Third person's POV

Eghe sat in her room feeling forlorn, this wasn't how she envisioned her life. Even if it was to happen, not this soon. A tear slipped down her temple. She quickly wiped it off.

She has been feeling real sick of late, symptoms being unnecessarily moody, fatigue and nausea. She visited a pharmacy store from her way from work the previous day for a test, just so she could rule out the possibility of being pregnant. Though her period was late, she'd have irregular period so that wasn't to cause alarm. After the test the result came out positive, two fat pink lines glaring at her. She decided to use another one, it was the same result and that's how she used half the box of ACON PT strip. This wasn't a hoax, it was real she concluded within herself.

Now the tears started falling, Eghe cried herself to sleep, woke up this morning and continued crying, the universe had finally judged her. What was she expecting when she'd be having raw sex with Ikay for the past three months.

After crying for a long time Eghe became week and had the feeling of the world crashing down on her shoulders. she wasn't expecting this so soon not when she wasn't even married. She was old schooled, wanted to get married before having her kids.
Her parents would be so devastated, not only devastated they will be disappointed in her. What was she going to do, how will she relay the news to Ikay?. Will he be happy? What would he think of her? Trying to rope him with a kid when he was still struggling with his own life.
God how will her parents take the news, that the kitchen chef was responsible.
Eghe placed her face on her palm, feeling worse off.

She heard a knock on her door, "Come in" she told whosoever it was, hoping it was one of the house maids. She was already hungry this morning. But it  wasn't the maid it was her mother,  her mother walked slowly into her room, the look on her face Eghe hasn't seen before.

Eghe quickly sat upright, covering her not-yet revealing pregnancy with her duvet.

"Lamogun mummy" she greeted her mother in their local dialect as her mother walked towards her bed.

"Kuyô!" Her mother replied with all seriousness. Eghe knew something was up, and she hoped it wasn't her pregnancy, she prayed so hard, she wanted the universe to be with her.

"I want to talk to you" her mother told her and moved towards the cushion in her room, tapping the space next to her, signifying for Eghe to come take a seat next to her.

"Come sit" Mrs Luckett voiced out as she saw no sign of Eghe standing.

'I'm fucked' Eghe said under her breathe, her mother must have noticed. Her mother seldom came into her room except she and her dad had something very important to relate to her. What was so important this morning, She stood up sluggishly feeling dejected. What must be important. She thought.

When she got close to her Mum, she saw the look in her mothers eyes. The look of I know whats happening and I'm disappointed. Eghe hurriedly embraced her Mum, avoiding her eyes. She didn't want to see the look of disappointment in her mother's eyes, she didn't want her disappointed in her.

"Mummy I'm so sorry" she burst into tears. "I'm so so so sorry Mummy" Lying was never a part of her, she knew she couldn't hide this from her parents and she couldn't lie to them about it, they were all she gat, she needed them in this  journey.
She cried on her mother's shoulders for so long at a point she was sure she had no tears in her anymore. Her mother finally released her from her hold.

"I'm so sorry" Eghe repeated, still not meeting her mother's gaze.

"I know" her mother said gently "So, who is responsible?" Her mother bluntly asked.

So many things were running through her head. The utmost been how her mother knew when she found out just yesterday. She was planning to go see the doctor later today just to know how far gone she was. For her mother to have found out She must have showed signs and symptoms.

"Ikay" she said softly, answering her mother who was patiently waiting for her reply. Eghe watched how her mother's shoulders slumped. Obviously her mother was disappointed.

"Eghosa Briana luckett" her mother said after a long pause "I'm disappointed__not in you, but the choice you have made"

The statement hurt her so bad that she resumed crying. She cried because her mother was disappointed in her choice. She knew her parents would never approved of him but she had fallen hard. 

Ikay, she loved him so much she didn't care if he'd come from the slums. She always drawn to help him, but he keeps refusing her help. She always felt bad whenever he rejects her offer to help him. Even though they made up by making love he still didn't accept help from her. Ikay was a chef, he kind of leave a lavish lifestyle, all she wanted was for him to live more lavishly so the help.

Eghe remembered the first time they had sex which was also her first time, it was the best feeling ever. They had not used a condom. Eghe was sure that was what produced this baby.
After the ordeal she was so angry, that she threatened him. "Do you wanna put me in a family way, she screamed at him He begged her, claiming that himself had never had sex without condoms that was the first for him too. she was so fucking tight he couldn't control his release.

She forgave him immediately he flicked his tongue into her ears. They had sex again that night, they decided to use a condom. She had personally removed it. Saying it wasn't as pleasurable as the first. They kept on having sex, both throwing caution to the wind. "I love you had slipped out from her lips on one of their love making nights. Ikay didn't say it back, she felt he didn't hear her. But he did.

She also remembered the night they had sex in the hotel's kitchen, on Ikay's work table. Earlier that day Mrs O'Brien had informed her it was time for her to move to the next department. Ikay had referred to it as moving sex.
She remembered laughing all through that night enjoying the feel of ikay as her drove in and out of her wet core.

They just ended their sexscapade when Mr James Gonzalez walked in. He greeted her and stared hard at Ikay. Something told her that he knew they were fucking. At that moment she didn't care who found out among her father's workers, then she thought about Mrs O'Brien and the promise she and Ikay had made. But still, she never mind, she was far too into him.

Eghe sworn that Ikay would forever be hers. She made herself his girlfriend and somehow drove other girls out of his life. I do not share, she kept telling him when she found him standing with other girls for too long, or being on call with other girls for too Long. Especially Lili__

" Your father is waiting for us"

Her mother's voice stopped her from her thought. Mother and daughter both stood up. Her mother looking at Eghe one more time, then walked away. Eghe followed slowly behind.
