World MT-468-2023: The World(s) is in Chaos in the Dimensional Collision AU!
A world where due to unexplained circumstances, all the fandom worlds are fused into one timeline, with only the Mystic Detectives retaining their memories, following the December fiasco while those who are not "native" to the world, such as Winnie, Wuliang and Mosse, those marked as anomalies, are ejected from the world. While they scramble to find out the truth behind everything, they face the new threats that come their way, be it Hanoj, Azraelmon, or the new Chimera Digimon... But what truly led to the fusion of these worlds...? And could they hold a piece of the puzzle to the story of the Anomalice?
This is their ninth world, and LostValkyrimon is determined to keep fighting, although he is also very much in love with Acheelmon, who has... 'defected' to the side of the Dimension Keepers, even if she retains her desire to free them all from the shackles placed upon them. But did the Creators truly place this burden upon them? Are the Anomalice truly immune to the effects of the Codes? Perhaps one side of the story is about to unfold in front of our very eyes...
"We're the most susceptible to the Codes?" Gangsan couldn't believe his ears. Just what in the world...? He remembered Kirameki telling them that they were immune... Had he... Lied?...
Tsuchiyume definitely seemed the most shaken by the news, if the way Natsume was hugging him was any indication.
Guilmon X nodded. "Yeah, that's the interesting part. You said that you were told you were immune to the effects right? I still don't get that part fully. It was well-known even in the past that those with the Codes would be affected the most by them. What even happened in the past after we got sealed away...?"
"Maybe Pascatmon had something to do with it," Ranto offered. "She could have easily twisted the facts."
"That makes sense..." Daun mumbled. "But why?"
"Because of the Marks. You saw how they affected Perfectio and they only had those for a while. Compare it to Haneul Scirocco and how the Codes basked in the emotions they gave it during December. How Pascatmon had been... 'Nurturing' them." She looked disgusted just saying it. "But even that didn't make them an Anomalice. No, it doesn't spread by blood. As Félix and Philip showed us, it can happen when fate is altered."
"The research on Anomalice is very little," Touma agreed while leaning on the wall. "I found it very annoying. Even reconvened with Wynton, Ichita and Shun on it. Asked Kana-san about it. Amelie didn't have much either."
"Even we don't know much ourselves, and we were the first," The former Fragmented Code Digimon confirmed. "I don't know why or how it happened. I... No, we... Even Mona...."
She gripped her claws tight. "None of us remember how we came to be partnered with Pascatmon. We only remember being with her, then... we were sealed away by Pascatmon and those... those people..."
"We need to look into that more then," Sandayuu suggested. "It could hold information about how to save all your friends from the Codes."
Xrosmon nodded. "I agree wholeheartedly. It may be the first step to helping the Anomalice become more accepted to the world."
"Hm..." Bluepon frowned. His blue eyes gazed at the bird Digimon as the other partners sat together. "Hey, Tiggan, where DID Xrosmon come from?"
"I... personally don't know either," they admitted. "I think there was a data cluster that interacted with the world's magic, which gave birth to him."
"Huh.." he quietly nodded. Xrosmon had nearly referred to Belos as his brother... Could it be...?
Wuliang got up. "I know the perfect place to start my investigation. You guys are open to join me, but I need to go meet up with Aunt Winnie and Aunt Mosse."
"Winnie we know, but Mosse?" Skyla looked over from the piles of paper she had been rummaging through. "Isn't she from the Legend of Zelda world?"
"She's also part of our team," he confirmed. "Got involved when Papa was still the leader. She originated from this world and came back after verse hopping."
"How has Centuriomon not killed her yet?" Ranto blinked.
"Oh, to be fair, she was very sneaky about it. That's the fun thing about being a Sheikah, according to her. Plus, she's kind of like Aunt Winnie, and has ties to the OD and stuff, so it's not like he can fully get mad at her. She also doesn't do what Yuga-senpai and I do; somehow get involved in any space-time issue."
He paused. "I know I got affected when I was a kid due to Keketmon, but Yuga-senpai... I actually don't know how he got involved directly, even if Centuriomon claimed that was the case. I think it was mostly a Ghost Game issue."
"It was. We only managed to avoid it thanks to Kirameki letting us hop to a null space. She couldn't erase a world that was already half destroyed," Gangsan confirmed.
"Fair," Wuliang said. He knew what AU cluster they had gone to; after all, his Dadda was in charge of that type of AU.
"We can figure that out later, though. I believe this... hologram, as you seem to call it, is telling us another verse is in trouble," Belos spoke up, making them turn to see from the screen that indeed, another world was being intercepted by LostValkyrimon.
"Time of interruption?" Jinpei asked while grabbing the Anomalous Field medal.
Touma adjusted his glasses as he leaned in, frowning. "It's... oh no. It's an MT world."
"A world that involves all the worlds," Shiift quickly explained to Félix and Belos. "So from Youkai Watch all the way to Ghost Game."
"It's MT-468-2023, to make it worse," the scientist added. "And the time of interruption is... Is when they finally narrowed down who did it."
"Isn't that..."
"Pretty much in the future? Yes. July 13, 2040. That's the time of interruption."
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
~~ July 13, 2040 ~~
"You... You did all of this... After killing my friend with your inhumane experiments... You still have the NERVE to claim this is justifiable?!!?"
"Onyx, breathe!" Natsume yelled while she, Akinori and Touma struggled to hold her back. Her Mystic power was insanely strong right now as she roared, "HOW CAN I?! HE CAUSED ALL OF THIS!!"
"How are you even sure it was me?" The culprit asked while tilting his head.
"Who else would do the disgusting things you've done? You killed someone just to know if humans could be turned into Bakugan! Now you do this?!" She snarled.
Gushiken Kirisuto, better known as Toge, tapped his left elbow with his right index finger, even had the audacity to smirk. "Why so pained? Angry your partner was kicked out of this world?"
Onyx SCREAMED, her struggles growing. How dare he! HOW DARE HE!!
"How can you call yourself a human...?!" Noboru looked disgusted.
"Even when we were under Broken World, we would have never done **** like you did!!" Kana hissed.
Toge rolled his eyes. "Come off it now. It was an intriguing thing. I just wanted to know what would happen if the worlds were fused."
"But you KNEW what would happen. You KNEW the timeline would end up like this!!" She accused. "You probably made Alec lose his boyfriend! You made Mosse unable to go home to Hyrule! Just what insane piece of **** would-"
"I am not insane, seriously! Keep up with my words, Onyx!" He snapped back. "I wanted to know more about the worlds! It's no big deal. Not like anyone would miss anomalies and paradoxes. The ones who did all this reassured me of that.
"What an utter disregard of life...!!" Ayame was definitely angry now. Even she had her limits. "You don't give a care for Wuliang-kun and Winnie-chan who had loved ones here!"
"They're not even natives! Gosh, what idiots!" He scoffed. "Can't even read between the lines! You care so much about people who don't deserve to live here!"
"SO WHAT?!" Onyx finally managed to break free and grabbed his shirt, eyes burning in anger. "WIN IS MY BEST FRIEND! SHE'S FAMILY AT THIS POINT AND YOU TREATING HER LIKE SOMETHING THAT'S WRONG ALL BECAUSE SHE IS A CHILD OF THE OD AND OUR WORLD IS UTTERLY APPALLING! BRING HER BACK! BRING MY FRIEND BACK! BRING WIN AND WULIANG BACK, YOU *******!!! CHANGE THE WORLDS BACK TO WHAT THEY WERE, GUSHIKEN!"
"Maybe ask the Creator to do so," He mocked back. There was no sign of remorse as he pushed Onyx off him, dusting himself while looking at the other Mystic Detectives in disdain. "Why do you care so much anyway? It's nothing special. That stupid tournament to get your wish granted was useless and only brought trouble. Even the concert you tried to set up in December was a failure. Let's face it. The world is better off this way. One timeline. No interactions. Heck, the time space keeper would be happy that the anomalies are g-"
Keisuke punched him this time, and Keita didn't even stop him as the fifteen-year-old screamed, "THEY WERE STILL OUR FRIENDS! ANOMALIES OR NOT THEY MEANT SOMETHING TO US AND YOU, YOU ****TY LOSER, HAVE NO RIGHT TO CALL THEM ANOMALIES!"
Toge touched the cheek he had been punched on, and a scowl formed. "I'M TRYING TO MAKE OUR WORLD AS IT WAS BEFORE THE ANOMALIES SHOWED UP! ANYONE SANE WOULD KNOW THAT WITH HOW THINGS WERE, THE WORLD WOULD HAVE COLLAPSED! PROXIMAMON AND NIRVANAMON SAID SO!"
"Oh really? Then explain how not even a genius could tell that it would have worked well either way," Wynton snapped at him, eyes burning. What he and the others had gone through... The Awesome Brawlers, the Eves, the Legendary Heroes, the Appli Drivers and even the Watch Holders... facing against Hanoj...
(Dan, nearly lost to the Infinite Inferno, consumed by his darkness. Mahiru, almost mauled to death by Kuro. Bloom, scarred by Corren attempting to kill her. Tagiru, corrupted to the other side thanks to Corren's abilities. Yuujin, made to watch Haru break down over losing his childhood friend.
So much could have been avoided, yet this man claimed he...!)
(They did not realise what he had said at the end of it...)
Dan scowled. "People like you only think to fuel your own egos. You're just like Haavik."
"I am the only one who wants to make the worlds a better place! Open source? Pah! It was a stupid idea to the end. Whoever thought of THAT idea is nothing but a failure," Toge scoffed.
Failure?
Failure?
FAILURE?
OH THIS PIECE OF **** DID NOT JUST-
A scream. Rushing forward.
A weapon manifesting. A snarl forming.
People like him should die and never come back alive! They deserve to rot in the worst ****! DIE! DIE! THIS MAN IS NOTHING BUT A PSYCHOPATH!!
"YOUR INNER DESIRE IS HEARD. ALLOW ME TO GRANT YOUR WISH, C O N T R A C T O R."
Wait, that voice...!
Toge froze. What in the!?
A loud scream pierced through the air as a huge white dragon emerged from behind Gao, roaring in pain. Every part of his body felt like it was being hacked and taken over...!
"Ch-"
"GET OUT OF ME!! PLEA-"
But it was too late.
"Chibi Panda"
Evolve
To
LOSTVALKYRIMON
"WARRING TEMPEST!"
Something flew past them-
He didn't have any time to dodge. The loud scream that escaped Toge's lips was anything but peaceful as he fell to the ground, a golden spear pierced through his chest while crackling with lightning.
This spear was then pulled out by LostValkyrimon as he kicked him, causing Toge to cough out blood. "Y-You..."
"YOU ARE NOTHING TO THE WORLD, SCIENTIST. PEOPLE LIKE YOU CLAIM TO WANT THE BEST FOR THE WORLD, YET IS IT TRULY THAT, OR IS IT TO FUEL YOUR EGO?" The Digimon said with a scowl.
"L-LostValkyrimon!?" Dia gasped. "But how!?"
"I thought that once we beat Pandora, LostValkyrimon would have faded off..." Michelle whispered. "That's what Perfectio said before..."
(Before Jan 1, when it all fell apart. Tzelohimon did not appear. Instead, reality twisted and turned, and screamed in pain.
Alec's anguished wail was heard, Onyx's sobs were clear, Shin Ayumi's roar was loud before they woke up in bed, as if nothing happened. No more portals could be opened. Cho-Taiyo... it had been destroyed, according to Kyoya's Buddy, because something, something had forced the worlds to fuse.
And the person who had done it, the one who had played Creator, who had... who had killed Aruke, used his powers to upend reality... to fit his warped idea of a perfect world, before the CREATOR took her rightful place...)
"You... All Anomalies should have been-" Toge rasped out, only for the spear to be stabbed straight into his chest again, then it was raised high.
LostValkyrimon scowled at him. "DIE."
Before he could do anything, though-
"NOT THIS TIME!"
Execute!
Comet Lance!
"Magma Rupture!" A Pyrus Troxx blasted LostValkyrimon back with magma arrows while DS Zodiac kicked his head.
A-Onyx looked up in surprise. "Ranto?! Daun!?"
"This is quite a mess..." Belos remarked while he and Félix rushed to Toge. "Dear Lord, are you planning on slaughtering people everywhere you go?"
"Wait, you're...!" A-Ichita gasped. He had heard about him from Luz, and Félix was Adrien's cousin! What were they doing here with-
"I SEE I HAVE BEEN INTERCEPTED," he said, his glowing eye sockets looking at Acheelmon who stood there with a frown. "NO MATTER. I WILL FULFILL THE CONTRACT THEN SEARCH FOR PHOONIX."
"Phoonix? Who's that?" A-Tasuku asked with a frown.
"NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. RIGHTFATERS SHOULD STAY OUT OF THIS." He wiped the blood off his spear on the ground, staining it red. "WHERE ARE THE REST OF YOUR LOT? I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE HERE."
"They're busy with other matters, so for now, you can have fun with us!" Earth Walker SD form yelled as he inserted another medal in.
Execute!
Gallia Fissure!
"Hang on, isn't Gallia Fissure-" A-Tenade's eyes widened.
Claws similar to CanoWeissmon's formed on the Hero's knuckles as he tried to slash at the other, only for LostValkyrimon to avoid it before punching him back into a wall. "I WILL DEAL WITH YOU LATER. FOR NOW, THE MIRACULOUS COMES FIRST. I WILL FINISH THE JOB ONCE I GET IT."
Jinpei groaned, de-transforming out of pain. Gosh did that hurt! "Ugh, we need to finish him off!"
"But we don't even know who his contractor is!" Xrosmon pointed out.
"We need to get someone to the hospital first!" Belos cut in, his hand holding a cloth that was pushing down the blood gushing out of Toge. "Please, stay with us!"
But as Félix looked around, he realised something. Hesitation. Anger. Disgust. All these emotions were overriding the desire to help someone who was in pain.
His fists tightened. Perhaps he had done wrong, and perhaps he would never repent, but saving a life came first and foremost! "Monsieur Belos, open up a portal to the nearest hospital!"
"And you believe I know this place more than you do?" He pointed out. Fair, but no one was doing anything! He couldn't let this person die!
(Why? Why couldn't he let him die?
Was it because behind those eyes, he could see himself? What he could have become if things had gone so, so wrong...?)
Toge took a shuddering breath. This child suddenly seemed so small, seemed scared. Desperate. His fingers grasped Belos' dress shirt. "I-I don't want to... D-die... I-I just... w-wanted to help..."
"Liar!" A-Onyx scowled.
"Stop pretending you feel anything! You're just a coward who broke the worlds!" A-Parker snapped.
"Please! Call an ambulance!" Félix pleaded.
His heartbeat was slowing. No no no this was bad.
Toge's tears were flowing, yet he whispered, as if he knew something, "Please... don't turn out like me... D-Don't... be so consumed by greed, by desire, by the belief of being right... that you... end up losing your humanity..."
Something... seemed to trigger in him.
"We're human, we're better than this!"
"Well, we ain't!"
Belos' eyes widened. Just what?
And then his hand fell. His eyes closed.
"No no no no no no no nonononononoonoonononononoooooO!!!!!!" Belos screamed at the top of his lungs.
Félix was frozen in shock. Just what had...
(Nightmares, Belos... had them for the first few days. Of a child killing him, of him being nothing but a monster. Of him... claiming that humanity was superior.
It scared him. Just how ****ed up was he in the main worlds? Just how messed up was he? Just... how many people hated his guts...?
Was he truly able to say he was worth anything? When he saw what he had done, what he COULD have done...?)
"Wait, wait, he's... actually dead?" It was A-Bernard who brought it up. "Then that means-"
The golden light, it- it left the corpse, and looked around.
If it had eyes, it would have landed on someone.
Someone... NOT from this world.
The next thing Xrosmon knew, he was engulfed with a light. One that shone brightly.
"What in the world....?" A-Ayame gasped.
"It went... into someone else?" A-Keita stammered.
(The power, only able to choose if multiple people were nearby... It found a worthy vessel...)
"What... just happened?" Ranto blinked.
"I... can't be 100% sure, to be honest," Daun admitted.
"Xrosmon, are you okay!?" Acheelmon immediately pounced over.
Félix grabbed him before he could say anything, checking him over. Nothing seemed different, so he let out a sigh. "Thank heavens. Nothing bad happened to him."
Belos simply stared at Xrosmon. "Do not EVER worry us like that ever again, you dumb bird."
(Why did he remind him so much of Caleb...? Reckless yet also caring.
... Dear Lord, he needed a break from idiots!)
"Well, I'm sorry that the weird light went into me," he snarked back.
Acheelmon promptly smacked him on the head with her tail. "Not funny, Xrosmon. Not funny at all."
"Ow! I'm sorry!" he complained. "Seriously!"
The three gave him unimpressed looks as Ranto came over, carrying Jinpei. "We should... probably do something about the body."
"And maybe get the worlds back to where it was," Tyrannus added.
"But... how?" Félix asked.
"Well, honestly, the dimensional rupture LostValkyrimon should be enough to trigger a reset again. And since the worlds were originally separate anyway..." Daun trailed off.
"So we can get things back to normal?!" A-Dan smiled in relief.
"We can get the others back too! Win's coming back!" A-Onyx grinned.
"That being said, we... should probably give the corpse to the police. They should be able to handle the funeral..." A-Benton finally spoke up, dampening the mood as they looked over at the dead body.
Belos looked at them, a scowl firmly in place. He grabbed the body and turned to Ranto. "Can you find a way to get to the closest police station?"
"I think I can. I just need to get the GPS working," Ranto answered.
"Good."
(He didn't know why he felt so... so connected to this boy. Why had his heart resonated so deeply with his?)
He ignored the stares from the alternate Mystic Detectives. He couldn't look them in the eye, just walked away.
(All his life he was told humanity was better, yet here was cold proof that humanity was just as, no, humanity could be WORSE than witchkind.
And he... He hated witches for so long. He treated them like trash and wanted to, CONSIDERED eradicating them...
He was...disgusting. No wonder no one wanted anything to do with him. He was nothing but an *******...)
Félix frowned. "Monsieur Belos..."
A-Onyx was left speechless. Who was he and why was a BELOS being nice to someone?... That... shouldn't be possible...
"You okay?" Guilmon X had a gentle tone as Belos sat on a bench outside of the police station. The others surrounded him as well. They saw the shaking, the shock settling in.
"Y'know you can cheer up, cause you tried to help him! So don't be so down, cause you did your best, yeah, come on!" Jinpei rapped, hoping to lighten up the mood.
Connex looked at him, worried. "I-Is he okay?..."
"He looks pretty shaken..." An Aquos Ventoraptor remarked from Daun's shoulder. "Did the sea catch his clothes?"
"Not the time for jokes, Spinos. Belos-sshi... Are you-"
When he did speak, an element of... Despair could be sensed.
"Why did you let me be part of you?"
THAT caught everyone off guard.
"H-Huh?" Goromi rubbed his ears. Did he hear this man correctly?
"You said that my counterparts... None of them were good, right? Why did you trust me? Why didn't you just wipe my memories or kill me? My brother, everyone would be better off if I didn't exist, if I died to Gwenyth Blight... I was never in the right. I will never be in the right. I was a fool, I was such a selfish ***. I... I should have died."
Tears fell down his cheeks.
"I am nothing but a burden to you all... That young child reminded me... If I had been given the right push, the right nudge... I would have become a tyrant. I would have become a monster."
(The real monsters, it turned out, were humans. Even if others mess up, humans will continue to look down on others. Treat them as inferior....)
Félix's eyes widened. What was he saying?!
"You're basically saying that you should carry the sins of your counterparts," Jinpei finally cut the atmosphere in half as he said this. "They're your counterparts. They're not YOU. You're not them. So why, pray tell me, do you have to bear THEIR sins just because you're the only decent Belos we've come across?"
"D-Decent Belos?" He repeated in surprise.
"You are definitely the only decent Belos we've seen in the worlds so far," Ranto confirmed. "A lot of people hate your main self with a burning passion and the idea for a redemption arc is so few and in-between."
"The only one who accomplished such a feat would be the SRS," Daun joked. "And as we all know, Wuliang's family is insane."
"Who is the SRS?" Belos blinked.
"You'll find out. Either way, you're only obligated to carry the burdens YOU have. You have no obligation to carry the sins of others. We get you want to make up for their actions but this isn't the way. Killing yourself only proves their point," Tyrannus said.
"Being TOO selfless ain't the way to go. You need to be able to stand your ground. Don't get so blinded by the guilt you end up misattributing stuff," Spinos agreed. "You CAN grow, but only if you let yourself have time for that."
"Prove to yourself, Oberon Papillon, that you CAN become who you want to be. That anyone, no matter how far gone they're believed to be, can change and be redeemed. Even if their actions hurt you, you're your own person, and no one, NO ONE can take that away from you," Tiggan finished. "I chose you because you defied your own fate. The person you are now is not because of fate's decree. No, it's your own hands that took your fate and decided to screw it up, to create its own path."
Belos was so surprised at the sheer conviction in their tones. "You guys..."
Not even Caleb... Not even his own brother believed in him like this. Even he didn't find him worthy of his time. That was the impression he gave Philip anyway.
But these people... They understood him, they GOT what he meant.
(It's just them against the world, and honestly? Belos is okay with that. He refused to be selfish but... He also wants to believe in himself, somehow.)
Félix simply gave him an awkward hug despite the small smile on his face. Tiggan and Guilmon X shared a grin while the rest smiled.
(A function on Belos' Digivice glows. Waiting for the time to be useful, to once again change his fate for his own sake. To finally love himself the right way.
[The box glows, another gem fills up.])
"How... can you forgive yourself so easily?" A new voice then spoke up, causing them to turn and see someone approaching them.
The person who had been running forward before LostValkyrimon showed up.
"Hey, did anyone see Noboru?"
"Good question. Tim?"
"I think he said he needed the toilet or something? I don't know."
"I hope he's alright... He looked so haunted after Toge's death for some reason..."
The tiger-themed Dungeon World user looked at them, although his hesitation was clearly shown in his eyes as he said, "Toge, he caused so much pain... He only felt remorse when he was dying. Otherwise, he would have never realised what his actions caused. Even if he did deserve it..."
I wanted to kill him.
That sheer thought scared him. Had LostValkyrimon not interfered, would he have actually murdered him with his own two hands
[Kodo Noboru was many things, but a murderer wasn't one of them. Even if LostValkyrimon hadn't interfered, Gushiken Kirisuto would have been consumed by the energy anyway, leading him to die and fix the worlds again, returning them to their original place, or even remaining this way...
Still, A-Noboru's convictions wavered. He knew what he had done as Tiger. He knew how he had partially contributed to Gao becoming Umbra Gao...
Was he... every bit of a monster as Toge was? Had his thoughts actually led to LostValkryimon's manifestation?
The fact that he didn't know, meant that there was a chance, however small, that he had.]
"Well, it's kinda easy," Bluepon said.
A-Noboru blinked. Huh? "What do you mean?"
"Thoughts, they don't really define you," Daun said with a chuckle. "They're just a part of you. It's all on you how you see and respond to it."
"Just because you have a dark thought doesn't make you a bad person, I suppose," Félix offered. "Your actions, your choices matter more than instinctive thought."
"You know, you know that, you can choose to be kind, yeah, so why sweat the small stuff, when you can focus on now!?" Jinpei rapped again.
This time, everyone had wide smiles, and A-Noboru himself grinned.
Suddenly, the blue goop fell down his eyes, making him jump as he realised what was sliding down his shirt. "Wait hang on what?! Nooooo!!! Not my tiger shirt!!"
And there it was, the laughter erupting from everyone's lips.
(A-El Quixote smiled from behind a wall before walking back to their group. At least Tiger Boy was okay now. He had been way too burdened beforehand.)
"Thank you, though. You... really put things into perspective," A-Noboru said to them. "You're all Dimension Keepers, right?"
Belos couldn't help the smile form on his face as he teased, "Perhaps we are. But we may also be passing through Anomalice, you know."
"Anomalice?" A-Noboru repeated. "What's that?"
"You'll see. For now, we need to hunt down LostValkyrimon. You're welcome to join us if you want to, Noboru." Ranto offered his hand out to him.
A-Noboru felt a grin form on his face. "Of course! Time to go save Chibi Panda!"
It was time to kick some digital butt!
"MY LOVE..." LostValkyrimon closed his eyes. "PLEASE STEP ASIDE. I HAVE YET TO FIND THE MIRACULOUS."
"LostValkyrimon..." Guilmon X frowned as they stood facing each other at the harbour, where the showdown had taken place earlier. "I'm so sorry but we need to take you down here, right here and right now. You're going to end up hurting the Rightfater if you don't let go of his body."
"I'M AFRAID AS OF RIGHT NOW, I CANNOT DO THAT. PLEASE UNDERSTAND."
"Then you know what I must do." She looked sad as she slid into a battle stance.
(She didn't want to hurt her other half... She had to find another way. She had to figure out how to save them, fast, or Mona was...)
"What IS a Rightfater anyway?" Félix finally asked the question he, A-Noboru and Belos had been wondering for a long while now. "He mentioned it before and I still do not understand what it means."
"Basically people whose fates remained the same," Ranto said while setting Jinpei down on a bench nearby. "Your brother and his wife are considered that, and you and Félix were those until your meeting."
"I did not know there was such a terminology," Belos remarked. "But I suppose we ought to address this later on. Right now, we have to conduct a rescue mission."
"That's it in a nutshell." Daun nodded, holding Spinos and Tyrannus' Bakuball. "Let's get going then!"
"Alright, Anomalous Field, Set!" Ranto inserted the medal into his Alien watch.
"Henshin!"
Overdrive!
Deep Shadow Zodiac!
"Bakugan Brawl, Bakugan Stand!"
Félix's own Digivice lit up as he activated his Miraculous, transforming into Flairgos once more.
Guilmon X Ultimate Evolve to!
PrimorHekatmon!
The two humans shared a glance once more as the canes manifested, and Belos gave a grin. "I hope you are prepared."
"I always am," Félix said with a smirk. "I am Félix Fathom, after all."
"Let us not waste time then!"
"Understood!"
"Tiggan, bring me home!" Both chorused.
The first thing Oflairon did upon transforming was to throw some fire glyphs at LostValkyrimon, who dodged, but DS Zodiac punched him back, allowing Tyrannus to unleash his Magma Rupture at the Digimon.
"VALHALLA'S JUDGEMENT JAVELIN!" he roared, throwing the golden weapon at Spinos.
"Not so fast! Spinos, use Aquos Blast!" Daun threw a BakuCore at him, allowing the dinosaur Bakugan to send a huge stream of water at LostValkyrimon, sending him stumbling.
DS Zodiac then slipped another medal into his watch.
Execute!
Comet Lance!
His kick connected, and made him actually roar. He hadn't even found the Miraculous yet! "I REFUSE TO FALL! RAGNARÖK TORNADO!"
"Glyph of the Start!" PrimorHekatmon blasted a light glyph his way, visibly flinching as he cried out in pain, shedding tears all the while. She stumbled back, as if she herself had been hit by an attack. "F-Forgive me!"
(The Codes were killing them all...! They had to do something about this! She couldn't lose her family to the void again! She couldn't risk Mona dying again!)
Xrosmon steeled himself, his beak wide open as he let out a light attack. "Blinding Sun!"
"Spinos, Aquatic Flame! Tyrannus, Pyrus Blast!" Daun commanded even as his fists tightened. He could hear the sounds of pain...! "End this quickly!"
The two Bakugan nodded before they used their tails to send off twin fireballs, one made of water, at LostValkyrimon.
Phoegos grabbed out the ice glyph and threw it before sending a blast at him. "Time to end this, Monsieur Oflairon!"
A-Noboru equipped Eskamal and Bestia, looking at Oflairon. "You ready?"
He smiled. "Very much so. Let us go!"
The two then faced LostValkyrimon, standing back to back and the blonde male said, "I... Thank you for doing what I couldn't, but right now, you're hurting Chibi Panda. I need to save him. I... Hope you understand..."
LostValkyrimon hissed in pain. No no no no no!!!! "DON'T DO IT!!!"
The two held out something, a spell card and a glyph.
"I cast! DUNGEON EXPLOSION!"
Flames and ice seemed to unite in an almost breath-taking tornado as they soared through the air and crashed right onto LostValkyrimon.
Yet the Digimon could only smile. As he released the Buddy Monster he had possessed, he said, "FORGIVE ME, MY LOVE. SOME OF US NEED TO GO TO THE EXTREME TO SAVE THOSE WE LOVE."
"Wha-" PrimorHekatmon paled as she saw something. A small reptile-like pixie with phoenix wings had been nearby.... "No... NO! YOU-"
"FAREWELL, DIMENSION KEEPERS. YOU MAY HAVE WON THE BATTLE BUT I HAVE WON THE WAR." The mist grabbed the small Kwami and-
A portal opened up, Phoonix barely got to scream before her entire body was wracked with a blue aura as she fell into the portal.
Everyone could only gasp.
A-Noboru held onto A-Chibi Panda's body, eyes wide.
Daun shook. No. No. They had... They had...
They had failed... Hadn't they...?
"What do you mean you don't know either?! You and Aruke-san are the only ones we know who've done this **** the longest among us!!" Tsuchiyume's grip on Kirameki's jacket was abnormally tight.
He had trusted Kirameki, and yet...!
"I don't know much either. All we know is that the Anomalice story started up before we came here. I... I'm not even a native, Chiyume," He answered.
They were definitely attracting looks, but Gangsan couldn't bring himself to stop them. "You aren't from this world?"
He paused, eyes widening as he realised what he had said. He had sworn to bring that to the grave....
"Have you looked... Into the past before?" Skyla finally cut in. While she had suspected this, she hadn't wanted to impose.
"I... Kinda did," He admitted quietly. "And history repeated itself, interestingly enough."
"History... Repeated itself? What do you mean?" Sandayuu asked.
"The... Entire thing with Keketmon..." He paused, assessing their looks, before he took in a deep breath. "You won't like this."
"We've been through **** with the entire thing with Nura. Try us," Gangsan said while crossing his arms.
"This is far worse than that, I'm afraid. You said that the others went to MT-468-2023?"
"What about it?"
"The database doesn't show this. No one actually knows this, because... They erased this part from history, but..." He seemed to be considering his words really carefully here.
They waited.
And waited.
And finally...
He met their eyes, and said, "Proximamon and Nirvanamon... Their actions led to the creation of the Fragmented Codes. And in that world.... They were the ones who allowed Kirisuto to change the world."
Arturomon was pretty sure that if he was going to die, it wasn't going to be here, so he took his time, conserving the energy his Master, no, Mona had given him.
Walking slowly through the hallways, flashes of memories echoed in his mind.
"YOUR WORLD IS BROKEN, THEREFORE IT MUST PERISH.”
Who determined what was broken? The main world was broken yet no one saw it being destroyed. Or well, it did until it was brought back by the very person who cursed them with the Codes.
He laughed at the irony. Here these people were, revered and treated like they had done no wrong. But no one was truly perfect.
He wondered why there was a Pure-attribute. Why there had to be that one ball of light in the darkness.
Because that one ball of light... Had snuffed out worlds based on personal judgement.
"Imagine, doing so much just to wish for the past to change," He quietly joked to the eggs as he arrived. "Jalter, Miasma... You guys will be our enemies soon... I hope you... Find happiness as well."
Three blue tears fell to the ground. There was a glow from the bags.
"Goodbye... And I hope that we never have to face each other in battle."
