The evening sky was painted with hues of gold and lavender as Sehun, Minji, and Dongwoo gathered in a quiet corner of the café, a sense of excitement and anticipation hanging in the air. The faint hum of conversations around them seemed distant, as though the world had slowed down just for this moment. Tonight, everything was about to change.
Sehun had been thinking about this for a long time. Their journey together had been full of twists, turns, and challenges. From the moment they met, it felt like their destinies had been intertwined, stretched across time and space in ways that neither of them had expected. The time travel, the heartache, the confusion-it had all led them here, to this very moment. And now, Sehun knew he wanted to take the next step, to make a promise that would transcend all the timelines they had lived through.
"I can't do this alone," Sehun said, his voice a mix of nervousness and determination. He looked at Dongwoo and Minji, who had agreed to help him with the proposal. "I need both of you to make sure everything goes perfectly."
Dongwoo smiled, leaning back in his chair. "You know we've got your back, Sehun. This is it, huh? You're really going for it."
Minji, who had been quiet up until now, nodded eagerly, her eyes bright with excitement. "Of course, we'll help. You deserve this, Sehun. And Hairi deserves this too. After everything you've both been through, it's time to make it official."
Sehun's gaze softened as he thought of Hairi, the woman who had been by his side through everything. She had traveled through time, faced unimaginable challenges, and in the end, chosen him. His heart swelled with love just thinking about her. "I don't want to waste any more time. I want her to know that I'm committed to her, no matter what happens. I want her to know that she's my forever."
Dongwoo grinned, looking over at Minji. "Well, then I think we'd better get started. We'll make this happen, no problem."
---
The next day, Sehun, Dongwoo, and Minji met at the café again, finalizing the details for the proposal. They had decided on a quiet, intimate setting-just the three of them, working behind the scenes to create the perfect moment for Hairi.
Sehun had chosen a beautiful park that overlooked the city, where the sun would be setting in the distance, casting a golden glow on everything. The plan was simple: Minji and Dongwoo would help set up a small, secluded area with fairy lights, candles, and a blanket, while Sehun would bring Hairi there under the guise of a spontaneous date.
As they discussed the final touches, Dongwoo leaned in close to Minji, his voice low. "You know, this is kind of like our own little secret mission. I kind of feel like we're in a spy movie."
Minji chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling. "I think you just want an excuse to be all sneaky and mysterious." She playfully nudged his shoulder, her heart fluttering slightly at the way Dongwoo was acting. There was something undeniably charming about his focus and determination, but also the way he made everything seem like an adventure.
Dongwoo smiled at her, his usual teasing smile softened. "Maybe. But I also think this is a big moment for Sehun, and for us. It's not every day you help your best friend propose to the woman of his dreams."
Minji's face turned slightly pink, and she looked down at her hands, trying to hide the smile that was creeping up on her face. "I know. It's going to be perfect, Dongwoo. Hairi deserves this. She's been through so much, and now she gets to experience something beautiful, something real."
Dongwoo studied her for a moment, his expression softening. "You know," he said, his voice quieter, "you've been a huge part of this journey too. Helping Hairi, supporting her when she needed it... you've been there for her, just like Sehun has. And I think it's incredible."
Minji's heart skipped a beat, and she met Dongwoo's gaze, her eyes bright. "I just want her to be happy. She's my best friend. And she deserves all the love in the world."
Dongwoo smiled, the warmth in his eyes unmistakable. "I know she does. And so do you, Minji. So do you."
The moment hung in the air, the tension between them palpable. For a split second, it felt like time had slowed, the world fading into the background as they shared a quiet, meaningful glance. Minji's heart fluttered, but she quickly pushed the feeling aside, reminding herself that tonight wasn't about them-it was about Sehun and Hairi.
But as she and Dongwoo returned to their task, there was an unspoken understanding between them. They were both in this together, helping to create something beautiful for their friends. And maybe-just maybe-their own story would unfold in time as well.
---
The day of the proposal arrived, and Sehun couldn't contain his nerves. He had everything planned perfectly, but now that the moment was here, it felt surreal. He stood at the edge of the park, waiting for Hairi to arrive, his heart racing in his chest.
His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he pulled it out, reading a quick message from Minji: *Everything's ready. She'll love it.*
Sehun smiled at the message, grateful for the support of his friends. He took a deep breath, focusing on the moment ahead. This was it-the culmination of everything they had been through. He was about to ask Hairi to be his forever, to make the love they shared something real, something lasting.
As he turned around, he saw Hairi walking toward him, her smile lighting up the park as she approached. She looked radiant, her eyes sparkling with happiness, and in that moment, Sehun's nerves melted away. All that mattered was her, the woman he loved.
"Hey," he said, his voice a little hoarse. "You look beautiful."
Hairi laughed, her smile widening as she reached him. "You're not looking so bad yourself," she teased, her hand brushing against his arm.
Sehun took her hand in his, guiding her through the park toward the secluded spot they had prepared. "I thought we could just enjoy the sunset together, take a break from everything," he said, his voice steady despite the fluttering in his chest.
Hairi nodded, squeezing his hand. "Sounds perfect."
When they reached the spot, Hairi gasped, her eyes widening as she took in the sight. The area was filled with twinkling fairy lights, candles flickering in the soft breeze, and a plush blanket set out in the center. It was intimate, beautiful, and everything she could have ever imagined.
"Sehun," she whispered, her hand flying to her chest. "This is... amazing."
Sehun smiled, his heart swelling at the sight of her reaction. "I'm glad you like it. But there's something more I need to tell you."
He led her to the blanket, and as they both sat down, Sehun took a deep breath, the moment he had been waiting for finally here.
"Hear me out, Hairi," he began, his voice earnest. "When we met, I didn't know what to expect. You've been through so much-more than anyone should ever have to go through. And I was just trying to keep up, trying to keep pace with you. But now, I realize that we've been through all of that together because we were meant to be together. Time, fate, whatever it is-it doesn't matter. What matters is that I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."
Hairi's eyes softened, and she reached for his hand, her voice trembling. "Sehun, I-"
Before she could finish, Sehun reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. He opened it to reveal a delicate ring, shining under the soft glow of the candles.
"Hairi," he said, his voice unwavering, "will you marry me? Will you make this forever?"
Tears welled up in Hairi's eyes as she looked at the ring, at Sehun, at everything they had been through. She felt an overwhelming sense of peace wash over her. This was it. This was what she had always wanted-what she had always needed.
"Yes," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "Yes, Sehun. A thousand times, yes."
Sehun slipped the ring onto her finger, and as they embraced, the world seemed to fade away. There was no past, no time travel, no complications. There was only them, their love, and the future they would build together.
---
Later that evening, as Sehun, Dongwoo, and Minji sat together at the café, their hearts were full. Minji was practically glowing, and Dongwoo couldn't hide the proud smile on his face.
Sehun raised his glass in a quiet toast. "To the future," he said, his voice full of warmth.
"To the future," Minji and Dongwoo echoed in unison.
And as they clinked their glasses together, Sehun and Hairi shared a moment-a quiet, joyful moment where the world felt perfect, as it was meant to be.
The past was behind them. The future was theirs to embrace.
