Mary and I were sitting at the table waiting on my lawyer George to come and help with getting Anna back. The doorbell rang and Mary got up.

"Can you answer that love? Im looking through more papers." I said still sitting. Mary opened the door and just then George walked in. "Hi George thanks for coming. Have a seat." I said gesturing. I put my glasses on and George went through some files.

"Well Michael....we have a solid case. The birth mother basically terminated her parental rights when she left her child in an alley."

"Exactly. Thats why I should have her. I love that little girl with all my heart." I said

"I believe it Michael. I just want you to know that the mother will try to beat you and say you took her child."

"Yes I did take her....away from harm. She had no other place to go!" I said angrily.

"Baby calm down." Mary said rubbing my hand.

"Mike, we will get her back..."

"My daughter....we will get my daughter back." I corrected him

George nodded and said sorry and Mary went to go make tea. "Now I talked to Mr.Flowers and the mother has requested a trial. We are to appear in court next Tuesday."

"Ok. I will be there."

"We also need a file containing everything that you have done to care for her. Either receipts or photos of where she resides. They may ask a witness to the stand to either support or hurt you during the hearing."

"Ill take the stand!" Mary called from the kitchen.

"Great! Let's get ready."
