is it Alex? " Mason said

"No... No I just want my product"

"You'll get it now follow us" Mason said ushering Antonio through the door.

Antonio and everyone else started to get nervous.

"Boss you want us to move in" Jay said  waiting nervously in his car with Erin

"No everyone hold your positions... We need to wait until he makes the deal"

"10-4"

Antonio got in the car and Mason and his guard drove them to an old abandoned warehouse.

"Come on" Mason said getting out of the car

Antonio didn't have a good feeling about this, something didn't sit right about this place.

"Alright where is the stuff! " Antonio said walking into the warehouse

"He's funny aint he" Mason said to his guard in a joking way and then pointing a gun at Antonio

"What the heck Mason"

"How long have you been screwing me huh! "

"I don't know what your talking about! "

"I know your a cop... Not a very good one either"

"Mason your insane I'm not a cop!.... I think your freaking out you need a vacation"

"MOVE NOW! " Voight yelled into the radio

Everyone sped towards the building and kicked down the door.

"FREEZE CHICAGO PD! " Jay yelled

Mason grabbed Antonio and held the gun to his head.

"PUT YOUR GUNS DOWN OR I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL SHOOT! "

"You know we can't do that... Just put the gun down nobody has to get hurt!"

"I SAID PUT THEM DOWN OR I'M GONNA BLOW HIS FREAKING HEAD OFF!! "

"ok ok stand down"

Mason took the and pointed it at Erin and was about to shoot but Antonio elbowed him in the gut. A gunshot echoed loudly in the building and Mason fell to the ground.

"Is everybody ok! " Voight yelled

Antonio was still staring at Mason laying on the ground.

"Antonio you good man? "

Antonio turned around and looked at everyone. For some reason he looked very pale. Antonio lifted his hand to his stomach and looked down at it. His hand was covered in blood, and he fell backwards.

"ANTONIO!! " Erin screamed and everyone rushed over.

"Hold on man we're getting help..... Call and ambulance! " Voight said running over and started applying pressure to Antonio's stomach.

"We have an officer down at 8793 briddle ln..... Roll an ambo NOW! " Jay yelled into his radio.

It seemed like everything was happening in slow motion for Antonio.

"Hey man stay with me ok look at me" Voight said, and Antonio glanced up at him

"I can't"

"Yes you can... Listen you don't want me to tell Liz and Gabby your a quiter do you" Voight said giving him a smile

"I'm sorry"

"HEY! dont do that Antonio your gonna be fine..... Gabby and Brett are on the way! "

"Lizzie"

"I'm gonna call Liz ok.... Just hold on"

The ambulance finally arrived and Gabby and Brett rushed in.

"OH MY GOD TONI" Gabby said running over crying

"Baby look at me hey handsome.... Hold on we're gonna fix  you up good as new" Brett said crying and getting gaws out of her bag

"I'm sorry"

"Don't apologize its not your fault" Gabby said

"Alright get the IV"

Gabby put in the IV and Brett packed his wounds.

"Alright help us get him on the Gurney! " Gabby said to Voight and Jay.

Gabby and Brett rushed him out of the building and into the ambulance.

"Alright toni stay with me" Gabby said inspecting his gunshot"

"Lizzie... Don't tell her"

"Toni don't worry about that right now ok just stay with us"

Brett pulled up to the Ed and they rolled him in.

"What happened! " Will said walking quickly by Gabby

"He has a gun shot to the abdomen... His stats are down... Hes lost a lot of blood... The bullet didn't go all the way through. " Gabby said as her hands shook.

"Take him to bag dad! " Maggie yelled

Antonio looked around at all the people around his bed slowly.  He could only see blurs but he saw Gabby  looking down at him, brett, and will.

"Alright transfer on my count.... Now!"

They moved him onto the bed and started working on him. April started to cut his shirt off and will started to asses  the GSW.

Gabby and Brett stepped out of the room andand just watched as they worked on him. All Gabby could see was Liz all over again. She had just gone through this she didn't want to go threw it again, but she knew Antonio was strong and he wouldn't give up without a fight.

"Maggie tell dr.rhodes we're on the way up" Will said rolling Antonio out of the room, and Gabby ran to Antonio's side and followed them to the elevator.

"Hold on Toni your gonna be fine ok.... I love you"

They took him in the elevator and as soon as the doors closed Gabby collapsed to the floor and put her head in her hands.

"Not again.... I can't do this again" She sobbed.

Brett ran to her and helped her up and they hugged each other tightly. They both walked back out to the waiting room where all of intelligence was. They all stood up when they saw her and Brett walk in, and Erin came over and hugged her.

" How is he" Voight asked trying to hide his hands that where covered in blood.

"We don't... We don't know yet they just took him up to surgery" Gabby said crying

"I'm so sorry Gabby, and Brett"

"What happened! " Gabby demanded

"The guy pointed his gun at Erin and Antonio elbowed him and the guy shot as he fell down" Kevin said

"This is my fault I should have just shot" Erin said crying into her hands

"It's not your fault if you would have shot then he would have killed Antonio" Gabby said

All of 51 rushed into the waiting room and Matt ran over to Gabby and wrapped her in a hug.

"Hey it's ok.. It's alright."

"I can't do this again Matt.... I can't take it"

"Look at me we are all here.... You are the strongest woman I know...you don't have to do this alone"

"I... I'm gonna call Liz and tell her what's going on"

"Ok"

(In Hawaii)

Liz looked over and smiled at Otis.

"Your adorable you know that" Otis said smiling back

"I know" Liz said laughing as Otis grabbed her and pulled her close and kissed her neck.

Liz's phone started ringing and Liz rolled her eyes.

"You've got to be kidding me"

"Just hold on" Liz said grabbing her phone.

(On the phone) 

"Hello? "

"Hey lizzie" Gabby said crying

"Gabby what's wrong" Liz said sitting up and pulling the sheet up

"I um.. I" Gabby couldn't get the words out of her mouth

"Gabby hunny calm down and just tell me what's wrong ok"

"Antonio.... Antonio was hurt"

"Ok how bad"

"He.... Was shot on a drug bust... They just took him into surgery"

"WHAT.. Ok uh oh my God... What do you need me to do"

"Nothing you can't do anything..... I'll call you if you can do anything or when he gets out"

"Gabby are you sure I... I can come there or... "

"No Liz stay there... I'll call you back Dr. Rhodes is coming. "

"Ok... I love you"

"Love you to bye"

Liz dropped her phone and just held her head in her hands.

"Liz what's wrong.... Liz"

"Uh...Antonio is uh... "

"It's ok take your time"

"Antonio got shot on a bust"

"Oh my God Lizzie..... We can leave now if you want to"

"No... No...Gabby said to stay here and she'd call me when he got out of surgery. "

"Look at me he's gonna be ok.... It's Antonio he's the tuffest guy I know"

"Yeah.... I just wish I was there"

"I know... I know" Otis said holding Liz tightly

(Back at the hospital)

"How is he" Gabby said in a panick

"He's out of surgery and he's in the ICU....we retrieved the bullet... But he did lose a lot of blood so he is very confused and tired. "

"Can we see him"

"Only two at a time"

"Thank you"

Gabby and Brett followed Dr. Rhodes to Antonio's room. They both walked in and Antonio was laying there staring at the ceiling. Both of them immediately started crying after they saw him.

"Hey Toni" Gabby said walking over and running her fingers through his hair

"Where am I"

"Your at the hospital" Brett said grabbing his hand

"Hey beautiful" Antonio said giving her a weak little smile

"Hey handsome" Brett said laughing a little

"You scared me Toni" Gabby said

"Sorry... Hey... Where's Liz"

"She's on her honeymoon remember"

"Oh yeah with.... Otis" Antonio said sort of annoyed

"Yeah.... Do you want me to call her"

"Yeah"

Gabby grabbed her phone out and dialed Liz's number.

(On the phone)

"Hello"

"Somebody wants to talk to you" Gabby said handing Antonio the phone

"Hello? "

"Hey Lizzie"

"Toni!!... Oh my God!!.... How are you feeling bud"

"It hurts pretty bad....i miss you"

"I miss you too.... I wish I where there"

"I wish you where too"

"I'm sorry....ill be back in a couple of days though.... I can't wait to see you"

"5 more minutes.... He needs his rest" Dr. Rhodes said

"Ok well I'm gonna let you go so you can rest..... I love you"

"Love you to Lizzie.... Bye"

"..... Bye"

Gabby hung up the phone and kissed Antonio on the cheek.

"I love you.... Now get some sleep"

"Love you to"

"I love you....ill be right outside ok"

"Ok I love you" Antonio said as Brett leaned down and kissed him.

Brett and Gabby walked out of the room and closed the door.

"Hey I'm gonna stay here tonight can you tell chief I won't be in for shift tomorrow"

"Yeah.... Im gonna stay with you...i don't wanna leave you up here by yourself either. "

"Gabby if you want to go home.... "

"No I left when Liz was here and I wasn't here when they took her into surgery now Im not gonna do it again because I have hated myself for it. "

"Ok... Well I look forward to your company"

"Yeah... I'm gonna go tell chief"

Gabby walked back into the waiting room and filled everyone in on what was going on.

"Chief can me and Brett take off tomorrow... We where gonna stay up here tonight. "

"Of course.... If you need anything I'm only a phone call away.... We all are"

"Thanks chief" Gabby said hugging him

"Hey Matt I'm gonna stay up here with Brett tonight"

"Ok.... Do you want me to"

"No... No you need to go to work"

"Alright.... I love you"

"Love you to" Gabby said kissing Matt

Gabby sat back down with Brett as everyone started to head home.

(Back in Hawaii)

"Wow! " Otis said as he saw Liz walk out of the bathroom in her black bikini.

"You like it.....i don't know if I do or not"

"I love it.... Why don't you like it

"I don't know I just don't like all of these scars" Liz said pointing to the ones on her back and stomach

"You look beautiful.... And I love every inch of you"

"I love you... Let's go"

"Love you to...and yeah I'm ready to get in that water"

"Oh yeah... A break from the cold is great. "

Liz and Otis headed out to the beach and swam out in the ocean.

"This is beautiful"

"It's almost as beautiful as you" Otis said swimming closer

Otis went under the water and Liz looked around confused. Then all of a sudden she felt something under her legs and then she was lifted up out of the water.

"Oh my god" Liz screamed

"I got you now" Otis said laughing and spinning around.

"Don't you do it! " Liz said as Otis squated down

Otis leaned back and dropped Liz into the water. Once Liz surfaced she swam over to Otis and jumped on his back and put him in the headlock.

"Hey lizzie.... Can't breathe"

"Should've thought about that before you dunked me" Liz said letting go

"Oh yeah... Your really gonna get it now" Otis said as Liz started to swim quickly back to the beach.

Otis swam after her and then chased her onto the beach.

"You can't catch me" Liz taunted

"Oh I think I can" Otis said finally getting a hold on Liz's arm.

He put his arms around her stomach and picked her up. They both laughed uncontrollably and Otis carried her back to the beach towel. They both layed down and turned on the radio.

"Your crazy" Liz said a little out of breath

"You are to" Otis said raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah that's true...im gonna get some sun" Liz said laying back and closing her eyes

"Uh hey dude your blocking my sun" Liz said as she opened her eyes but then she saw Otis with his arms on either side of her.

"You still mind me blocking your sun"

"Not at all" Liz said with a smile as Otis leaned down and kissed her.

(Back in Chicago)

It was getting late and Brett was about to shut down, but Gabby was somehow wide awake.

"How Are you not tired"

"I've done this to many times..... Hospitals just have this affect on me I can't sleep in them. "

"Yeah I guess" Brett said yawning

"Here I'll go get us some coffee" Gabby said getting out if her chair

"Yeah thanks"

"No problem"

Gabby walked down to the cafeteria to get them both a coffee, and get some muffins. She sat down and waited for them to get her order.

"Hey Gabby" Will said walking over and sitting down with her.

"Hey"

"How's he doing"

"He's sleeping right now but he's doing ok"

"Thats good.... How are you"

"Well..... I feel like crap.... I can't keep doing this... No offense but I'm tired of seeing your face"

"That's ok I understand I hear that all the time.....listen I'll be here all night if you need me... You can do this Gabby"

"Thanks will"

"Dawson? " The barrista called from behind the counter with a bag in her hand

"Ive got to go get that coffee to Brett so she doesn't kill over... Thanks for talking with me"

"Anytime" Will said hugging her

Gabby walked up to the counter and thanked the girl and grabbed the bag. She walked back up to the waiting room to find brett passed out asleep in the chair.

"Hey Brett...i got you some coffee"

"Oh thank you....and you got muffins!!"

"Yeah... Don't eat those all at once you'll get a sugar high and you'll run around for a bit and then you'll pass out"

"It sounds like you've done this before"

"Yep.... When mom was in labour with Liz it seemed like we were gonna wait all night so me and Antonio went to the cafeteria and got some of these bad boys and we where on a sugar high for about an hour then we both passed out with sugar around our mouths" Gabby said laughing

"Yeah that's sounds like you two"

"Yeah we had a lot of fun.... And we taught Lizzie well. "

"Yeah Antonio talks about you guys a lot...he said you guys used to get in a lot of trouble"

"Yeah some of us more than others"

"Ohhh who? " Brett said excitedly

"Your not gonna believe this.... Lizzie"

"What!?.... I thought you where gonna say Antonio.... Or yourself... But not Liz"

"Oh no she was a little rebel.... Like this one time I remember she came home with a nose ring.... You should have seen mom and dads faces... And then Antonio got home" Gabby said laughing

"What did he do!? "

"He told her that if she didn't take it out he would rip it out.... Let's just say doors where slammed words where said and Antonios bluff got called." Gabby said laughing

"Wow... That has to be the worst thing she did right" Brett said sitting there in disbelief

"Oh no hunny far from it.... She locked herself in her room one night and she had her music blaring....so Antonio was yelling trying to tell her to turn it down and then he started smelling smoke so I see him back up and kick down Liz's door I hear screaming so I run into her room and she's sitting there with a half empty pack of cigarettes and Antonio is livid so he takes the cigarette out of her mouth, takes her I pod, walks into the bathroom and throws it in the toilet. " Gabby said laughing

"Oh my God.... Not Lizzie! "

"Yes Lizzie.... Oh and then she came home with this guy one night and they pull up on his motor cycle.. So Antonio doesn't like the guy already and it's 1 in the morning and Liz was supposed to be home at 10....so he waits on the couch till she comes in and is like where have you been and Liz said none of your business, and she was being really weird because she wouldn't come in the light...so he gets all offended and is like tell me where you where or your grounded.... So Liz gets mad and says your not my dad Antonio you can't tell me what to do and you can't ground me so pis off.... Antonio gets mad and started walking toward her to take her to her room, and she pulls out a switch blade... So Antonio backs up and has to talk her out of stabbing him and she started crying so then he pulls her into the light and she has a black eye a busted lip and she has bruses all over her"

"Oh my God"

"It gets worse.... So Antonio is so mad he could kill so he started asking her what happened and she said that that guy she was with tried to rape her and she got away but not without a fight... So the next day Antonio finds the guy locks him up,and he put him in a sell with a guy that was in there for assault. "

"Wow...lizzie did get in a lot of trouble and Antonio was insane... Well he still is insane. "

"Yeah... That's why she joined the marines.... Get away from all of the trouble"

"Well I'm glad it worked out"

"Yeah that girl was a mess but weren't we all" Gabby said thinking about all the stupid stuff she had done and shaking her hand.

"I know I was" Brett said laughing

"Hey ladies.... Antonio just wome up if you want to go in you should be allowed to stay in there all night" Will said walking up

"Thanks will" Gabby said patting his shoulder

Gabby and Brett walked into Antonio's room with big smiles.

"Hey babe" Brett said walking over and giving him a kiss

"Ewww..... Hey Toni" Gabby said laughing

"Hey.... What are you two laughing about? " Antonio asked suspiciously

"We where just talking about the old days"

"Yeah" Brett said trying to imagine Antonio throwing Liz's iPod in the toilet.

"Why are you looking at me like that..... What did you tell her Gabby" Antonio said even more suspiciously

"Well I may or may not have told her about some of the fights you and Liz got into when you where younger" Gabby said biting her bottom lip

"Oh no..... You didn't tell her about that night and the toilet did you"

"No I would.... "

"Yes she did"

"Thanks Brett"

"GABBY!!..... Brett I swear I did all of that out of love"

"It's ok...ive done worse" Brett mumbled

"What was that.... " Gabby said raising an eyebrow

"Nothing.... So how you feeling"

"Good.... I'm just tired"

"Yeah.... Do you feel like making a call"

"Yeah sure... Who?"

"Liz is probably worried about you"

"Yeah"

(On the phone)

"Hello"

"Hey toni.... How you feeling"

"It hurts pretty bad.... How are you"

"I'm sorry believe me I know how you feel.... And I'm fine we're having a great time"

"Good... So I have some bad news"

"What" Liz said suspiciously

"Gabby ratted us out.... She told Brett about when we where kids"

"Oh god which part"

"Your little rebel phase.... And she told her what I did about it"

"Oh my god im gonna kill her....let me talk to Brett real quick"

"I'm gonna put you on speaker"

"Ok Brett listen don't let what Gabby told you affect the way you look at me..... And Gabby I'll have you know had a rebel phase of her own. "

"Your good Liz..... And I would love to hear about it! " Brett said laughing

"So gabby..... "

"Alright..." Gabby said clicking the speaker button off and Antonio picked up the phone.

"She took you off speaker.... We can tell her about it later"

"Oh yeah Deffinatley..... (Liz said " Ok I'm coming" To Otis)... Well I've gotta go but i miss you and I can't wait to see you.... Please get better don't make me come home early"

"Ill try... I love you to lizzie bye"

"Bye"

Antonio hung up the phone and handed it back to Gabby.

"I think I'm gonna get some sleep" Antonio said yawning

"Yeah me to" Brett said also yawning

"I guess I'll try to get some shut eye to.... Here Brett you can have the couch and I'll sleep in the chair"

"Are you sure"

" Yeah go ahead.... Goodnight toni" Gabby said kissing Antonio's forehead and turning off the light

It had been a long awful day and they where all glad it was over. They all drifted off to sleep and where thankful to still have Antonio.

(Back in Hawaii)

"I'm freezing" Liz said snuggling in beside Otis

"Well then get the covers"

"That's better.... Do you think Antonio is gonna be alright"

"Of course.... It's Antonio... He is gonna be just fine baby"

"Yeah your right.... Now let's get some sleep"

"No objection here" Otis said turning off the lamp

"Love you"

"With all my heart" Liz exhaled

They both drifted off to sleep in eachothers arms. Liz and Otis only had a couple of days left on their honeymoon and they where both sad, but at the same time they where both relieved they missed their friends and family, especially Liz she couldn't wait to see Antonio. But she was glad to still have her brother and that thought could keep her at peace until she could see him.
