I got back home tired, hungry and craving. Tired from work, hungry for food and craving for Eghe. It was just five days since we came back together and she already had me wrapped in her pretty little fingers.

I drove into the garage and parked my vehicle at its designated spot. Walking in through the kitchen door, the faint aroma of what was prepared tickled my nose. I salivated. My stomach reminding me of the absence of food.

Making my way into the kitchen proper, I found Eghe sitting on a kitchen stool, her back to me. She was laughing at something Mrs Olivia said. I watch as she threw her head back laughing harder as Mrs Olivia kept talking. They were so into the discussion they never notice my entry. I walked closer to the chattering duo.

"There you're" my ever bubbling house help voice filled the kitchen when she noticed me.

I watched as Eghe tensed, then she slowly turned around. Why was she still jumpy, I thought we passed that stage.

I smiled to Mrs Olivia who was smiling from ear to ear as i Stood behind Eghe. I encircled my arms around her tiny waist, kissing her at the hollow of her neck.

"How was your day" Eghe voice came out hitched.

"Fine" I replied her lazily still holding unto her waist.  I was enjoying the feel of her. Her flora scent mixed with my Cologne tickling my nostril, bringing images of our love making through the night.

She was wearing one of my muscle tees. I have always loved how my clothes outlined her 5'7 frame. This particular tee stopped at her mid-thigh, Major part of her floorless legs where on full display, leaving me imaging things.

How i loved her legs. How she had legs for days. I love it when she encircled those legs around my waist during love making.

I can't wait to bring them all here, so I could have her all to myself. My hands tightened possessively around her.

"You must be exhausted" Mrs Olivia interrupted my thoughts "Shirley said your father is in town for___"

"Yes, yes" I cut her off quickly before she start to spill. "Dad is in town_Shirley and mom would be flying down any moment" I told her.
Mrs Olivia had no idea Eghe knew nothing about my family.

Before I left home I gave her strict rules on what to say. Told her to entertain Eghe with memories of my childhood. Though the woman was confused but she didn't linger on why I asked her to do such. She was loyal and I knew she would do what I asked of her..

Mrs Olivia excused herself after hearing of my mom and Shirley's arrival. They had this bond I couldn't fathom.

"How was your meeting" Eghe asked after Olivia left.

Throughout my meeting with my father and some of his top officials who were working on the ground breaking ceremony on Dad's new project, I had Eghe in mind.

How would she and her family feel when they get to know about me. How would they feel knowing I was Oscar's heir.

Aside signing C of O over to the Luckett for the construction of their seven star hotel (which was also contracted out to dad's  company). Tomorrow was a big day for dad and our construction company. Dad was awarded by the state government to build the first skyscraper in Benin city with an helipad. He was also contracted the building of a full housing estate which comprises of 500 housing unit in a developing area in Edo state.

"Son"
I remember my Dad's voice echoing through my thought.

"You could have easily carried out the Luckett's deal while I carryout the Governors' deal" Father said flipping through the Luckett's deal sprayed in front of his office desk.

"You shouldn't be vindictive" he chipped in sarcastically.

After my continuous refusal to close the Luckett deal my father was curious and  decided to ask me why, by then, I had no choice but to let him know. I wanted nothing to do with the Luckett.

My father knew Mudiare Luckett, they had done so many businesses in the past. My dad was somewhat proud I ended up with the Luckett's daughter.

"Father" I began forcing a smile "I was vindictive in the past, but not anymore"

"Then, why aren't you closing the deal with the Luckett's"

"If that would make you happy, I will do that" I told my father.

I could see the happiness in his eyes when I said that. I and Eghe had already rekindled our relationship. So closing the deal wasn't a big deal anymore. I only wanted to see the reaction on Mrs Luckett's face. She once called me an opportunistic.

"Your mother was hoping if she could go with us too" father added quietly.

My parents where the height of clownery sometimes.

Now, tell me what my mother would be doing there, if not for Amebo. 

I sometimes wonder why I brought them in on my Eghe story. They most times joke about it. To be truthful, after I told my Father the bounden and guilt i felt was lifted off my shoulders.

"Dad, what about Shirley and the maids, I hope they get to come along" I replied  sarcastically.

"Oh yes" my father said putting up an act. "We didn't get to attend your rushed wedding, I guess this would be the time_to correct those traditional blunder y'all made" my father finished smiling.

"Father don't go there" I said seriously.

Another problem i faced after telling him our story. he has been hitting on we doing our wedding properly. Paying Eghes's bride price of 24 naira and doing those traditional rites. Though My father was well educated and handsomely rich, he was a very traditional man.

Tradition demands he meets his in-law, tradition demands he does this tradition demands he ....
Not withstanding my father and I agreed on closing the Luckett's deal together.

"Have you had anything to eat yet" Eghe brought me out of my riverine. She wriggled herself out of my hold.

I felt empty as soon as she left my hold.

"No__as a matter of fact I'm starving for you"

She smiled like she read my thought.

"Sit" she commanded.

I obeyed her like a lap dog would do his master.

I took the stool she vacated as she busied herself with providing me food. How lovely. I admired how she moved about. She belonged here. With me.

Instantly I wanted my family together. My wife and my children, under this roof.

They were coming home with me tomorrow. That was a promise to myself.
