Lucas came up to my room to check on me and to see if I was getting ready. I was moving slow today because my bones were hurting. I really wasnt looking forward to this baby shower.

"Babe are you ready?" he called from the bathroom.

"Im almost done." I said bending to wash my legs. There was suddenly a sharp pain that ran up my back and I fell. "LUCAS!!!" I called from the bathroom. He ran to the shower quickly. "Babe what happened!?"

"I was about to wash my legs and this pain went up my back and I fell." I said nearly yelling. He picked me up and laid me on my bed. He called my mom and she dashed up the stairs. "Honey are you ok?"

"Mom my back!!!!" I yelled. Lucas was on the phone with my doctor and he got on the phone with my mom. "Yes Dr.Harrison. She has sharp pains in her back." I was moaning loudly and my dad was in my room by then. He rushed by my side and I was having a crying fit. "Shhhh babygirl its going to be alright. Im here."

"Daddy it hurts." I said faintly. My mom got off the phone and I looked at her. "Mom please make it stop!" I said yelling. "OK baby its going to stop. Michael can you go downstairs and get the pain medication? And Lucas can you run downstairs and get a warm pack to put on her back? Sweetheart Dr.Harrison said lay sitting up." she said helping me into that position.

The pain subsided for a minute and my dad was already back with the pain medication. My mom gave it to me and Lucas was back with my hot pack. Once it hit my back I was instantly satisfied.

"Oh my gosh...that feels WAY BETTER." I said in relief. They all sighed loudly and sat on the bed. "You scared the living daylights out of me!" my mom said. My dad and Lucas both nodded.

"Im sorry guys."

"Well....there is some bad news. Dr.Harrison said that you have to stay in the bed until you regain strength. The baby is just growing at you have to get used to the weight. But for now just get some rest sweetie."

"Mom what are we going to do about the baby shower? It starts in less that 30 minutes!"

"I have an idea." Lucas said. We all looked at him and he smiled. He got up and left and we all shrugged because we didnt know what he was up to. My dad left and my mom helped me transform into my robe.

"What do you think they are up to?"

"I dont know. You know how men are." my mom said. I laughed and she laid next to me. "My sweet girl." she said fixing my braid. "Mom Im scared....what if I got in there and...."

"Dont be scared sweetheart. Ill be right there with you the whole time. Once you go into labor, think about the wonderful life you're going to have with your baby. Think about how we all are going to have a good time as a family. Think of those who love you." she said. I smiled and nodded. "I will mom....but as long as you are there I know Im going to be ok." I said shedding a tear.

"Oh honey please dont cry! You're going to make me cry and your mama doesnt cry all the time." she said with a somber face. We both laughed and there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" I called. The door opened and my family and friends were coming in smiling. "I HEAR THERE'S A BABY ON THE WAY AND A PARTY OVER HERE!" my aunt Janet said loudly. My mom and I laughed.

"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE?!" I said surprised.

"Oh Anna did you think that we were going to not come after that accident? We can have the baby shower up here! All is not lost baby!" my grandmother Katherine said. I smiled and looked around.

"Awe you guys....this is wonderful. Thank you." I said giggling and crying at the same time. "Whos idea was this?" she said. Everyone looked at Lucas and he giggled. "I thought a traveling party would be a great idea. If you cant come to them they can come to you." he said. He hugged me and I kissed him.

"Arent you the best?" I said

"Yeaaaaa." he said laughing. Everyone laughed and aunt Janet clapped.

"LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!"
