Shifting
Daniel and Hazel were extremely edgy about their livelihood now as Daniel had lost his job. They were concerned about their daughter's future a lot and wanted her to live a happy and memorable childhood and youth. They were depressed by the fact that Daniel was now jobless, their house they took on rent couldn't be relied on for a long time and their daughter's future could be seen as nothing but dark! They, firstly had to search for a house that was cheap enough to be bought. But then Daniel got an idea. He said, "Hey, how could we be so dumb??? NO! How could you be so dumb?" "What?" inquired Hazel.
"I mean how could we forget that your parents own a house in the countryside?"
"Are you talking about the Whisper Woodland House? Don't tell me that you are talking about it?
"NO! I am talking about Munchkin Land near Emerald City, where the munchkins live? Oh God! How many houses do you own in the countryside! Yes, I am talking about the so called Whisper Woody House, whatever the name is! We can shift there and no one from your family lives there! We would have no burden and I can search for a new job then, easily."
"NOOOOO! We are not going there, i am telling you Daniel and by the way, you have become grumpier than ever since this tragedy happened to us! But, whatever we are not going there, there is no way we are going there!"
It took a great deal of time to convince Hazel for this easy step though but Daniel didn't care to know why she was so sensitive about it, he thought he already knew that the reason was she didn't want to take any other favours from her parents but the real thing was something else but let the suspense be.
Hazel went to Gretel's room and saw she was studying, she told her to go to bed early and acknowledged her about the shifting. She said, "Gretel, I think you should go to bed now, you will have a busy day tomorrow."
"Really? Am I joining school from tomorrow again?" She said in an excited tone. But Hazel sadly nodded and said, "No, we are moving to the countryside, we are going to start packing tomorrow." "Do we really have to go? Can't we stay here?" she said dishearteningly, "Wait, are you saying we are moving to the whisper woodlands?"
"Yes"
"O My God, I am so excited, countryside means so much fun and adventure and grandpa's house is totally going to be a fabulous experience!"
This tells that Gretel was a really positive 15 year old girl who always found something to be happy about in everything and she was very cheerful too. Describing Gretel's personality, I would say that she was an adventurous soul, hopeful, kind and sensible. She was also really understanding. Gretel was excited about shifting and the same time sad that she had to leave her school, beloved home and friends to move into the deep green countryside. They had everything packed and done in less than two weeks and after taking one last look of their house that held so many memories, fifteen years of Gretel's life, she departed and moved to their new dwelling, each of them with a different feeling, Hazel-scared, Gretel-excited, and lastly Daniel-relieved.
