I woke up and saw that Mary was gone. We were talking for so long last night and fell asleep. I got up and went to check on Anna. She wasnt in her room so I hurried downstairs. I smelled something good so I went into the kitchen. Mary and Anna were in there making breakfast.

"Morning daddy! We wanted to surprise you!" Anna said running to hug me. "I see honey. Did you sleep well?" I asked her. She nodded and kissed my cheek. "Sit with Jessie! We'll be done in a sec!" she said running back to the pancake mix.

I walked up to Mary who had a smile on her face like every morning. I kissed her and she blushed. "How did you sleep?" I asked her.

"I slept wonderful. And you?" she asked

"Oh I slept great next to the woman I love." I said back. We kissed again and I sat down while they finished. We all sat down and ate. "Daddy do you have to to work today?" she asked

"No lovebug I dont. Would you like to do something special today?"

"No daddy. I want you and Mary to go on a date!" she said excitedly.

Mary and I both laughed. "A date huh? If Mary wants to...." I said looking at her. She smiled. "Oh I want to." I smiled at her and we finished eating. "Honey will you go up to my room and get my schedule book? I just have to double check and see if I have anything on my plate to do."

"Hun its OK if you're not free..."

"No babe Im still gonna spend time with you today. I just need a break from my work."

"I know you do. Go get the book for your dad sweetheart." Mary said nicely. "OK!" Anna said so sweet. She ran upstairs and I scooted closer to Marylin. "So...you just gonna sit there of you gonna give your man some lovin?" I asked teasing her.

She giggled and she kissed me softly. "Tasty." I said teasing her again. We laughed and I kissed her again. Anna came down with the book and gave it to me. "Thank you sweetie." I said

"You're very welcome daddy." she said with that cute smile of hers. I looked in my book. "NOTHING TO DO YAY!" i said excitedly. Anna and Mary both laughed. "Movie?" Mary asked.

"I wanna see Bambi!" Anna said happily. She loved Bambi and Peter Pan. I think I got her hooked. We were all sitting down in the movie room watching Bambi when I got a message on my walkie talkie.

"Michael there's a visitor here to see you." Gerome said over the talkie. "Well can you send the guest to the movie room?" I said

"Right away sir." he said before going out. "Whos visiting?" Mary asked

"Dont know sweetie. We'll see when they get here." I said laying back. "You restless?" she asked laughing. "Very." I said back laughing.

Just then the door opened. A man was walking towards us in a suit and a writing pad. "Mr.Jackson.." the man asked.

"Yes sir?" I asked

"My name is Gregory Flowers. Im here to investigate the case of Anna Clark." he said.

"Anna is fine here with me Mr.Flowers. Ive been taking care of her."

He walked to Anna and bent down. "Your mother has been looking for you sweetheart. She misses you."

"Im not going back to her! She hurt me!" Anna said madly.

"You're upsetting her." I said irritated.

"Look Mr.Jackson....her mother wants her back, and in the state's eyes you are not her legal guardian."

"BUT WHAT KIND OF MOTHER WOULD LEAVE THEIR CHILD IN THE DAMN ALLEY?" I said angrily.

"She was intoxicated sir. She is in much better condition now."

"If she does drugs once she'll go and do it again!" I said back

"I absolutely agree Mr.Jackson, but I have to take her. She's threatening to sue us if we dont give her Anna back. Im sorry."

"NO DONT TAKE ME NO!" Anna screamed as Mr.Flowers grabbed hold of her. "WHAT THE HELL LET HER GO!" Mary yelled.

"GIVE ME MY CHILD!" I yelled trying to grab her from him. "DADDY!" she yelled crying. I was crying furiously. This beautiful child that felt like mines was being taken away from me so fast.

"Let me say goodbye." I said defeated. He said OK and let her down. "Sweetheart listen to me...you have to be strong OK? Just remember that I love you so much and there's nothing in this world that I wouldnt do for you. You changed my life Anna. Im not going to let them hurt you. Im going to fight for you if it takes every bone in my body you hear me?" I said holding her close.

"Yes daddy. You promise?"

"I promise. I love you." I said crying badly

"I love you more." she said back

"I love you MOST." I said smiling. She kissed my cheek and more tears escaped my eyes. "Im comin to get you." I said lastly. Mr.Flowers grabbed her and she said

"WAIT!" She turned around and handed me Jessie. "For love and protection." she said rubbing her eyes. I bent down and kissed her one last time. Mary hugged her again and Mr.Flowers took her. When she left out the door I fell to my knees and cried.

"Michael Ill help get her back I swear it. She was like my daughter too." she said crying. I fell into her arms and thought about all the times we had. That little girl had a huge place in my heart and I couldnt let her go.

Im gonna get her back
