It was a peaceful morning. Warm rays of sun beamed down on the two twins, warming them up even more than they were under their blankets. But it wsn't an uncomfortable heat in any way. Mint was gently tapped on the shoulder. She was already half awake because of the sun shining in her eyes so she quickly looked up and saw Ivelaya sitting on her bed ready to tap her shoulder again. Pepper was standing up next to her as if she had bet how many taps it would take to wake her sister up. 

     "What is it?" Mint grumbled looking at the two. 

     "You want to go on an adventure?" Ivee asked. She didn't need to say anything else. An adventure was exactly what she wanted. Together, all three girls prepared to leave at once. The twins decided not to ask Ivee what the adventure was, knowing it would be more fun if it stayed a secret. Since they didn't who what they were doing they packed just about everything someone could pack. They filled their inventories with food, tools, blocks, crafting items, and armor. They didn't put on the armor on though because it was a bit heavy and they didn't want to bake in the melting heat. They walked out the back door and kept heading strait from there. Unable to keep in the question, Mint asked; 

     "Soooo, where are we going?" She asked in almost a whisper. Ivee giggled. 

     "I'm glad you asked." She said, "Did you guys bring your picaxes?" 

     "Yeah, why?" Pepper asked a little comfused. 

     "We are going to, 'Old May City.' It is just a chunk away now." Ivee answered smiling. 

     "Why would we need our picaxes?" Mint asked with a bit of worry in her voice. 

     "We are going to dig under May Tower to see if a time capsules or something was left there by the kings and queens of the previous generations." After Ivee finished talking Pepper still had a few questions. 

     "Why do you think there is a time capsule or something?" Pepper asked. Ivee looked at Pepper and smiled. 

     "I read about a few ancient items that were lost during war. I'm guessing they were hidden by the king there because the May Tower was a place of safety and underneath it would be the perfect place to hide stuff. And if you are wondering, I was planning on going yesterday but I decided to see if you wanted to come along. They walked for a few minutes and soon saw the tops of buildings rising above the trees in front of them. 

     "We're here!" Mint yelled as she took off towards the city. Once Ivee and Pepper caught up to her, they saw her talking to a boy and girl about her age, who looked like they were waiting for someone. 

     "AJ!.. Davy!" Ivee shouted as she saw the two people. "Sorry for being late! It's good seeing you guys!" 

     "Aayyyyy!" The two shouted as they ran over to hug her. All three of them had big smiles on their faces. 

     AJ had short orange hair that stopped at her shoulders and a teal shirt. She wore grey pants and had light green eyes. 

     Davy had light grey hair and wore a dark grey hoodie for contrast. His pants were black and his eyes were dark red. On his hoodie was a white picture of a dragon's head and neck. 

     "We were worried you had forgotten like yesterday and we were about to walk back to camp." AJ said, trying to laugh away her previous anger. 

     "Sorry guys." Ivee said. "The twins showed up and they fell asleep before I could ask them to come."

     "At least there shouldn't be ant mobs." Davy said with a worried face as he tried to bring g out the positives. Quickly, they all shrugged it off and started walking into the abandoned city. Aunt Ev was right, the place really did feel haunted. the twins imagined the time when everything was turned into stone. 

     "I heard this place had been turned into stone. What's the story behind that?" Mint asked the solemn group as they walked silently through the empty streets. Ivelaya answered in a kind of respectful tone. 

     "A long time ago there were three heroes. Candy, Katy, and Chloe. After Candy left to explore, a villain no one had seen before, who went by the name of 'Dark Wing,' flew into May Tower and destroyed the Gem Star. The Gem Star's destruction turned everyone and everything in May City into stone. Dark wing was caught and banished to Lodorr, the land of the monsters. Years later Dark Wing was evened by his son, who had been raised by the monsters. 'Dark Wing 2' then came to Duriel. Everyone thought he was his father returning for revenge but they were comfused when he finally made it to the May Tower and returned the Gem Star to it's former glory somehow. Once it was back, the Gem Star made everything normal again and the people and buildings were no longer stone. Bit in the time it took the Gem Star to return, a new May City had been built further north and everyone moved there after returning from being stone. Even a replica of the May Tower was built in the center of 'New May City' where the Gem Star eventually moved. From there, Chloe took charge again and now Duriel is the way it is."

     "How do you know all these stories?" Mint asked amazed. 

     "My mom writes books about this world and the other worlds' history. She likes writing her books as if she were there there, for most of them she was there. And if it was a story she wasn't apart of she simply watches what happened with her 'Time Window." Everyone jumped back in astonishment at such a powerful item."

     "Wait, your mom has a time window?"AJ Asked.

     "It isn't too hard to believe since this is technically a game." Ivelaya said as if everyone should understand her. Only Davy nodded since he was a player. They knew that he was a player because if they squinted they could see a name-tag above his head. "Yeah, the game records what happens so all my mom has to do is reach those files somehow and watch the recordings."

     "Wait, so the Time Window is just some kind of hacking device that was built into the game? That's cool!" Davy exclaimed.

     "It sure is!" both the twins said at the same time.

(You said Davy is a player.")

{"Yeah.. So?"}

("But I thought Duriel didn't allow random players into the world. That was Anja's thing.")

{"It is Anja's thing. Davy isn't a normal player though."}

("Then what is he?")

{"He's like an 'Eternity Member,' but just not for eternity.. if ya know what I mean."}

("Oh, well thanks for the clarification. Continue.")

{"I can't!! You just ruined the moment!. I'll just continue in the next chapter. Okay, bye!"}
