I DIDN'T DO IT!!

   Astrid's POV

I picked the man up and was surprised when I felt that he was about as light as a feather. I hauled him to his feet, yet instantly regretted it as his skin was wreathed in heat (oh, hey, that rhymed). I yelped, then not-so-gently set him down again. The sand around him was turning into glass, so I just decided to leave him there for a while.

Hiccup and Fishlegs were debating on how he wasn't burnt or killed from all the dragon's blasts.

"A little help here?" I grumbled. I hate feeling helpless. It makes me feel weak, but right now, desperate times call for desperate measures.

"Uh, yeah, sure," was Hiccup's response. He was distracted by the simple thought of not understanding. Maybe Odin was involved, as he seemed to be the only person to leave Hiccup speechless.

Shaking out of my stupor, I watched him walk over to the unconscious boy with a disbelieving face. Curious, I stepped up next to him and gasped.

I stepped back, gaping, my mouth opening and closing like a fish. I heard two pairs of footsteps behind me and a few little drops of saltwater on my head. Still speechless, I turned around, but snickered when I saw what Ruff and Tuff were about to do. They had their helmets filled with water and raised above Hiccup and I's heads, ready to Loki us, when they saw what we were gaping at. Tuff shook his head and yelled, "COOL!!" , attracting Snotlout and Fishlegs' attention.

They came over, Snotlout slightly delirious from his trip down Hookfang's throat and Fishlegs still mortified by the scene, but pondering about how the man wasn't burned.

"What?" a complaining Snotlout whined. Fishlegs whimpered and pointed at the strange yet creepy change to the unconscious man.

Snotlout's face fell. I'd say it was a funny expression, but we were all wearing it. A second later, when I turned back to gape, I felt cold water splash down on me, and I saw Hiccup spluttering as well, shaking his hair and attempting to blow to salty liquid off of his lips. I heard two mischievous voices yell, "LOKI!!" then laughing an a high five-ing noise. I angrily turned towards them to tell them off, but not before noticing he water had splashed onto Levi--I'm just call him that for now--and he was cooling down. He also developed a little smile for a split second and disappeared as quickly as it appeared, making me wonder if it was even there at all. I hesitantly touched his arm, and found that it was no longer scorching hot. I glanced at Levi's new...extensions. Two long, black, wings, layers of spikes as sharp as Stormfly's spines, and some scaly yet perfectly placed patches of dragon scales that were also a mesmerizing midnight color on his forearms, like arm guards.

I waved over my, said, dragon, Stormfly and gestured for her to pick up Levi.

Fishlegs' POV

As Stormfly picked up the guy in the strange outfit, I couldn't help but admire his new wings. There were a few very intricate designs on the blue-ish black-ish steel-like spines that looked like wave patterns.

I walked over to Meatlug and gave her a little pat on the head, still slightly entranced, and hopped on her back as the rest of the riders mounted up.

"TO THE COVE!!" The twins hollered.

"To the--" Snotlout started half heartedly, but was cut off by being taken into Hookfang's gullet like a poor fish...for the third time this week.

Hello.

It's me.

I am terrible at writing, and also updating.

I'll try harder next time. 😊
