(You might wanna read back, I changed a lot of things.)

[3rd person POV]

The sun had begun to set, the sky was painted with hues of red and orange, and the fleeting rays of light seemed to set the scenery on fire. A certain raven-haired boy was walking leisurely under the warm light, stopping as he faced with a large red cargo crate. He waited until he could only hear two people in the vicinity before climbing atop the said crate.

Once he reached the top, he looked down at the other side of where he came from, smiling in content. His dark violet eyes were shining with interest as he watched the two people he wanted to get rid of the most. His plan worked: they were here, and better yet, they were already arguing and trying to get rid of one another.

He let out a soft chuckle, and soon, a razor-sharp dagger was thrown at him. He managed to dodge just in time, the dagger barely missing his ear and slicing off strands of his hair.

His eyes widened for a split second, before he returned to normal, smiling while he brushed off the strands of hair that had been cut off.

"Ahh, that was really dangerous, you know? That dagger was really sharp." The boy, Ichijo Senri, beamed happily. "Quick responses, as always. Just what I'd expected from you, Lize."

"Lize? Who the hell is that?" Accelerator questioned him, staying alert.

"Well, it's a shortened form for Crystalize, of course." He said bluntly, making Mynnah's eyes widen in shock. "And you shouldn't be so mean now, Lize. We haven't seen each other in years now, throwing daggers isn't how you greet an old friend."

"Who are you?" Mynnah asked, or more of, demanded, her glare as piercing as the dagger she just threw. "And how do you know Crystalize?"

"I know many things about you two that neither of you know." Ichijo laughed. "Or well, remember, at least."

"And how the hell did you get that information?" Mynnah asked.

"It's simple, really. It's because I remember." He said. "I remember everything that happened back in the Special Abilities Institute. I saw just about everything that happened to the both of you."

"If I forgot anything or anyone in that nuthouse, it just means they were too worthless for me to remember." Accelerator scowled.

"That's harsh, but that's not quite the case here." Ichijo faked being hurt, letting out a soft chuckle.

"Actually, that's not the case at all, Accelerator, because you forgot me, and as I remember," Ichijo smiled. "I was quite significant to you."

"Significant to me? Like hell you were." Accelerator said.

"Well, we were, in a dramatical way, archenemies, after all." Ichijo said, giving Accelerator a smile with the intention of pissing him off even more.

Ichijo chuckled again before sitting down on the crate he was on top of, dangling his legs over the edge and swinging them.

"You just can't accept that you unwillingly forgot your past now, can you? You don't remember Third, and much less poor little me." Ichijo pouted childishly and then burst into laughter. "Take a hint, Accelerator. You don't remember anything because the institute didn't want you to. They erased your memories because they didn't want a perfectly good subject to wail and fight them over...her."

"What the hell are you saying, bastard?" Accelerator said.

"Oh? You don't even remember her? That's sad, you were meant for each other~." Ichijo mocked. "Well this may jog something in your forgetful little brain."

Ichijo gave out a sigh.

"I really hate talking about her, but if it helps you, then, so be it." He groaned. "She was the most annoying little bitch I'd ever met, someone who could counter and dispel our abilities, even though she was way weaker than us."

"Dispel?" Accelerator asked. "You mean she was like that level zero bastard Touma?"

"I wish it was as simple as that, but no, she'd counter us with her stupid esper ability, Starburst, or better known as Vector Reformation." Ichijo spat. "Good thing she was killed when she was just nine, sacrificed to create the monster that Crystalize is now." Ichijo regained his smile. "Well, did any of that help you remember anything, Accelerator?"

"Like hell I'd remember some weakling." Accelerator scowled.

"Oh? But I remember correctly you had quite the soft spot for her." Accelerator shot a disgusted and confused glare at him. "Let's try a different approach this time, shall we? Maybe this will help you remember; her registered name was...

...Hoshi Kurama."

As he heard that name, a lump formed in Accelerator's throat. He couldn't breathe.

He didn't know who she was, but the very mention of her full name burned into his head and felt like a needle in his heart.

He didn't know what she was to him, but his chest felt heavy, his breath stuck in his throat. His head started to spin. He even felt like...crying? No, that couldn't be right. He would never cry, much less for someone insignificant enough for him to forget.
But why..? If she was nothing to him, why did it pain him so much to hear that name...?

Then he heard it again, ringing in his head, a child's voice:

"Hoshi really isn't my name. It's just a nickname from my little sister, because she has a Japanese name." A girl's voice said happily. "I trust you, so I'll tell you. My name is -----."

"I'll call you Nacchan, then!"

Mynnah glanced at Accelerator and grimaced. Everything Ichijo said was true, which meant someone important to Accelerator was stripped of their esper ability and killed, just to create her. As much as she disliked Accelerator, for someone so close to him to be sacrificed for her...she just couldn't forgive herself.

She wouldn't be too surprised if Accelerator took another attempt at killing her afterwards...moreover, she had half a mind to let him do it.

"Aha~ha!" Ichijo laughed and clapped his hands. "Did we finally hit the jackpot?"

"I still don't know who the hell that is." Accelerator said. "But if it's the same dead girl in Yoshikawa's story, then the one used as the main subject for Project Six was that girl, and not Mynnah. If the subject really did survive, then that girl would still be alive and this brat wouldn't even be here."

"Yoshikawa, huh? That intern that handled Hoshi?" He said blandly. "She was always quite the dull one. Did she really think they'd sacrifice ten other children for a level three? She was lied to."

Accelerator's chest became heavier as he heard those words. He clenched his fists. He didn't know why, but he didn't want to believe what Ichijo was saying. Mixed emotions of anger and sadness welled up inside him, and it all confused him.

"They'd use a child close to level five, and at that time, it was Crystalize. But still, Vector Reformation was a very powerful ability, so she became an ingredient. Her ability was like a booster." Ichijo said, and Accelerator's anger only increased. "But it was too much. That's why Lize's heart temporarily stopped and they thought she was dead. Even as an ingredient she couldn't amount to anything. Even until the end, your little girlfriend was absolutely worthless—"

Accelerator had snapped and propelled himself towards Ichijo with his ability, tackling him. He focused his ability on his fists and punched Ichijo square in the jaw. He hit Ichijo in the chest; sickening crack was heard as his fist broke a few of Ichijo's ribs.

Before he could land another hit, Mynnah grabbed him and put him behind a star-like crystal shield, shielding the strong force field that Ichijo unconsciously generated.

Mynnah could barely react fast enough to cage the both of them and slow down their landing. She set the both of them down and glared at Accelerator.

"Are you stupid?!" Mynnah yelled, on the verge of slapping Accelerator. "This is why I told you to leave! I can't protect your ass and fight back at the same time!"

"Shut up. I didn't need your help." Accelerator replied.

"Oh, really now?" Mynnah angrily grabbed him the collar. "By the time you landed that third hit, he would've ripped you in half before you could even think about using reflect!"

"Shut up, this isn't the time to be arguing." He glared her down.

"For once, you're right." Mynnah replied, letting go of his collar harshly, still mad.

"So, that's what you meant by 'reverser', huh?" Accelerator said.

"No, luckily for you, this is something completely different." Mynnah huffed, crossing her arms. "If he really was a reverser, then the moment you tackled him, you should've been torn to bits, but you landed two hits before the force field activated."

"Having a love quarrel in the middle of a battle, are we? Agh, that hurt like a bitch..." Ichijo said, spitting out blood once he stood up. "You caught me off guard...heh. You're more aggressive than I remember you to be, Accel."

"You," Mynnah said, gaining Ichijo's attention. "What the hell are you?"

"I'm a reverse—" "Cut the bullshit." Mynnah cut off Ichijo's sentence.

"You're far from what you say you are." She said. "If your power was even anywhere near a reverser's," She pointed to Accelerator. "He'd be dead by now."

"Ah, I've been busted. I guess you catch on really quickly, Lize. I used the title of a reverser to get your attention." Ichijo laughed, putting his hands up like he was under arrest. "I'm an esper. The user of vector redirect, or 'Luck out'. The bastards in the institute even nicknamed me 'Lucky', like I was some kind of dog."

Accelerator clicked his tongue.

"Another bastard that uses vectors, huh?" He said. "I'm surprised you aren't caged up in a lab already."

"Did that dull researcher really not include poor little me in her stories?" Ichijo said. "No matter how much they tried to get my ability out of me by force, they couldn't do it. My ability only comes out when I am one hundred percent willing to. They couldn't even test my ability, so they labeled poor me as a level zero."

Ichijo grinned, looking down at the both of them. He cracked his knuckles, hopping off the crate, slowing down his landing.

"So, lets see what the outcome will be." Ichijo laughed. "Level five versus a level zero, huh? Sound familiar, Accel?"

Accelerator gritted his teeth at the memory of losing to Touma, but smirked afterwards.

"Bring it on, bastard."
