Hermione and Andy were under a mistletoe. But, Draco thanked his luck, neither had noticed it yet.

Draco was anxiously watching as the two of them danced underneath it. Hermione was laughing at something Andy said and he was watching her while smiling.

"Draco?" Blaise called him.

He didn't respond.

"You there, Draco?" This time it was Theo who called his name.

But still Draco didn't respond.

He stared at them with wide eyes as Andy slowly looked upwards. He was watching the mistletoe now. Hermione was yet to look upwards as she was currently busy laughing, not noticing the fact that there was something hanging above their heads.

Andy then looked down at her face. He was about to say something when Blaise snapped his fingers in front of Draco's face, breaking him out of his trance, and Draco couldn't have been more thankful for that.

He looked at Blaise for a second, then back at Andy and ran on his full speed towards them. Before Andy could even utter a word, Draco reached there and pulled Hermione away from him.

"What the hell, Malfoy?" Andy asked angrily.

"Uh-uh...Hermione is looking for McGonagall." Draco said quickly.

"Wait what?" Hermione asked him with a confused expression.

"I mean that McGonagall is looking for you." Draco said.

"And pray tell, why would she be looking for her?" Andy asked him as he crossed his arms.

"B-because we are Head Students and she wanted to tell us something about the ball, I guess." Draco said, making up a story.

"Oh okay, then. I will be back in a few moments, Andy." Hermione said and walked away, after giving him a smile.

"I know what you are trying to do, Malfoy." Andy said before Draco could leave.

"Did the sun rose from West, today? Because Mayfair actually has a brain." Draco said.

Andy scowled at him and said, "You think you are better than me, Malfoy?"

"I don't just think it. I know it." Draco smirked and walked away from him, leaving Andy standing there, and glaring at him.

-----------

"Where is McGonagall?"

"I don't know. She may be with the other proffessors somewhere away from the dance area, I guess." Draco replied as they searched through the crowd for Mcgonagall.

"Where was she when she told you to call me there?" Hermione asked him.

"Uh...she was-Oh look, there she is!" Draco was saved from answering that as he suddenly spotted McGonagall talking to Madam Pomfrey near the snacks table.

"Let's go and see her, then." Hermione said and lead the way.

-----------

"Good evening, Headmistress McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey." Hermione and Draco greeted together.

"Good evening, Miss Granger and Mr Malfoy." McGonagall and Pomfrey greeted them. After a look from Headmistress McGonagall, Madam Pomfrey walked away after nodding at each one of them, leaving the three to talk.

"So, what did you two wanted to talk to me about?" McGonagall asked them.

Hermione stared at her confusedly. "Um Headmistress, I think it was you who said that you wanted to talk to me. So, what do you want to talk about?" She asked her.

Now it was McGonagall's turn to look at them with a confused expression. Before she could say anything, Draco interjected, "You told me to go and fetch Hermione, remember Headmistress?" He looked at her with pleading eyes.

McGonagall nodded in understanding and smiled at him. "Oh yes. You are right, Mr Malfoy. I must have forgot while talking to Madam Pomfrey. Anyways, I just wanted to congratulate you both and the other Prefects for successfully organizing this ball." She said.

"Thank you, Headmistress McGonagall. We hope you are enjoying this ball." Hermione said and smiled at her Professor.

"I am, Miss Granger. Please convey my congratulations to the other Prefects as well." McGonagall said.

Hermione nodded at her before walking away. Just as Draco was about to follow her, McGonagall called him.

He turned around as she spoke, "What was that, Mr Malfoy?"

"Oh, I just needed to whisk her away from a situation, I guess. A one which would have kept me troubling, if I may add." Draco said and smiled shyly at her.

"I hope what you did was right, Mr Malfoy. And that you wouldn't regret it in the future." She said.

"Don't worry, Headmistress. I would never regret it." He said and waved her off. But when he realized that this was his Headmistress standing in front of him and that he shouldn't have said it like that, he added, "I mean that no. I would not regret it, Headmistress." He waited for her response as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

She finally smiled at him and said, "You did the right thing then, Mr Malfoy. And remember Miss Granger is a good girl. Now off you go and enjoy this ball."

Draco thanked her and walked away. He looked back at her confusedly over his shoulder as he didn't know why she said that. But she only smiled at him with a twinkle in her eyes which reminded him greatly of Dumbledore.

-------------

"Why did you that?"

"Why I did what?" Draco asked Blaise with a confused expression.

"We saw you pulling Hermione away from Mayfair." Theo said.

The ball had just ended and everyone was making their way back to their dormitories. Hermione was talking with Harry and Ginny in a corner so that left Draco to talk with Blaise and Theo.

"I don't know what are you talking about." Draco said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Don't you dare deny doing it, Malfoy." Blaise said.

"And while we greatly appreciate it-"

"-you pulling her away before she saw the mistletoe-"

"-you have no right to-"

"-hide this from us-"

"-considering we are your best mates." Theo finished.

Draco looked amusedly at them. They greatly reminded him of the troublemaker Weasley twins when they spoke like that. He sighed and said, "I honestly don't know why I did that."

Blaise and Theo looked at each other before Blaise patted Draco on his back and said, "You were acting very protective of her, Draco. And I think you know why you did it."

"And when you have finally come to accept it, don't even think twice before coming and telling us. Even if it is one o'clock in the morning." Theo said.

They both walked away after informing him that they both would be waiting for Hermione and him outside the Heads' Dormitory after changing their clothes. And that left Draco standing there, deep into his thoughts while he stared at Hermione smiling at Harry and Ginny.

--------------

"Why did you lie to me yesterday, Hermione?"

They were sitting in the common room. Blaise and Theo had yet to come and Draco thought to ask her about that night now.

"Where were you, Draco, that day? I didn't find you here when I returned." Hermione asked him back.

"Promise you won't get angry?" He sighed and asked.

"Depends on what you are going to tell me." Hermione narrowed her eyes at him and asked.

"I was there only, in the Room of Requirement, when you went to meet Mayfair. I was under a Disillusionment Charm all the time and came out when you left."

Hermione waited for a moment and then asked, "Then why did you take so much time to take back? And when did you come back?"

"I got into a little fig-friendly arugement with Mayfair, that's why I was late. I think I probably came back around two o'clock in the morning." Draco replied, replacing the word 'fight' with ' a little friendly arguement.'

"Friendly, huh? I doubt it was even a percent friendly." Hermione rolled her eyes at him and continued, "Anyways, how did you know that I went to see him?"

"Remember how you told me that you and Weaslette had a 'sleepover' that day?" When she nodded, he continued, "Well, consider it my luck or not, but Saint Potter actually happened to be useful for once. When I went to inform them about the meeting, I overheard them talking about having a walk in the Black Lake since they both were free that night. So, I just used my brain, which I assure you I have plenty of, and figured out that if you had a sleepover, then how could she have a walk? So, I decided to follow you when you left." He said

"Such a Draco like comment. I should have known better than to let you inform the Gryffindor Prefects. Anyways, are you mad at me?" Hermione asked.

"If I am being honest, then I was a bit hurt that you didn't tell me about going to meet him. You know I would have been so worried if I hadn't followed you. You know what would have happened to me if something had happened to you? You didn't even inform anyone, Mia. If not me, you could have atleast told this to Saint Potter or Weaslette. You didn't trust me enough to tell me about this. I don't know about you, but I would have told you if I was going anywhere, specially at this late in night." Draco said, his voice raising a bit at the end.

He may haven't noticed himself using 'Mia' in place of her name but Hermione sure did. Though she decided to not say anything. In her opinion, 'Mia' sounded cuter than 'Mione.

"I am sorry, Draco." She placed her hand on top of his and continued, "It's not that I don't trust you, it's just that I was afraid of  your reaction and I thought that you would have either stopped me or insisted on coming with me."

He sighed and said, "You should know that I wouldn't stop you from doing what you want, Hermione. I will always support you."

Hermione laid her head on his shoulder, her hand still on top of his and said, "I am sorry, Draco. But I assure you, I would always tell you if any situation like this arises in the future."

Draco smiled at this and laid his head on top of hers and said, "Let's hope any situation like that doesn't arise in the future. But if it does, I would be by your side. Always."

Draco hesitated for a moment, but then wrapped an arm around her. Hermione squeezed his hand at this and murmered a thank you. His shoulder was so comfortable that she was starting to feel sleepy. She was about to close her eyes but two certain Slytherins decided to ruin this moment.

"There are two people, called Blaise and Theo, outside the portrait for you two. Do you want me to let them in?" A person in the portrait asked them.

Draco groaned inwardly and told the portrait to let them in. They may be his best mates, but he would kill them now for ruining this moment.

Hermione and Draco decided to not tell everything to Blaise and Theo. They decided to tell him that Hermione went to meet Andy for something and Draco decided to follow her. To make up for lying to them, they apologized and Hermione gave them the cookies that she had baked a while back.

Blaise and Theo had finished the whole plate of cookies since they really liked it. Seeing Draco complain, Hermione told him that she had kept a separate plate for him of cookies since she knew how much he loved them.

------------

Draco lay awake that night in his bed. It has been three hours since the ball ened and an hour since he and the other three retired to bed.

He wasn't able to sleep. He would turn in bed every now and then, thinking about Blaise and Theo's words.

"You were acting very protective of her, Draco. And I think you know why you did it."

Why was I acting like that? If they were under a mistletoe, then let them be. Why do I care?

"Merlin!" He said as he sat up in bed as realization finally washed over him as to why he did all of that.

"What do I do now?" He asked himself when suddenly a thought occur to him.

"And when you have finally come to accept it, don't even think twice before coming and telling us. Even if it is one o'clock in the morning."

He didn't even think twice before jumping out of his bed and opening his door. Rushing out of his room, he saw Blaise and Theo lying on the two couches and sleeping soundly. Hermione had suggested them to sleep there only as she didn't want them to get caught for roaming after curfew.

He walked towards them and shook them lightly. When that didn't work, he took out his wand and non verbally casted Aguamenti, pointing his wand at the two of them.

Jets of water flew out of the end of his wand and splashed over the two lying idiot Slytherins. They immediately sat up and started looking around wildly. Draco stopped the spell and put his wand back in his pocket.

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF SALAZAR'S PINK POLKA DOT PANTS WAS THAT, MALFOY?" Blaise yelled at him. Good thing Draco was smart enough even at this time to cast a Muffliato charm around them before waking them up.

"You just ruined my beauty sleep, Malfoy. Now I would have more trouble trying to impress girls." Theo muttered angrily.

"Why do you need to impress girls, Theo? You already have a girlfriend. Don't you love her?" Blaise asked him, forgetting his anger at Draco.

"I know I have a girlfriend and I love her, thank you very much. But still, I need to look good for her atleast. And our dear Draco here ruined that perfectly." Theo said and scowled at him.

"Good morning to you too." Draco said sarcastically.

"Morning?" Blaise asked and then looked at the clock to see it pointing it a little after one o'clock in the morning. "Why, I wonder that you woke up so late in the morning. I may have missed my classes." He said, returning his tone of sarcasm.

"Whatever. Will you please tell us that why in the name of Merlin you woke us up?" Theo asked him.

"Huh? Oh yeah. So, I know why I was acting protective towards her." Draco said.

"And why would that be?" Theo asked.

"Well...I-I like...h-her..." Draco stuttered.

"You what Draco?" Blaise asked slyly.

Draco sighed in frustation and said, "I like Hermione Granger."

"Oh come on, Draco. We also like her. She is our friend, after all." Theo said as he continued to tease him.

"N-no. I mean, I like her more than as a friend. Like, you know, like you like Luna." Draco said, pointing towards Blaise.

"Congratulations. You are officially the last one among us to know." Blaise said as he patted Draco's shoulder.

"You mean Hermione knows about this?" Draco asked.

"Oh no. For being the Brightest Witch of Her Age, she is as oblivious as you." Theo said.

"You are perfect for  other, you know." Blaise said and he and Theo burst out laughing at this.

"You two don't understand. It is not a funny matter." Draco said as he sat down and covered his face with his hands.

"What's wrong, Draco?" Blaise asked.

"I like her very much. But I don't know how to tell this to her." He complained.

"He is acting like this when he realised that he likes her. What do you reckon will happen when he realises he is in love with her." Blaise whispered to Theo.

"Salazar help him. Wondering about how he will confess it to her right now." Theo whispered back.

"How about you ask her on a date?" Blaise suggested to Draco.

"Don't you think it is a bit early to do that?" Draco asked him.

"Then just ask her on a 'friendly' date?" Blaise suggested again, making quotation marks in the air with his hands when he said friendly.

"And you can probably make your bond stronger and confess it to her when the time is right." Theo added.

"Hmm...that is a good idea, I guess." He said and stood up.

"Well goodnight to you too." Draco said and went back to his room.

"I know you are best mate and even if I said that earlier, you didn't have to take 'don't even think twice before waking us up even if it is one in the morning' this literally, Malfoy." Theo told him before he closed his door, though he doubted that he heard it. And even if he heard it, the chance of hin implementing this was equal to the chance of Voldemort having a nose and him killing Harry even if he came back.

"Wait, he didn't even apologize or thank us." Blaise said to Theo who just shook his head in response, muttering something about 'ungrateful brat'.

-----------

It was the fourth week of November. Hogwarts' students didn't even realise how fast time flew by. A month ago it was the day of the ball and now it was the last week of November going on.

But time was passing really slowly for one person and that was Draco Lucius Malfoy popularly known as the 'blonde ferret' by some Gryffindors.

He still hadn't ask Hermione for a date, a 'friendly' date, mind you. He was waiting for the Hogsmeade weekend which was next week to ask her. He was still preparing about how to ask her. Whether he should just pop up the question, write it in a letter and give it to her, or give her a boquet and ask her. He really didn't have an experience of asking a girl before. Well he did, but all those girls were already head over heels for him. But this time, it was different. She had been his enemy once and he had just became her friend over two months ago and not to forget that it was just over a month that she had forgiven him.

He prayed everyday that no other boy should ask her out before he does. Hermione had become quite popular after the war and the ball. Earlier everyone would stare at her every once in a while. But after the ball, every freaking boy in Hogwarts had started to stare at her every now and then. And even some Slytherin boys had started to look at her whenever she would pass them. He would hear people talking about her when he's walking in the corridors and he would scowl at them.

Blaise and Theo told him every time there was a Hogsmeade weekend to ask her but he couldn't pluck up courage to do so. He finally decided that he would ask her tomorrow for the next Hogsmeade weekend.

But meanwhile, someone else was already planning to ask her out before him.

------------

"Hey Hermione!"

Hermione turned around to see Andy walking towards her. Lunch had just ended and she was making her way to her next class.

"Hey Andy." She said when he came near her.

"Can I talk to you for a second? Alone?" He asked as he looked around him.

"Okay. But you better complete it fast. I don't want to be late for my next class." Hermione told him in a joking manner.

"Don't worry. I wouldn't want to be the cause of you getting late to your class." Andy said nudged her slightly with his elbow. He led her near the end of the corridor where there was a large window overlooking the Black Lake.

"It's so cool. Why have I never seen it before?" Hermione asked as she sat on the bench which was in front of the window.

"I am sure most people haven't seen this. It is a rather secluded area of Hogwarts. There are not many classes on this corridor, and those which are there, are only near the other end." Andy explained it to her as he sat down next to her.

"Hmm...that would be the reason, I guess. But how did you find this place?" Hermione e asked him.

"Well, a week before the ball was the day when I met Amelia for the first time four years ago. I had just gone to visit a friend and she was there, talking to him." Andy said.

Hermione placed her hand on his hand and squeezed it. He smiled at her before continuing, "When we had started dating, I had planned to take her to her favourite place, Venice, for celebrating it. I had also planned on how I will ask Karkaroff and Dumbledore for permission. But, things didn't exactly go as planned."

He sighed and looked outside towards the Black Lake. Taking a deep breath, he said, "I was roaming around carelessly that day a week before the ball. Everywhere I looked, I would see her smiling at me. I was overwhelmed by that and I didn't even know when the tears started to fall. I just ran away from there and came to this spot. I casted the Disillusionment and Muffliato charms on myself and broke down."

Hermione smiled sadly at him and squeezed his hand again. "I am sure she will be looking down and smiling at you, where ever she is. And I also know that she doesn't want you to feel guilty. And you better not doubt my judgement, okay? It won't be good for you." She chuckled at her own statement and he laughed as he looked at her.

"Thank you, Hermione. For talking to me, becoming my friend, coming into my life. Thank you for everything." He said genuinely.

"You are welcome." Hermione said.

"I thought I was Andy. And not welcome." He joked.

"That was literally so lame, Andy. And it was not at all funny." She said and rolled her eyes at him, though the corners of her lips slightly lift up at that.

"So anyways, why did you bring me here? I doubt that conversation was the reason for that." Hermione asked him.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot about that. Well, Hermione, you see, it's been nearly three months since we became friends and got to know each other. And you are an amazing girl, 'Mione. Mind if I call you that?" He asked her.

After Hermione shook her head, he continued, "You are really kind, and really sweet. And I was just wondering if we could go to Hogsmeade next time there is a Hogsmeade weekend?" He asked her.

"Of course, we can go, Andy. And we can other people, if you'd like?"

"N-no. That's not what I meant. I mean that can we go alone together?" That made no sense to him as he asked that but thankfully Hermione understood what he was saying.

"You mean you are asking me on a date?" She teased him.

"Yes. Wait no. We can go as friends if you would like?" He asked nervously.

"Hmm...I would love that." Hermione smiled at him.

"Thank you so much, Hermione. And we should probably go now, there's only three minutes left until your class starts." He said as he checked his watch. Hermione stood up and he followed her actions.

Hermione waved at him as they both walked away in different directions. She was feeling a bit nervous, but she didn't know why. She was pondering over to why she said yes, and it was worrying her. That day, she couldn't even pay attention to her next class properly. And that didn't happen much.

If they were going as friends after all, why was she starting to regret that decision?

-----------

Draco sighed as he woke up the next day. Today was the day he would ask her. He didn't know why he was making such a great deal out of this. After all, he wasn't going to ask her to become his girlfriend, he was just asking her for a 'friendly' date.

He quickly showered and dressed up. Checking the time on his watch, he stepped out of his room to hear the shower still going on. She must be there, he thought.

He used the time to think of the ways of how to approach her on this topic. He was still pacing when she stepped out of her room. Dressed neat as ever, he thought as she walked towards him.

"Good morning, Draco." She greeted him as she stood in front of him.

"Good morning, Hermione. I actually wanted to ask you something." He said.

"Go on."

Draco braced himself and asked, "Are you free the next Hogsmeade weekend? We can go together if you would like?"

She was about to say yes when she remembered that she had already told Andy yes to the friendly date.

"Um Draco-" She started but he cut her off.

"Look, before you reject me or anything, it is not a date or something like that. We can just go and hang out together if you want?" Draco explained it to her.

Hermione didn't know why but she felt a bit of disappointment when he said that it was not a date.

"Draco, the thing is not that. I would love to go with you. But, I have already made my plans for that day. I am sorry." Hermione said, placing her hand on his upper arm.

"It's okay, Mia. But, can we, like, hang out for at least an hour? After you are free?" He asked as he tried to not sound disappointed.

"I don't know, Draco. Actually, the plans aren't made by me. Andy asked me yesterday if I would go with him to the next Hogsmeade weekend." Hermione told him.

"He already asked you on the date then." Draco muttered quietly so Hermione couldn't hear.

She patted his arm and said, "Maybe if we finish quickly, I would meet up with you?" After he nodded, she continued, "I am really sorry, Draco. I wish I hadn't said yes to him."

He placed his own hand on top of hers and said, "It's okay, Hermione. Inform me, when you want to meet me." Trying his best to smile, he slowly removed her arm from his and left the room.

It didn't matter how much he tried to hide his hurt and disappointment when she told him that she was going with Andy, she knew he was not happy.

She really regretted saying yes to him now.

-------------

It was the day. The day of the Hogsmeade weekend. The day she would go with Andy for hanging out.

Hermione sighed as she looked at her outfit in the mirror. She didn't feel like dressing up much, so she just wore a simple blue jumper with black jeans. She thought of first taking a sweater but then settled for a dark blue shrug that her parents had given her.

Parents. Hermione sighed again but this time it was due to their memories, which she didn't know if she would ever be able to experience with them again or not.

She checked the watch to see she had just five minutes more. She had already done her makeup, light blue eye shadow with black eye liner and mascara and a light pink lipstick. She decided to keep her hair in loose curls, since it had tamed a lot after the battle. To finish her look, she settled in wearing heels. She wanted to wear boots, but in the end, she decided to go for something different.

She grabbed her wand and stepped out of her room. She saw Draco standing there, checking hia watch and the portrait again and again.

"Hey! How do I look?" Hermione asled him.

Draco turned around to see Hermione standing there. Beautiful, his mind screamed. "Good." He said though he added, "As ever.", but she didn't hear that.

"Thanks. You look good too." Handsome, her mind screamed. He was wearing a simple black jumper with black jeans and black boots. His hair were falling over his eyes, making him look even more good.

He walked towards her and grabbed her hand. He pulled a bracelet out of his pocket and placed it around her wrist. "Here, just twist this little diamond to let me know you are free. The little diamond in my bracelet would too twist if you twist yours."

"But then how would you know where I would be?" Hermione asked as he showed her his bracelet.

"I would know. Trust me." He said and stepped out of the portrait before she could stop him or Andy could come.

----------

"So, where do you want to go next?"

Hermione and Andy had been roaming around for an hour now. They had first gone to Hermione's favourite shop, Tomes and Scrolls. And then Andy insisted on visiting Honeydukes as he wanted to buy some sweets for her, which he did, despite Hermione's protests.

"Should we go to the Three Broomsticks?" Hermione suggested.

"Whatever you like." He said and smiled at her. They both entered the Three Broomsticks and Hermione sat on a table near the window while Andy went to buy their drinks.

"Butterbeer with ginger on top, m'lady." He said as he placed their drinks on the table and sat across from her.

"Thank you, Andy." Hermione said as she took a sip from her drink.

"There's no need to thank me for this drink, 'Mione." Andy said as he drank his firewhiskey.

"Who on earth gave you the idea that I am thanking you for this drink. I was thanking you for your formality." Hermione smirked at him.

Andy chuckled a bit but said nothing.

And that launched an uncomfortable silence. They both didn't know what to talk about and were only exchanging words like, 'Do you want another drink?' or 'No, I am fine.' or the line which Andy said everytime, 'Come on, it's on me.'

That stayed till half and hour until Andy recieved a note. He quickly read the note and told Hermione, "I am sorry, but I have to go. I urgently need to go. I will see you later?"

"It's okay, Andy. I will see you in the castle." Hermione said as they both stood up.

He quickly hugged her and left, not before squeezing her hand and paying for their drinks, all the while smiling at her.

When he left, she decided to go Tomes and Scrolls to pass her time. She didn't know what to do until she remembered the bracelet. She twisted the little diamond on it. It glowed with white light for a second and then turned to normal. "And now I wait." She sighed.

-----------

Draco had been looking through items in Quality Quidditch Supplies when the little diamond on his bracelet twisted, glowing with a white light for a second. He smiled at this and ran on his full speed to the place where he knew Hermione would definitely be.

Hermione was reading a book when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Draco grinning at her.

"Found you, didn't I?" He asked her.

"Looks like you know me very well." Hermione grinned back at him.

He smirked at her and he led her the way outside the shop when she told him that she wanted to hang around.

They walked around for three hours when they decided to go back.

"Ow!"

Draco looked at Hermione to see her clutching her leg. He immediately kneeled down in front of her and asked, "What happened? Did you get hurt or something?"

Hermione shook her head and said, "No. It's just that my feet hurt from wearing these heels all day. I never wore them for this long before."

Draco told her to remove her heels and as she finished doing that, he stood up and placed an arm around her waist and the other under her knees and picked her up, bridal style.

"Draco! Put me down this instant." Hermione shrieked.

"Your legs hurt, Mia. You cannot walk. Let me be a gentleman for once." Draco said and picked up the heels in his hand. He really enjoyed calling her Mia, but he didn't say anything about it either.

"Atleast let me carry the heels?" Hermione pouted.

"No." He simply said and started to walk towards the castle.

He would run a bit sometimes in between just to annoy her. Hermione would shriek and put her arms around his neck, holding tightly. Draco then would slow down and chuckle at her. She would smack his shoulder lightly but would also laugh with him. This continued for a bit and even when Draco walked properly, Hermione didn't remove her arms from his neck. She really enjoyed this.

-----------

"What's the password, Hermione?" Draco asked, to annoy her, as he reached the portrait.

When he recieved no response, he looked down to see her asleep, her face buried in the crook of her neck. He smiled at her and said the password and entered the common room.

He hesitated for a moment but then opened her bedroom door, he didn't want to disturb her sleep. He slowly walked towards her bed and placed her carefully on it. He removed her shrug, placed her heels on the floor near the bed and put the sheet on her and tucked her in. He was about to walk away when he heard her murmur in sleep, "Thank you, Draco."

He looked down at smiled at her. He slowly bent and kissed her on her forehead. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and left the room.

-----------

"Students who are going to stay here for the breaks please give your names to your House Heads." McGonagall announced as the dinner ended.

Hermione picked up her bag and quickly ran towards the Heads' Dormitory.

Draco went to the common room after an hour since dinner ended. He was about to go in his room when he heard someone crying.

He looked around to hear the voice coming from Hermione's room. He slowly walked towards and knocked on it.

When she didn't open the door, he opened it to see her sitting on the bed, her head on her knees and she was shaking.

He walked towards  her and sat near her. He rubbed her back gently until she looked up ans hugged him tightly. He wrapped his arms around her, just as much tightly. She sobbed quietly on his shoulder as he rocked them both back and forth.

He let her calm down before he asked her what happened.

"M-my parents don't remember me. I-I can't find them anywhere. I miss t-them so much." She said and then told him how she had obliviated them during the battle abd was unable to find them since then.

With his arms still around her, he said, "I am so sorry, Mia. But I promise you, I would try my level best to find them. They will soon be with you."

He kissed her head and was about to leave, when she said, "Stay."

He climbed onto the bed and she snuggled up to him. He wrapped his arms around her tightly.

And that's how they both fell asleep, in each others' arms.

Picture of the bracelet, if you wanted to see. I just found it on internet and thought this was cute.
