Y/n POV

"Lake!" I slap her shoulder, replying to Darling as fast as possible, telling him I didn't want to meet up.

"What?" She put her hands up in defense. "I was helping you!"

"We must have different definitions of helping."

Laken's new friend, Embry spoke. "C'mon! If you meet him, you could be like Laken and I! Talking to each other without a screen separating us. It really is a lot better." Laken nods in agreement. Embry, who Lake called Em, was Tee, the person she was messaging. Rowen doesn't talk about his person much. I don't even think they talk to each other that often. I think they spoke twice, three times at the most.

Embry was a shy girl. It took a while for her to talk without mumbling around me, Lake said she had the same experience when they first met in person. She had long, dark hair falling to her mid stomach with subtle curls. Her brown eyes were small, making her look completely innocent. Having moved here to (Your continent) a year ago, she still had a thick Korean accent.
(I'm obsessed with Korea, okay?)

"Yeah! Listen to Em!" Lake grins widely.

The three of us were in Lake's bedroom. I was comfortably seated in her spinny chair, legs propped up on the arm rest with my back leaning on the front of her desk. Embry was sitting with her legs crossed on Lake's bed, a small pillow in her lap. On the floor in front of her bedroom door sat Laken, an oversized hoodie falling over her small form. Probably her brother's hoodie.

"As fun as it sounds, I'm still not ready." I reply, staring down at the nails on my fingers that I was picking at.

"What makes you not ready? You've been talking to him for two months now, you know what he's like! All thats new is you can hear a voice and see a face!" Lake comments.

"Wait!" Em gasps. "If you don't really enjoy the thought of seeing him in person, maybe you could reveal who you two are over video chat!"

"Yes!" Lake claps. "If you two are busy, do it over video chat!"

"Um, no," I chuckle. "If I were to meet someone for the first time, I'd like it to be in person."

"Whatever," Lake rolls her eyes.

Kind of annoyed with the two, I speak quietly, but loud enough for both of them to hear. "Its really none of your business anyway. you don't need to be telling me when or how to do something."

"Fine," Lake groans. "Onto another subject!"

Em giggles. "You look like a hobo in that hoodie."

"Fuck you!" Lake laughs.

"나쁜 날에 서!"(Come at me bitch!) Em giggles.

Lake and I both stare at her in awe.

"Ohh, what does that mean!" Lake asks excitedly, sounding like a child asking his parents what bedtime story they were going to tell that night.

"Nothing," Em shakes her head with a big smile.
