Annabeth Takes The News

Annabeth Chase already knew Percy Jackson was a god. She was there when he drank the fuc- freaking Ambrosia wine. She cried in front of him. Who in Hades cares? She didnt have a chance with him anyway.

It had been a week since Percy drank the Ambrosia. Annabeth hadnt seen him at Camp for the whole week, and she was leaving soon anyway. She probably wouldnt see him very much anymore. He was a god now. Absentmindedly Annabeth wondered what he would be a god of. Dissapointment? Stupidity? She heard thunder rumble. Okay, okay! Sorry. She thought about all the time she wouldnt be spending with Percy. How much he would miss, being immortal and all.

However. This opened up doors for Annabeth. She took out a drachma and summoned the goddess Iris with a water spray. She asked for the person she wanted to speak to, and they talked for a long while. Finally, the Iris message ended.

Annabeth packed her things. She was leaving camp. It was break, after all.

Between Chapters

The womder ful, spectacular, amazing Percy Jackson had made it back to camp. Yay. Had he reliquished goldihood too? No? Oh, then Annabeth didnt care. Her decsion was made. She had Iris messaged Artemis as soo as she had gotten back to camp.

Chiron had called a meeting of all senior counselors, as soon as Percy had arrived. Why did the world stop for that idiotic Seaweed Brain?

Whatever. Even though she had called Artemis, she wasnt a huntress. Yet. Even so, she had to go to the stupid meeting. She got up, looked in a mirror- gods she looked terrible- and left the cabin, headed for the Big House.

The Camp Takes The News

The door opened and in walked a mess of blonde curls.

Annabeth looked like she'd been crying. And not just crying in the last few minutes. Her eyes looked like they would be puffy forever, and the dried salt tears that stained her face looked permanent. The spaces under her eyes were a dark purple, like she hadnt slept for a month. Percy couldn't stop staring.

Annabeth walked straight over to him. He was about to apologize again, or hug her, or...something! He opened his mouth, but it was promptly shut by a hand to the cheek. For the third time today.

In reality, Annabeth wanted to slap, kiss, hug, and judo flip Percy, all at once.

Percy Makes A Choice

"Hey, Annie...beth." Percy added quickly, after remembering the glare she had given him when he last attempted to use the nickname.

Annabeth turned, gods (again Percy wondered if this applied to him) she was beautiful. Her dark circles had been miraculously cleared up, her eyes were no longer puffy, and her hair was in a regal braid. She didnt usually wear her hair like that, but Percy thought nothing of it.

"Yes, Percy?" Annabeth responded, her voice monotone, and her expression flat.

"Um i was wondering if we could...talk." Percy stammered.

"No, we cannot. Im leaving. It is winter break after all. And you have a decison to make, so im told." Annabeth said, turning from Percy.

Wheres Annabeth?

Annabeth Chase had disappeared. First, she hadn't come back to Camp Half Blood after Winter break ended. And then she started returning every so often.

But everybody seemed to understand her distance. They werent bothered by it at all.

It had been about a year ish since Percy became a god.

Annabeth Adds

So it had been about a year ish since Annabeth became a huntress. Gods had it really been that long? Annabeth visited Camp Half Blood every few weeks. She didnt always get "permission" per se, but unless things were bad, she figured she could spare the time. Sometimes Thalia returned with her.

Thalia and Annabeth had become even closer in the year ish since Annabeth became a huntress. Annabeth learned things she had never known.

Like, Thalia had a brother that Hera took from her. Thalia hated her mother. Thalia had seen Zeus, bevaude he was also her brothers father. She had seen Zeus interavt with her mother. And she hated him for it.

Thalia knew things about Annabeth too. Like how she still had dreams about Percy. How she couldnt stand going to home, even once, to tell her father what had happened so instead she let him believe she had died.  Thalia also knew that Annabeth was terrified of the whole "immortality" thing scared her to death. Well, not literally.

But no matter what she was afraid of. Or the coardice moves she had made, Annabeth couldnt back track. Annabeth had made a choice.

She was a Huntress Of Artemis.
