We resign our hearts
And fall prey to hurt
Lost in the dark,
With no way to return.

But before the dawn breaks
The strong at heart,
Makes a realization
That may start
a new beginning.

Throughout life comes,
The rain and the sunshine.
The dark may swallow all,
But the light can pierce all.
