Lily's POV

I woke up and got ready. Daniel never left my thoughts. Why did I say that? It would've clearly given me away. I know it would. He's not that dense. I walked to school today wearing a long black dress with white spots all over. 

I got and Daniel waved and walked over. "Do you wanna go to the park after school?" What? Does he know or what? "Uh... Ok". I noticed how Maddie was walking over, a smug look on her face, she was also dragging Logan by his arm.

"Do you guys wanna play truth or dare?" Maddie said as she reached us. Her smug face became even smugger.

Daniel, being the poor innocent soul that he is, said yes for the both of us, UGH! 

"Ok, Daniel. Truth or Dare?" Maddie said

"TRUTH!" Daniel yelled.

"Why did you ask Lily to be your girlfriend in the first place?"

She pressed on a nerve. Love is a mystery so it shouldn't be exploited. Even if I didn't like him back entirely.

"Uh.. That morning she looked so hot. I had a crush on her a while before that. I was so caught in the moment I asked her and was so pleased when she said yes!" Daniel jumped he finished. 

"Ok my turn!" Logan shouted. "Lily, did you have a crush on Daniel?"

"I NEVER SAID TRUTH OR DARE" I protested.

"Which one?" Maddie butted in

"DARE!!!" I shouted

"I dare you to tell me if you ever had a crush on Daniel"

"UGH fine! No, never"

Colour drained from their faces like water from sponges. Especially Daniel's. They knew the answer but wanted it from me. They were wrong though. She liked someone else. She had for 3 years now. That's why she was wearing different clothes. It was an anniversary for she and her crush. But he didn't know about her feelings. It wasn't the right time. It was never the right time. But that was something she had to live with.

Daniel ran off. Logan left as well, to comfort him and Maddie stayed to question me. 

"Why don't you like Daniel!?!

"I can't say I-"

"C'mon Lily. Your dating him!"

"I just I... I"

" What's wrong?? You can tell me!!"

" I ... I... I!"

"LILY C'MON!!"

"I LIKE SOMEONE ELSE"

Maddie gave me a mortified look and pointed to something behind me. I turned.

Daniel and Logan were standing there. Daniel had his jaw hanging open. Tears welling up in both of our eyes. I took a step and he ran off again. I bolted after him. He was still my friend after all. UGH WHY DID I ACCEPT HIS OFFER!!! oh.. yeah, his look.

"DANIEL WAIT!! I CAN EXPLAIN AND YOU KNOW IT!"

He slowed and stopped, keeping his head down. Not daring to look into my eyes. 

"what."

"The look... on your face..I couldn't refuse."

" Who is it?"

"What?"

"Who do you like"

"I don't know"

"WHAT?!? What do you mean? YOU DON'T KNOW?!?"

"I... I like...Anon"
