1.Engulfed

She stood and she watched the waves splash.

The oceanic blue of the sea soothed the turmoil of emotions in her. A veil of sunlight blinded her as she stepped forward.

She wondered if her turmoil made the stormy clouds clash into the clear sky. For though, they looked like they were in a war. A war to have peace and to bring peace.

She stood and she watched herself taking the decision she will regret.

Everything in life we choose comes with a regret. What if you had said yes, to something you were offered. But, regretted it with rejecting it?  All her choices, made her regret them.

To her left, her past stood. The only wrong choices she was forced to choose.

To her right, he stood. The only decision she took right.

She took her white palms and stared at them. Was this the life she had dreamed of? Is this it? Was she giving up on her life? Should she engulf the death that was just a step forward?

Being pulled into her thoughts, she took a step back.

She took a deep breath. Until she felt she was content with the life she was reminiscing about. Was there anything to reminisce about? Reminiscing meant to enjoy the recollections of a person's past.

She wasn't able to enjoy her past or present. How will she dream about a future?

Family, scattered. Friends, betrayed.

Hopes, destroyed. Faith, forgotten.

She thought she was a Cinderella of her life. A broken yet strong girl.

They were just fairy tales. Tales which never existed. Fairies which were just imagined.

Her gloomy eyes roamed around the surroundings.

On the cliff, the view was clear. Crystal clear.

Blue sky, blue sea.

Orange sand, orange sun.

"Reyna!"

She stumbled on the voice which called her out.

He was panting on his way to her.

Her eyes welled up. Her hands shook. Her head spun.

She wanted to jump into his arms. She wanted to feel that warmth again. She wanted to hear his soothing voice.

She wished. She hoped.

Hopes and wishes never come true. Never for a broken person like her. Never for the monster inside her.

"I'm sorry"

She apologised to the life which had given her a chance. To live. But she survived breathing, never lived.

Taking a step forward, she engulfed her destiny.

In return, the warm water engulfed. Accepting her flaws. Accepting for who she was.
